Marty- welcome to our thread. I am with you, ready for the new year and a breath of fresh air.
Teka- 7 hours to midnight. I won't make it up to then. But maybe until 9 p.m.!
Talked to my best friend who still lives back east. Good two hour catch up on the phone. Today is her wedding anniversary (I was in their wedding) and also the passing of her mother 29 years ago. We had a good talk about many things, and I learned some things she did for our mother when she was in a nursing home for awhile back east. Made me love her that much more. Thank god for those deep abiding friendships that carry us through life.

Some idiot decided to get his New Year's Eve celebrating on early and mowed down a power pole just down the road from me. I was without power for about 7 hours.
Just now trying to catch up.
I use Aquaphor and haven't noticed any staining, but do only wear my older tank tops when I first slather it on.
Hi Marty, welcome!
Lovely poem CCFW! I'm going to steal it and share on my diabetes forum. Is that OK?
Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone! Wishing health, happiness and abundance for all of us!
Me, I'm staying in tonight and watching Dr Who reruns on BBCAmerica.

Hi hermits- happy New Year! Had a quiet night at home. Well, mostly quiet. Like many shared, there were fireworks around. But at midnight, people shoot guns up into the air. That is right, GUNS! Nothing like living in the wild west!
Hope everyone has a good day today!
-
New Year's Day, and time to pack away X-mas!
-
Teka--I know everything comes down and the outside lights will too, and I hate tht--everything is so dark then.
-
Yes, but downhill to Spring!
-
Happy New Year ladies! Here's to a fresh start (hopefully cancer free) for all of us!
I was finally able to get in to see my RO yesterday. Turns out I have a deep infection in my breast (possibly bacteria that is on the implant) and they put me on a week (possibly two) of anti-biotics. I was so happy to hear that I was not "over-reacting or imagining" the pain. I really was prepared for him to look at me and just say, "Yeah...it's the after effects of rads....you just have to deal with it." I'm glad I was better safe than sorry. My guess is I've had the infection for about a month now. He said he did not feel as if it were Cellulitis and that is good.
I pray you are all healing and at peace. Love to you all. Thank you all for just being "you."
Love, Laurie
XOXOXOXO

Jazzy the fools here shoot guns at 12 too. A few years ago a young boy got hit by a bullet, in his brain, from a gun shot a mile away! The boy lived, but has damage. Idiots!
