Lovely Kitty!!
-
Kath u seem to have come a long way since we first met--and the reason I say that is not just cuz it's true but to remind Newbies that things change, tho u might not feel like u did a while back u o feel different and more willing and wanting to go out of u way for others now too.
Every day is a blessing and every blessing is a day and days add up to start a whole New Year, which I still can't believe.
-
the Veggy fund was started by Fire.....planned step by step by Fire and her loving grandaughter. seen through till the end by Fire......and so it goes.....she loved Veggy , and was her best friend from their first meeting till she lost her........I feel honored to be friends with Fire.......she hads a loving heart......
This is for those who wonder where the Veggy Fund originated....hugs and thanks to all who contributed......
-
Lilly, I don't know what to say. (((hugs))) I wish I could be of help.
Paula, I will be at your pocket party.
Hey Jazzy, I'm on a decluttering mission too. It will be a long mission!
Blondie, it was happy news to hear that chemo went better than you expected.
-
Ducky I know Fire loved Veggy--u could even tell and I'm sure she still feels great sorrow , when u loose a dear, dear friend it's so very hard. And I still expect to see Veggy posting--she was so nice and cute and was playful. We all miss her, but Fire was exceptionally close.
-
its a different nurse every time not a doctor, i see the surgeon tomorrow but i do look for changes.......
-
Lily55,
Pleased that you see the surgeon tomorrow and receive words of encouragement!
-
duckyb1, Thank You for the public information about the "veggy fund".
-
your welcome all.....Fire may be a Firecracker, but takes credit for little.....this fund came out of love for Veggy and her family.....she misses her dearly, and it wil take time, but she will get through this.......
May Veggy rest in peace, always smiling down on us, along with other dear friends who took Veggy home......
-
Lily, keeping you in my prayers. I too think you should let them change your dressings you don't want to miss something doing it yourself. I agree with kathec that maybe a change of doctors might be in order if possible. Glad you are seeing the dr tomorrow.
In your pocket too Paula!
Yeah, I say that every year too Jazzy, but looking at my desk right now, I failed again this year!!
I hear ya Teka, I can't wait to see this year in the rear view mirror! Just seems like it is taking too long to be over.
Love the painting kathec!! You have such a gift!
cami, I love how you said that! "Every day is a blessing and every blessing is a day and days add up to start a whole New Year, which I still can't believe."
I didn't know veggy, but it is always sad to lose a "sister". Hope that Firecracker finds some peace.
Hugs to all!
-
Kathec.....I WANT TO THANK YOU.....you are so kind........Veggy lives on in our hearts......TIME HEALS
-
Not sure what "public information" means, but I deserve no credit, or thanks......This was Fires commemoration done out of love and friendship.......
-
duckyb1, if you're referring to my prior post, I should've said the following------------
duckyb1, Thank You for the public post information about the "veggy fund".
duckyb1, I've seen no other public post giving information about the "veggy fund" on any thread.
What post did I miss?
-
Teka, what happened was you are not supposed to ask for money on bco. it can only be done by individual pm. and i didnt know that, and on the veggy thread, i did ask! and then had to ask moderators to delete the posts cause fire & i both didnt want to get in anymore trouble than we usually are! so they did delete. and i wrote to the women individually i know here, for veggys and grannys sake. i thought i asked everybody, if i missed you, i am so sorry, i dont know if the fund is still opened, but you could ask grannydukes(firekracker for sure. i did have a lot going on that month, and barely even got to my own email, or xmas shopping decorating, etc, so again if i did miss anyone, i am so sorry. plus my memory is almost non exixtant... i barely even made it to hemies in november.
-
thanks Kath...for saving me an explanation......you got it perfect......like you was unaware of a rule at the time..I would have thought since we can donate to BC.Org for someone who passes....why not to the individual person.........oh well...rules are rules....
-
kathec, Hubby & I donate to the local cancer center, BC patients are always in need of help with back & forth travel expenses during BC treatments.
So, I didn't miss a post!
-
Teka no, you did not miss a post it happened just as Kath said..........have to abide by the rules.don't think anyone knew there was a rule........
-
I feel the best Thank You from FireKracker would be to------------share some fond memories of veggy.
-
the only way to appreciate Veggy is to go on past threads she was on, and read her posts.....she had a way of saying things that repeating could not duplicate.......that is what I did, and the fun thing was there was so much I had forgotten.....some I laughed out loud with......one especially funny was .our big girl panty" comments...............
Veggy was on many threads...well known, and loved by, and laughed with many.....that is how I remembered her.......going back brought me comfort.......she was a lovely character.......even when we were in the "basement" (as we called it).....she never lost her sense of humor........still I go back.....
-
Kathy- I love your painting. A cat named lump, perfect. And Cami is right, you are healing, growing, helping others here.
Lilly- I hope the visit with the surgeon goes well tomorrow. We will be here to listen with whatever you want to share. Holding you in our circle of love and light here.
It is so sad to hear of the loss of a fellow warrior here. I know that happened a month or so ago. We know many strides have been made with battling cancer, but there are not guarantees. We take nothing for granted anymore. Peace and love to all those who knew and loved Veggy.
Wishing everyone a peaceful new year. Back to work tomorrow and will check on New Years Day to see how my ladies are doing.
-
I saw this on FB. I think it is a good idea to keep a list of all the good things that happen to us during the year!
-
Jazzy.....great idea......thanks for sharing....
-
Am I Correct, veggy for a long time had the Pink Panther as her Avatar?
I'll go for that Jazzygirl.
-
Hi everyone---as I was reading I started thinking about Veggy, she was a hoot, I always enjoyed her. She is missed.
Jazzy if u check up on us on New Year's day--I will probably be nursing a hangover, from sipping change at midnite--one sip seems to do it now, well if I can stay up for midnite.'I;m sure Teka and Ducky will be a sip ahead of me.
-
Cami- you party girl! I will definitely check in to see who has a hangover! Party on hermits!
I think we all need T-shirts that say Stay Calm and Hermit!
-
Will be sitting here New Years Eve with my Great Grand dog...taking care of her for my grandson who is on a cruise with his Dd...( my son) and the rest of their family.......right now "Snickers" is sharing the recliner, but I am losing the battle for comfort.........
Watching the Eagles......hope they beat Dallas....ahead, but we need a couple " insurance TD's"......almost 10 PM, and it's only 1/2 time....
-
