Loverly, Steve was maybe five when the girl about sixteen walked by with a mullet several colors. I made him promise never to come home with that... Hmm many of the same colors, I put in my hair today
-
I have done that before, Mommy. The condition is called Having Too Many Things On the Mind.
JunieB, HAPPY to see you. Was a bit concerned becaused of the side effects of the Ibrance you were having. I am troubled by the fact that the ammonia level is elevated. Your liver is taxed. Praying for right timing for surgery and that doc can get your ammonia level down soon. Sorry about the not so good timing for the pup. Hugs
Ms. Sas, mom is still with us physically, but mentally only less than half of the time because of her depression, migraine, and insomnia. It makes me sad when she is in the pit. I believe she might be suffering from bipolar disorder. She has all the signs and symptoms, but NO we don't talk about that because it's a social stigma. I just treasure her good days. I feel bad for Dad. Mental disorders, like cancer, not only affects the patients, but also their loved ones. As far as the pfffit, it was just last Tuesday. Cramps and bright yellow you know what, and then finger size💩 I think that was food related and cumulative stress. All tests came back normal. Ultrasound was also normal. It might be food related. I need to be more disco pants ( that was supposed to be disciplined)...,darn autocorrect. Oh, two of us four girls have 50% of mom's look.
Jazzy, big Sis, are you still doing yoga? Oh how I wish we lived closed by so I can join you with the yoga. My Mitzy has learned two yoga moves.
The dead insect
The cobra
She doesn't look as graceful though.
-
Too true. Gots my hands full right now on the home front.
-
Loverly Mitzy's cobra pose is much better then mine. Yes the mullet hair style is from the eighties and it needs to stay there. Here is a couple of pictures of my garden from last year.

Loverly ~ you had it right the 1st time....Disco Pants!
Much more fun than discipline
-
Hahahahaha can't wear them with my muffin top. I would need this 100 of these underneath.
Mommy, our brain can only handle so much distractions.
Hey Trish, welcome!!! Sorry for the bad relationship....very stressful.
Minion, maybe long acting Propranolol would help to control the racing heart with less sedation. Are you petite??
-
Forward, beautiful garden!! Love the deep maroon petunias. What are the vines with yellow flowers next to them?? Thanks for the pictures.
-
Loverly it is either zucchini or pattypans , I can't remember which one I planted there. It was the first time l grew pattypans had enough to feed a dozen families. Here is a picture of them
-
Ugh, one of the colors I got yesterday drowns out all but three colors I am using in my project. I want it to be just right as it's a gift for my favorite SIL.
-
Loveroflife- yes, still doing yoga! I went to a class last week at the gym, but also do yoga on my patio a lot in the warmer weather (spring, summer, fall). This weekend, one of my yoga teachers is starting her summer "full moon yoga" series where we go do yoga outdoors under the full moon in the evening. One of my favorite things to do here in the spring and summer! I will try to get a picture of the circle so you can get a sense of it.
Ha ha, Mitzy loves the yoga. Upward dog for her! A lot of the yoga poses feature animals like Cat or Cow Pose, Upward or Downward Facing Dog, Dead Bug pose (as you noted), Cobra, Crane, Dolphin and so on.
-
I'm loving all the garden pictures! Keep them coming!
Mitzy reminds me of my old chocolate lab Abbey, when I'd put my mat on the floor I could never get to it before she did! I'd roll her off but she'd just climb on top of me and lay there. She weighed 60 lbs but she made my situps more challenging! I miss my old girl but I couldn't bring myself to replace her. My DH didn't care for her much, he always told me he was going to take me to the ER to get my dog removed from my butt! Funny man!!

PHOOEY, I was down to my last sentence on checking in with everyone. The MS said a critical error occurred and restarted. Lost the post.
So if anyone was expecting a post, oh wellll. Chit
Susan and Lookie you both have the same type of dog

Wench and Lookie Link to gardening thread..... Gardening, anyone? Wench love the stories about you Lab.
Loverly, sorry about your Mom, hard to see them drift away. Love Mitsy's yoga poses.
-
morning all. Evie is fine so far. Waiting on the other 3. At least one of them will get the chicken pox.
I started back to swim classes last week. First time doing water yoga. Never liked yoga on dry land! Been sore all weekend. The girls are really tight, hopefully from the exercise. I hate to think they're becoming encapsulated. Got to much coming up to do anything with the boobs.
Working on a baby quilt, new grand nephew coming in September. She's doing Peter Rabbit theme, so that's what the quilt is. Just finished embroidering the 6 blocks I needed. Back to work.
Hope everyone has a nice week. Getting hot already.
-
Finally got some colors that work together for my SIL's gif

Just got back from son in laws med school graduation They walk with their kids if they have them. Was very cool. Haven't been on thread cause I got caught up in a great audio book. The Boston girl. I would recommend to anyone. But listening was great cause of the narrator. 80 year old Jewish women telling her life story to a grandchild. Great listen.
Yeah for no lymph nodes
Beautiful gardens
Sad for mom depression
My mom is getting much worse with her alztimers....and brother bought a puppy....ahhhhhh. So mom is home during the day with puppy alone...to say the least...not going well
Very busy with kids now. Almost done packing. There move is in 3 weeks. Going to their new place to paint a room on Thursday. And on Thursday, in the suburb next to them, is a metatastic breast cancer conference...so I think I will go to that first, then paint some rooms. Hopefully it will be an uplifting conference...otherwise I might be throwing the paint at the wall.. Ha ha

My daughter turned 8 and had her friend sleep over, ofcourse I had two cat naps that day, ha!
My calcium is up a little, go for 6mth PET beginning of June.
Oh and I gained 10lbs over the last week, I only wish it was from eating Bon Bon's on the couch. Sooo signed up for Plexus, if that doesn't work then my doc wants to try a medical weightloss program...jeesh!
Hello to everyone, sorry if I missed you, my memory sucks
-
Happy days.....the drains are out. Next stop, meeting with the MO on June 14th to see if further treatment is needed. Hate that there's the question if I'll be triple negative or not. More waiting, but I'll just keep swimming
-
yeah sensi
-
good news, Sensi. Now remember to still take it easy. Still on any pain pills? I will check with DGS about lawns.
Susan, great pic.
-
Been off the pain pills for a week tomorrow. Just taking ibuprofen and a Benadryl at night for itching. The older I get, apparently my skin doesn't like adhesives. Still giving it a few more days till I drive. I tend to overdue it to soon, so I'm trying to behave
-
Sensi hooray for being drainless.
Susan nice picture of sil and Elena. My father had Alzheimer's and passed away last fall. It is a horrible disease and very hard on the family
Our reno is almost done. The countertops went in today and the backsplash should be finished tomorrow. I am glad that I don't have to look like a million dollars at eight in the morning anymore or should say I don't have to wear the darn prostheses
-
Susan- I am sorry about your mom. Both of my parents had dementia at the end, different kinds. My dad has Alsheimers so I cannot imagine anyone getting a puppy and leaving it with someone mentally impaired. Unfair to both. Hugs sister.
-
thanks jazz..sorry you went through the same.
-
Yeah Sensi, No drains!
Today I went for my pre-op appt. and had an opportunity to ask my doctor about the results that were high on my CBC from last Friday. When I saw the elevated numbers I got on the computer and Googled them. When I typed in BA%, it came back as elevated blood ammonia. However, the doctor today corrected me by explaining that the BA% in the CBC actually stands for Basophils, not blood ammonia. So, as it turns out all my counts are normal and I've been cleared for surgery.
So, I guess the lesson here is that one should never count on Google for reliable medical information. Always check with your medical professional.
Lookie - The pics of your yard are very pretty. It seems very relaxing. Also I think you mentioned the idea of me fostering dogs until I can get one of my own. However, where I live, we are not allowed to have any pets other than our own. We're not even supposed to have visitors that bring their pets. Nor can I have someone come and do pet sitting if I had a dog and had to go somewhere, even overnight. Oh the joys of living in HUD housing.
Also, the pattypans look great. My Mother used to cut them up, saute them with butter and salt/pepper, then put them in a baking dish and sprinkle Monterey Jack on top and bake it until the cheese melted. Yummy! When growing your own, do you buy them in seed form or plant form? I'd like to grow some.
Loverly - Mitzy is sooooo funny.
Myra - Sorry your having such difficulty finding colors that match your vision. The creative process can be a challenge sometimes. I am knitting another crib blanket and was happily knitting along today and realized I'd forgotten one yarn over, which throws the whole pattern off, so I'm taking out several rows, stitch by stitch. UGH!
Shep - You never told me what it is you finally found.
Susan - Great pic of your SIL & Elena @ graduation.
Hello Jazzygirl, it seems like you've got competition from Miss Mitzy in the yoga poses.
-
Oh yeah, I forgot,
On the way home on the train from my doctors appts. in Portland today I met a woman who has stage 3 lung cancer. So during the entire ride home we discussed our different experiences with some of our docs and the hospitals we'd each been to. At one point an older woman walking down the isle leaned over to me and whispered " I had BC 30 years ago and I'm fine, so just hang tough, you'll be fine".
What part of Stage 4 does she not understand? Geeeez!
