Teka- you are waiting for George Clooney at the Oscars, yes?
-
It's -25 here with the wind chill. I walked the tag to the can but that as adventurous as I'm going to get today. We have a wind chill advisory until 12pm Tuesday.
The dance team took 2nd for their pom routine at regional competition. My daughter and niece both dance on the team. I get to be a proud mama and a proud aunt.
State competition on Saturday.

Ginger, I'm so sorry for how you've suffered all this time. A broken back and nobody knew? Wow! It's amazing you didn't cause more damage by moving around. You're a TROOPER, you are!
We basically crawled to church today. It snowed all day yesterday and today until around noon. Though we did have a heat wave. It got all the way up to 23 degrees today. Warmest it's been all week. We went to O'Charleys for lunch. There are 5 of us that go each Sunday ( 6 when we have a Grandkidlet...most weeks) but today we were a party of 12.
My Grandaughter, Kaylen, Drew this picture. I told her I'd share it with you all.
-
Dutchiris-dang that is too cold!
But congrats on the girls coming in second. I hope they do GREAT this coming weekend!
-
I hope George Clooney shows up at the Oscars.
-
Teka- I think Ginger said she met him or saw him once at some film thing. Ginger, did I read that somewhere or dream it? Teka is a big GC fan.
-
Hi hermies,
Ginger so sorry about your accident, ye gads. I am glad you are free of pain when sitting and playing with your granddaughter. All the best Ginger.
LOVE the Kitty Kat Big Time
Watching the Grammys, is anyone else watching here in BCO land? Taylor was beautiful, Keith Urban makes me drool, LOL
.
You go Ringo!!!
-
Fur- I am watching it but it just started 30 min ago.
I have to say I liked the Robin Thicke/Chicago performance. Unlikely pairing of musicians, but they made it work!
-
OOh I really enjoyed Pink, but I do like her anyway===and Ringo sounds better now than he did years ago and I like seeing him with Paul McCartney----Of course Joey filled me in on people I don't even know.
-
Justin Bieber being shut out of the Grammy's?
He's on a slippery slope while climbing over fool's hill.
-
Sweet Dreams!!
-
I really like the Daft Punk group with Stevie Wonder. Glad they won a bunch of awards!
They were playing your song Cami, "she's up all night to get lucky!" Okay, maybe you are just up all night!
-
Jazzy,
You are one Fab lady, working on a book? That must be so thrilling for you! I need to start reading novels again. My mind has been all over the place and I have such an issue with concentration. This has been going on for over a year now. I am going to make it a point to start reading again this week.
I hope you gals have a great week. I will be in touch as I have my consult for Rads tomorrow.
-
UGH!! Soooooo tired of hearing about the "Beib" Ouuuuuhhhh massive intervention, whatever kid get your act together NOW!!!!!
-
Too Much too soon.
Fur let us know how it goes for u--- It's really much easier than it sounds--u'll be fine.
Jazzy I'm so old I hardly understood any words--if it wasn't for Joey I wouldn't have known anything. And Willie Nelson etc. I didn't like what they sang at all. Oh I'm so picky.
-
I loved Daft Punk and Stevie...and of course Pink!! Didn't like the Robin Thick and chicago....
Ginger so sorry hope you are on the mend although slowly....
Hey Cammie, what's hangin??
Jazzy you are truly an inspiration...love hearing your thoughts for the day, and what you have done for the day!!
when I had my twins who were 4.4 and 4.11 I had to leave them at the hospital, it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do....I went everyday for a week and Michael was released and George a week later, all with the heart monitors and lung monitors Christmas eve....
-
Jazzy girl, yes I did write about George Clooney, you weren't dreaming. I wrote that he is a hunk, he is perfectly proportioned and is just all around bigger than one would think from films. My DD used to work for Warner Bros for a producer who produced many of Clooney's enterprises. Then Clooney opened his own production company there and he was around on the lot. I also got to go to parties with my DD.
Teka if you are a fan of Clooney you have excellent taste.
Hugs Ginger

Oh how can u not be a fan of George Clooney. Yum
I've been so busy with phone calls today this is the first--except for a couple of minutes--but I thought I'd pop in. It's so cold here no schools open, everyone is just staying in, if they can. Supposed to be like this a couple more days???? Brutal out.
Some of u know Chevy and they had to put her Lacee to sleeptoday, It's so sad.
I'm beat out now--I'm such a wimp.
-
So sad!!

Hi hermits- hard day at work, too many expectations in every direction! I try to make it a reasonable day and came home to make some chicken fajitas (just the chicken mix with some guac and sour creme) and two cups of fresh vegetables. Yummy dinner!
Went to lunch with a friend today who has had cancer not once, but twice now (two different kinds) and is struggling to get the his insurance to pay for some treatments at MD Anderson in Houston that they won't. So sad to me, I went out of state for some of my treatment and got my insurance to approve my treatments without any problem. His health plan is not one I have or am looking to enroll in when I need to change this spring, but it creates an awareness for me as I shop in the market.
He told me that he has several friends who have obtained new plans and have had their pre-existing conditions denied for coverage when the time came for care or medicines. I thought to myself "how can that be, the new laws have made that illegal?" So I did some research after work and here is something to know IF you are going to be looking on the market for new insurance.
The individual plans you may purchase outside of the new healthcare exchanges may be considered "grandfathered plans" and my exclude pre-exisiting conditions. They won't deny you coverage, but won't cover any earlier conditions. So it is really important to enroll before the end of the period open this year (end of March) and through the ACA to make sure you medical expenses are covered for any ongoing care for bc (or anything else you have going on!)
https://www.healthcare.gov/what-if-i-have-a-pre-ex...
I sort of new that it was important to re-enroll before the end of the deadline, but wanted to share with you in case anyone else out there is looking to buy insurance in the market place this spring before the ACA enrollment ends that you have to be careful about what type of plan you choose. You DON'T want to enroll in anything considered a grandfathered plan. The link above from the gov web site explains it too. So buyer beware!
