Two exceptional pieces. The care is that no knives be used. This has delicate strawberries..

What happened in the industry , I think, based on what I have seen in ensuing years, is the anniversary 25 year anniversary plates. . The older appreciation of anything classy has fallen away. But these two pieces are a joy.for their arteristy.

What's an interesting loveliness difference between the pics. is the depth. The first platter b/c of the curve shows a depth that the second flat platter doesn't. Hmmm a lesson.

There is a certain pattern that was very common to this period. For some reason I dislike it very much. But to each it's own.

Remember the thrifting mantra 1. It appeals to you 2. the price is right(barter when you can). 3 you have a use for it. 4. You have never seen it before.

Number 4 can translate many ways. I just think these are works of art, but in the storage cupboard which I have many, is a pewter casserole with a pyrex insert that I've used once in maybe 15 years. So. the casserole fit the mantra, but didn't work out.

Donnie and I had a rare weekend, two days together. Started of nicely, then a swim. Off too lunch, but stopped of at the SPCA thrift and some great buys. I showed you the pic of the great plate. BUT I was blown away, my pattern of my 'good dishes' had two plates, sugar, creamer, and two salad bowls.9$. RC well over a hundred.

I tried to explain to Donnie why I never bought the extended stuff. All the stuff I bought was on sale. I concentrated on needed. This stuff is much fun b/c it was Bauhaus which was I guess acquired by Trend Pacific. Half my set is Bauhaus and half Trend Pacific. At replacements.com you can't find Bauhaus.............It has to be Trend Pacicfic

    Going on a trip

I feel in love with the pattern and it was on a 50% of sale in Akron Ohio. DH was totally against it. We go to Pittsburg and he sees it on a table setting says "I really like that" Me, "You could have had a 12 piece place setting, for the price of one place setting, if you hade listened to me" Got total final 8place settings over several years

Had one chipped plate and one chipped bowl, always put them at my place setting.

So. today I find 2plates, 2bowls, sugar & creamer Per RC it's well over a hundred. Great fun for 9$

Sounds crazy to be in love with this pattern, but it has a raised edge. Plus, a friend at the time in the 70's clued me in on the value of white. It goes with any color you want to create. Can and have mixed with red, blue, green, and old glass layered. It is a great base for any color. Plus, it is timeless. Hmmm may look boring on the picture, but it is the easiest to decorate around.

I told the kids they could have it. She said she loved it. I made sure it was spectacular at presentation at last Thanksgiving, with the intent they take it.

They registered at B&B for square stuff..

Kathy.wedding stuff...........the kids cut out all family, with on exception on his first cousin on my side, They have been like brothers growing up. The rest of the family, I get the exclusion. But. there is a very local family of the bride. They are connected ....small grouped with spouses is only about < 2O. I think it's a great mistake, I'm going to put pressure that they don't negate the locales they see every holiday. The up norther's will never know.. Any way , dislike future discord.

Hi everyone, Sorry, but I just don't have the energy right now to read through everything and add to the conversation. Just a quick update since you are all so kind to be concerned..DD is doing much better. The kids came home from their dad's at 7 tonight and she was more herself. It took a while for the coughing to calm down when she went to bed, but she's definitely on the road to recovery and well enough for school tomorrow.

    Hugs!

Awww, look at the rolls on her arms and those cheeks!!

Sensi, I want that pup!! Up to you regarding lunch. Is your mouth better?

Jazzy, is it that time of the year already for the air balloons?

Susan, forgot what I wanted to say to you. I know it will come later. On my lunch break. Still waiting for my lunch to come. Not sure what is going on in the kitchen I need food to think.

    Jean, welcome!

Ms. Sas, DD's dorm mate got her printer to work. Thank God for friends.

Ahhhh I remembere now ,Susan...is the o on keyboard working or my new nickname is Liver?

Shepkitty, I did bring enough snack for everyone "just in case" people mistaken me as a giant drum stick. Btw, I would prefer to be a vegetarian. Mitzy didn't come with me. Wish she wasn't terified of strangers. She would not have enjoyed the trip. Both DDs plays the piano since five. I am terrible at it.

WildT, yay. Antibiotics work wonders when they hit the right bug.

BBL. Need to go back to work.

My kids were happy to go off to school today, and they seemed to have a good day. This AM was day 4 out of 5 for my DD's antibiotic and I noticed a rash on her leg. Then tonight there were several red patchy areas. I'm thinking a reaction to the antibiotic, as nothing else has changed with her recently. So, I'll be calling Dr in AM and won't give that last dose until I talk to someone. Man, we can't catch a break!!

I worked (sub lunch lady) at the elementary school that my kids attended when they were young, so that was kinda fun to see some of the staff and tell them the kids were now off to high school. I'm there tomorrow and Wed too. Tomorrow I'll have to be up by 5 to get myself ready before I get the kids ready for school. The bus comes at 7:15 and I'll leave home at 7:30 to go to my therapist before heading to work.

Sensi, best wishes for Wed, and the days following.

Susan, DD is amazing..she just rolls with everything she has been through. Becoming mom to DD and DS is the best thing I've ever done!

Smaarty, The kids were excited, but it was a tiring day for them. This evening they had a therapeutic horseback riding lesson on top of the school day. They typically ride in the summer only, but with school starting early the summer/school year calendars overlapped. It was their last lesson of the year, though. Those cheeks on Evie! How do you not kiss that face all the time?!

Loverly, Sas, Jazzy, Shep, Wren, Junie...hey girls. Thinking of you!!!

    Hi Patty & Jean.

WildT ~ Just peeking in and saw your post. Rash and antibiotics ......dang. Can DD take benadryl? I've had lifelong issues with the anti-b's. I get a few hives at first, then the red patches start . Hate it. Do you have a nurse help line you can call? The ER at our nearby hospital is really good about taking phone calls and giving advice. Hoping DD can finish her medicine without any problems. Posting this quick so you'll see it.............

Loverly - Today was day 15 with NO dislocations. I was using my wheelchair for the last few weeks, but this last weekend I decided to start walking with walker again. Went for a 4 block walk on Saturday, then added a few more on Sunday and today I volunteered, so took the bus and walked 4 blocks to the office and 3 blocks back to the bus. Feels good, but I can still hear/feel my hip go clunk, clunk clunk when I walk. I'd say that the ligaments and tendons are still loose as a goose. Hopefully they will get stronger as I walk more and maintain my STRICT hip precautions. Ribs are way better too. Only get some soreness there when I do a lot of upper body movement, like showering, dressing and hair drying type stuff.

Susan - I am so sorry to hear that you had to let Marley go back to that situation. I thought you were going to re-home her with a couple. Also, I really get your walking away from your brother & mother. Those toxic relationships are very stressful and no good is likely to ever come from you being their whipping girl. As Loverly said, God knows your heart.

Shep - Even after I adjusted the brace and put it on I lasted for about 5 minutes. It was so uncomfortable & heavy that I took it off and threw it in the corner. I am just being very careful with my movements and where I step and praying for continued safety.

Sorry to hear your tummy is beating you up tonight. Hope it settles down with the tea.

By the way, how are Miss Marti & Miss Pris? You haven't shared any pics of those 2 critters in a long while.

    Hello PattyP!

Sensi - I hope your infusion goes well on Wednesday. I go for my injections on Wednesday and restart the Ibrance if my ANC is high enough.

Ok, Ladies, it's time to say Goodnight. Sleep well all.

JunieB, yay for being intact for 15 days straight. It is good you are trying to exercise to strengthen your leg muscles, but please listen to your body and be careful. We want you to fully recover so you can enjoy your walk with that puppy.

Ms. Sas, I love the simple white plate. Goes with most decor.

WildT, sounds like a possible allergic reaction to the antibiotics. Did they give her Zithromax (azithromycin)? Praying for strength and stamina for you to get through this week.

    Hugs back to you Pattycake.

    Sleep fairy has arrived. Nite.

wildtulip, I hope the nurse gave you a answer to solve the rash. So sorry this isnt going smoothly. How frustrating. Hang in there...prayers and hugs your way

Jazz June, yeah for 15 days. Good girl. I left my brother. Haven't talked to mom, but I thought I would take that one slowly. I have never set boundaries, so I though I might just call occasionally. She won't know with her alztimers how often I call. But I won't visit cause she lives with my brother and I don't want to enter that toxic house. And with Marley back there, I don't want yo see her yelled at cause she will be going in the house again and mom hits her cause she doesn't know any better . Can't see that. Yes I was going to give her away, but but hit so bad with my brother, the only way I could be done with him was to give the dog back, otherwise it would be constant verbal abuse. I hope the caregiver loves dogs. Marleyshould be well taken care of ten hours a day, mon-Friday by the caregiver. Otherwise I would have faught harder.

    Sheps, how's the tummy?

    Patti, hi girlfriend

Lover, how is your daughter doing at college so far?

Gotta get ready for work :)

Hi Patty. Thanks for checking in.

Our wedding china was white and now I use white Corelle. Mom wanted a pattern and didn't give up until we'd looked at every piece of china in the city and narrowed it down to 3 white patterns. I've read that you eat less off red plates. I might see if I can find a few cheap ones to test that out. I could do with eating less.

The Dr said that we won't ever know for sure if rash on DD was caused by infection itself or the antibiotic, but that we should assume it was the antibiotic and avoid it. Loverly, yes, it was azithromycin. It was good I didn't give today's dose, and after listening to her lungs, the Dr said we do not need to give her another antibiotic. He was really surprised at how good she sounded! The Dr also said the rash could last a few days to weeks, but it's not contagious. Apparently benadryl, or any other antihistamine, would help with any itching, but would not help the rash itself. So, there's really nothing to do for it, except wait for it to go away.

    Off to bed...sweet dreams, everyone.

Sas- did you ever hear back from Wenchie? She's been MIA on our August chemo board.  Another member there sent her a message, and heard back from her.  She's been overwhelmed with appointments and needed a little break.  Said she will be back soon.

Susan-I'm doing ok with the hair loss. Though I think I look like a little old man.  I know it will grow back eventually ;)

Tulips-thanks for the good thoughts for tomorrow.  Glad to hear that your DD is doing better.

Lover-Thanks (shape of head) everyone keeps saying I've got a good shaped head.  Not sure about lunch on Friday. Will have to play it by ear and see how I'm feeling.

Wren-I got a bunch of head buffs.  Though I'm finding that my head is sensitive to wearing them and hats (gives me a headach)

    JazzyJune-Congrats on 15 days ;)

Think I'm ready for my second infusion tomorrow. Met with MO today. She said my labs came back great. They are adding Benadryl and Pepcid to my course of treatment to prevent the adverse reaction to taxotere again.  Doc also gave me RX for antibiotic should I feel the mouth infection start to come back when my WBC starts to drop again.

Hope everyone else is well. I'll lurk and check back in a couple of days ;)

WildT, yes it was good you didn't give her today's dose. It can take roughly 2 weeks before Zithromax is completely cleared from her system so the rash might linger at least that long. As long as the rash doesn't get worse, I wouldn't worry.

Sensi and JunieB, best wishes tomorrow.

Susan, DD is doing better. She might swim for the school (depends on the cuts) which is a good distraction for her. Hopefully, she will learn to manage her time and balance her schedule. Hard to grow when you are too comfortable at home. I need to remind myself that she needs to develop strength in her wings so she can fly. We are driving down there again this 3 day weekend to visit her. Most of the people she met will go home for the weekend. We might need to temporary adopt one of her friends whose family is from Chicago.

Shepk, Mitzy seems to do better. Dd2 tries to give her more attention and keeps her occupied.

Hey, Sensi. Completely understand. You need rest, but if you are up for lunch we can come to pick you up and take you to wherever you feel like going. Thanks for letting us know about Lori.

Ms.Wren, I think I need to get a red plate for myself too. I think I have gained 8 pounds since dx. There is no way my implants weigh that much.

Well, love you all, came here about 8:30 checked housekeeping threads and got into the fray. Been pontificating ever since.

    https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/73/topics/847566?page=1#idx_20

Anyone whose been pissed off about their drugs and the damage drugs do, and the stupidity that attitude can make a difference. Please, post I've pushed hard on the Mods to take a main post item off from a newly published German study.

Attitude about getting through all this does make a difference, I'm not clueless to that. But this stupid German study is going to be trouble for years and years. You will understand when you read the two threads.
