magda and Basia take it easy, no ironing allowed!! You both seem to have handled surgery very elegantly.
I think I am ok, havevsurgery in two weeks, repeat if what failed in december and my stonach already churns every so often, I am so scared it wont work again and i so need it to, there will be more afterwards but i need success and hope. Have been using the BRAVA on my own terms (ie nit ten hours per day!) and I think chest is less tight, be interested to see what surgeon thinks.
Hope everyone is truckin ok?
-
Lily, it is good to hear from you. Waiting for surgery is hard ... I hope you have some fun things planned for the next two weeks.
-
Oh waiting for surgery sucks, I would always just put it out of my head with the thought that oh maybe I'll change my mind, in my head I figured it was my choice, well I knew somhow I'd have it done, but for the time before I just really convinced myself I wasn't going to do it and tell everyone I wasn't.
-
Hi hermits- glad to hear everyone here is doing okay.
I am done with the work scene for four days. Looking forward to some downtime. Will write more this weekend. Going to yoga tonight to let it all go on the mat.......

Cami, I read your comment to DH and he says you are right about my being special. But he is really the special one. We met at a cast party for a small theater group he started, 27 years ago this Friday. We got married two months later, at the courthouse, by a cross-eyed judge. We have had some pretty rough times, but he is such an amazing person, brilliant, funny, talented, loving, generous, sexy, a man of sterling integrity and excellent character. I consider myself incredibly blessed and unbelievably fortunate that he fell in love with me. I am 9 years older than he, and I came with a lot of baggage – dysfunctional family, rebellious youth, carrying grief from relinquishing a son to adoption, and miscarrying 3 others, a long struggle with clinical depression, and 2 divorces – he took on a lot, and never looked back. He's my hero, and the biggest reason I'm going to beat this thing.

Hi Ladies,
Sorry I have been MIA. The memory is the first thing to go, lol. I thought I had posted in here yesterday. I am feeling much better than I expected. This surgery was a piece of cake compared to all the others I have had. The waiting is killing me though. I don't understand why it takes so long for a pathology report. My friend is ready to drive from another state to go over to the BS's office and get the report himself, lol. He's an awesome friend, we grew up across the street from each other, he was my brother's best friend and like another brother to me. Hard to believe he is going thru pancreatic cancer for 14 years and is so worried about me and not himself. I am truly blessed to have so many special people in my life. My husband has been awesome from day 1 with this cancer journey. He took the week off just incase I needed him, but I sent him to work yesterday, he was too nervous just sitting around the house.
I have a ton of work to do today, decided to go away for the weekend so that I am not online reading stuff to drive myself crazy with. Have to pack up the kids before they get home from school.
Have a great weekend!
-
Have a restful Memorial Day weekend ;o)
-
Basia- it took two weeks for my pathology report with my BC surgery. The waiting is the worst. Wishing for clear margins and good outcomes on the nodes.
-
Basia, I hope you have a wonderful weekend with great weather, good food, and special activities.
Jazzy and Teka, I sure did enjoy the animal pictures. Animal pics seem to have a relaxing effect on me. Thanks for posting them.
-
Hi hermits- we had a bad hail storm (or two) this afternoon. Pea sized and coming down with such force. I just replaced the roof last fall due to a bad storm last summer with high winds and hail.
I am worried about my roof again as there is a small leak coming through the vent in the guest bathroom. Something is damaged. Put in another claim with the insurance company to come out and look at the situation.
Not a great way to start the holiday weekend (sigh)......
-
-
Jazzy,
Maybe, roof is only a minor repair!
Tomorrow, Hubby & I are going with Daughter to buy grape tomato & flower plants at a local orchard.
Start of a busy Memorial Day weekend!
-
Teka- yes, hoping so! Thanks for the encouraging words.
Have fun shopping for the plants! Can't wait to hear what you find there!
-
Good Morning--I'm here at the oddest times.
My post just got erased. GRRRRR
I was saying to Mags and Basia how wonderful it is to have partners that don't cause stress, in fact add to u'r happiness--it's so healthy for u. Mags u had a rough start, but came out with happiness.
Sally show me pics of our furbabies and my heart melts.
Teka
Jazzy

We're planning on being at my DD1's home with alot of family and just sleeping there, I hope it's nice with the sun out I can't wait to be in the pool, it makes my body feel normal. It's so movable LOL plus all the laughing and good times--u have to know this side of my family is the crazy side and my sister, the other side my brothers are more proper and think my sister and I are crazy. -
Cami- you are a night owl, we know that about you! So good to hear that will be in the pool at DDs. I love the pool too for all the reasons you talk about. You enjoy your day.
BTW, how did those nails come out?
Sunny morning as the day begins. I have a few home thing to do and then plan to get out and about to do a few things.
Hoping everyone has a good official start to the weekend!
-
Hi Jazzy--I never got them done--I don't know what I was thinking--cuz Monday is usually my busiest day with the most problems too--si I'm glad I stayed home and did my job cuz I had to make calls back and act like these customers weren't forgotten but jobs overlapped not meaning to of course. Oh I can go anytime almost--but again they're acting up my one thumbnail is splitting down the middle all the way???? Such silly stuff.
-
Cami- oh no about the split nail. Better to not have anything done in a salon if that is going on. Has that happened before?
I did a little home pedi yesterday and it made me think of you. I cleaned out the cabinet in the master bath and found some mint green polish and did my nails. Added some toe rings after too. Summer and painted toe nails go hand in hand.
I was going to go do some errands but may take a nap. I have dull headache today. Tylenol, take me away......
-
Jazzy I'm glad u'r relaxing and pampering u'rself. My nails have been crazy ever since chemo--they're still crooked and dumb looking, some are perfect???????????
-
Jazzy, green toes with rings sounds like an excellent way to usher in summer.
