Smaarty, I will take a look at that thread. Thank you for the info!
Jeanq, yes, I was told the same thing as far as reason for needing LD flap. I was just thinking the tissue would heal with more time, and therefore maybe you wouldn't need it. This wa,s not based on anything..just my incorrect thought process! I was given a prescription for a prosthesis (so ins would pay for it), by my general surgeon, I think. I was told I had to wait 4-6 weeks after BMX to get it. Be sure to check that the store where you get your prosthesis is in network. I didn't like my first prosthesis and when I was contemplating recon surgery, my PS told me this..."You have reconstruction, it's just external. Go out and get a different prosthesis, one you really like, and after wearing it a few months if you still want surgery, then you know you're ready." He was right!

On our way to So Cal and guess who is driving like a mad man? I have spasm in my shoulders. Not sure if it's better to be behind the wheel or a tensed back seat driver. Hmmm... I will continue to take pictures.

Reception is not good on this looooong stretch of road.
-
Loverly, are you taking highway 5 down? It's a boring road. Tell your driver not to fly on that highway! Glad to know you talked to your dad on the memories. Would love to hear some of the history. Have a nice time seeing DD1. Don't cry too much, she is an adult now.
-
loverly. What a beautiful drive. Hope you arrived safely. Have fun

she looks like three different kids...lol

Susan, Adorable!
JeanQ, My doc said to wait 4 weeks before wearing a bra and I had one side done. I have a lighter weight silicone foob but mostly wear the weighted foam one (Trulife 611). I would love to be able to wear a camisole with foob, but the real one needs more support than that. The infinity-type scarves are pretty good camouflage until you can wear foobs. And they're a lot easier to wear in the fall & winter. Be sure to find a place that knows what they're doing to be fitted. Luckily, we have an awesome place in Seattle. Nordstrom also does mx bras and will sew a pocket into any bra you buy there.

Love that mischievous look on the first photo of Elena. Oh wait....was she doing the number 2? And Claire is beautiful.
-
Susan ~ Without using words Elena can tell a story. Such an expressive face! She is favoring Claire more and more. Wonder how close their personalities will be? Hope Claire was a good baby☺
Poo face? Mean Loverly!

Loverly ~ On the road at daybreak again and hubby already driving full throttle 😱
-
Hey, ShepK, are you guys in the path of hurricane Hermine? Have been thinking about you. Pris is just like her Mama.
-
Wish I had that helmet.
-
Loverly ~ Pris and I alike? 'Cuz we are both adorable and so much fun! 😀
The hurricane just brought rain thank goodness. I don't think we've had a "real" hurricane here for at least 15 years. We go through periods of heavy storm activity - I'm glad for the extended break! I was living only a mile or so from the beach before building the house we live now. Evacuations are mandatory during major storms when you live close to the ocean. Not easy with pets and a toddler. Now we can stay put. My house is just far enough from the coast to be out of the evacuaion area but still close enough to get to the beach by car in 10 minutes.
Just looked up and saw your pic..... eeeek!

Reading the news....."Earthquake in Oklahoma was also felt in Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Nebraska, and Iowa"...... That's not supposed to happen there! Everyone okay out that way?
Hmmm....Patty's been bustin' loose like a wild colt. Methinks they got it wrong and all that earthshaking started in Arkansas!
-
got another one tonight. Glow in the dark. They wouldn't go out to eat with me unles I showered. Go figure...the nerve
-
So, very much fun on the last couple pages. Beautiful
Thanks Loverly, for posting to Nay. Others did too, no post from her on action yet.

Always the wrabble rouser, but this is important as I usually take on windmill stuff. If you or someone on the board would think this issue is important, please post yourself, or pass on as useful to another

Susan, Elena is sure getting a personality. Bet just like grandmas
-
shep. Lol. It was me.
Susan. Love the pics. Wish I could hold her. Nothing like loving on a baby. btw you are looking great also
-
regarding the earthquake, I'm in Missouri, we felt it here, strong enough to rattle lamps and shelves. It was a strong one!
-
meadow. What part of MO do you live in ? Maybe we are neighbors. Wish I lived close enough to meet a bco member. I am in Northeast Arkansas. We didn't feel the earth quake here.
Good morning ladies. Off to a great start feeling incredibly wonderful here. Yea. Hope everyone has an awesome day

Hi everyone! Wow! I'm so far behind and I don't think I'll ever be able to catch up! 😳
I'm loving all the pictures and funnies. You ladies rock! Thank you for all the concern for me but I'm hoping I'm out of my funk for awhile! 💜
Chemo has been going good so far. Infusion #3 on Tuesday and I'm kinda looking forward to it, at least I'll know we're progressing anyway! I had a bad reaction to one of the meds they gave me to fight the SEs of chemo. If the meds used to fight SEs is worse than the chemo itself, I'll pass thank you very much.
VENTING.......To add to everything going on with my BC my Mom's health has been declining pretty quickly. My DH has had to pick her up off the floor a few times as she's gotten so weak. She wants me to wait on her hand and foot and I refused as I'm putting myself first for a change! I took her to her dermatologist on Friday for a rash that turned out to be shingles. Mom wants me to wash the rash and put meds on it. I gave her some disposable wash clothes and told her to wash it herself then I'd put the cream on. It's bad enough that it's highly contagious and I'm on another Med to help me fight against getting it myself. I tell her everyday that if I get that crap I'm going in the hospital. She just doesn't get it! We've made the decision that it's time for her to go into a nursing home, I can't do this anymore. I've got aides and nurses coming into the house 4 times a week to help but Mom needs 24/7 help now. I feel bad about it but I have to take care of me from now on. VENT OVER....
These guys pretty much sums up the past few weeks for me. Nothing but blue skies and positive thinkin' from now on!
Hugs and love to All
