*George & Robin*
-
Now here's a beautiful face.................my sweetie pie
-
Awwww quite a beautiful face.
I would pick George Clooney and Joan Rivers, or Sally Field
-
Dragging...trying to get caught up with reading the threads.....too tired, but have the Oscars on. U2 is playing. Did you know Bono has bad allergies and this often affects his vocals?
I dig the Edge.
I was very touched by Jared Letos acceptance speech, but more so by his mothers reaction as they said his name.
And gosh...isn't she beautiful
I love the classic look of most of the ladies dresses this year. Elegant, nice lines and very flattering cuts/colors. Really liking the grey and cocoa tones that are showing up.
Anywho, this poor working stiff is.....stiff and tired
Caught a glimpse of Harry Belafonte Jr. *sigh*
What a handsome fellow!
Oh and Bradley is looking very yummy too!
-
Piper I thought pretty much the same thing about the fashion I don't think I saw anything outrageous yet like we sometimes do, and yes everything u said is true. Of course I have no opinion, I didn't see any of the movies and Jared Leto always takes his mom--how sweet. Well I'll watch Fashion Police and see anything that a bit goofy and the best--it should be on tomorrow nite.
I hope u get some goo rest tonite.

Neat story.............Sidney Poitier made a movie in Philly when I was much younger, and my youngest baby was about a year old.............His trailer was parked in the lot of the General Electric Co. which was behind our house......I decided to walk around to see what was going on.........I was carrying my daughter Nicasia, and as we passed the trailer who comes out but Sidney Poitier...............he looked at me, then my daughter and said .............how old is she.............I near died, and could not speak but finally said ...........shes 18 months old...............he said...........that is the most beautiful child I have ever seen...............
So on the Red Carpet tonight when he appeared I text my daughter and said "if your watching the Oscars one of your favorite admirers is on...........love telling that story........The name of the movie was The Lost Man...........
-
Piper,
Veggie soup was good!
-

Now that's a story--a really good one--Wow u met him.....I remember that movie too.
-
Pink, lovely red dress!
-
Yes Cam I did......and he actually took her out of my arms and carried her down the street to where the rest of the cast was shooting, and said "Look at this beautiful child, can we find a spot for her in the movie"...........hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, and handed her back to me, and said ......."face of an angel"..........
She had beautiful curly black hair, olive skin, and dark eyes.....and is still beautiful today...and is 45 with 2 children of her own.......this is her today.
-
Ducky,
What an awesome & special moment for you!!!
-
This is her with her Dad before he died and as a bride which he never got to see.....so sad for her..
-
Ducky yes she is and her hir is so pretty, nice and full.
-
Ducky- what a cool story about Sidney Portier. Your daughter is beautiful too! What a nice memory!
It is cool to see some of the legends at this Oscars. And I agree, the dresses are very lovely tonight.
The only movie star I ever came face to face with was Christopher Reeve. Back around the time he was in Superman. He was on my plane to CA in 1978, when I went out to visit my sister when she lived in CA the first time. He was so handsome.
We have a lot of things filmed here in NM. There is a big studio across the street from my client site where many of the inside shots are done. We always hope we will be out grabbing lunch and run into someone. Like Johnny Depp, for example. He is always filming something here.
-
OMG.....I would show my husband and my daughter, and Bette Midler would sing Wind Beneath My Wings......my husbands favorite song.......
-
I always loved *Bette Midler* in the movie *Beaches*.
-
Ducky how sweet and yep he is handsome ---Oh I love that song along with just a few others like that--she did a great job, She did sing an octave lower but still sounded great and all those people who passed--I didn't know a couple of them died actually.
-
She is fantastic.........I have every CD she has made.....
-
My actual favorite from Bette Miller was Boogy Woogie Bugle Boy from Company C===She's great doing that song to and I loved her in the movie Drowning Mona--hysterically funny and she was fantastic.
-
I haven't seen any of the nominated movies.
-
Teka I haven't even heard of a couple.
-
I usually wait for the movies to show up on TV.
-
Ducky your daughter is just beautiful. Your husband ..what a brilliant smile-so handsome.
I am diverting fro a moment. Here and on facebook..people are commending the performances of Bette and Pink. While I like both, I have to say the most impressive performance I saw recently was Katy Perry on the Beatles Tribute. I couldn't watch the show the first time around. (whatever the reason-prob too tired) but caught it when they replayed it.
Her vocal range and ability to make a song her own was amazing. I kept thinking ,,,I knew I liked her voice...just never ealized how truly talented she is.....
OMG Ducky.....
There's your daughters admirer.....I think I am going to cry now
awwwwww
-
Mom & I loved *Sidney Poitier* in the movie *Lilies Of The Field*.
-
Oh yea with the nuns.
-
I only saw the beginning of the *Beatles Tribute*.
-
Yes, camillegal.
-
Wow how about that............he was so much younger back then.....it was 1969, and what a handsome man...........amazing actor.........he played in Lilies of the Field........if you have not seen it, try to rent it if that still happens.....fantastic movie.....his list of movies is endless.........
Wow how cool to see him........and relive the experience again of meeting him..........my grandchildren were so cute......one is 15 the other 13......when she told them they said "wow Mom you could have been a movie star".....LOL.....This is her children
