That darn hormone therapy....I forgot to shave!

The moderators, after I pm'd them with my last post, have told me it VIOLATES the Comunity Rules, so I've pm'd them back and asked to be told specifically what rule it violates. Truth telling is now a violation of community rules???
So it my posts are removed - I am not the one deleting them. But after a group of women, who held a BCO banner in front of them, that Judith & Co. were so EAGEr to provide them, can't be protected against attacks by the very person who ATTACKED BCO publically on a review site - then,
I guess, I'm trying to help the wrong organization.
-
Blue - I am wiping coffee off my computer screen!
-
I am getting SICK of this - the HYPOCRISY of it all.....next time the moderators at BCO want someone to help defend them on a public review site, they better not ask me.
I'd rather face the REAL hurricane than the hypocrisy of BCO.
Off to watch the rain - good luck friends - as has often been stated, ignoring doesn't seem to stop some people from attacking.
-
Athena:
I agree with everything you said - I will not ignore - the mods need to take care of this problem once and for all.
-
PIcked these up the other day!

-
Nothing says "fashionista" like cloven-hoof boots! Suits your devilish personality, Blue. ;-)
-
THE BOOTS
BLUE, you are the BEST!!!!! cloven hooves...in GOLD - too bad they don't blink & glitter on & off...tee, hee... ah, is this a violation of community rules????? tee, hee....
-
OK Ladies, let's all relax a bit. There are nuts and then there are nuts. Just laugh at them. If they know they have upset you, then they win. I won't let anyone upset me. Especially anyone who acts like a moron. Throw back what is thrown at you, without breaking any rules. If they want to post here, well they do so at their own peril!
-
OMG .. I can't wear a bikini .. I have a panniculus. wahhh!
Blue .. it looks like you morphed with Tom Cruise. ha!
Off to walmart .. the most wonderful place of fashion!
hugs,
Bren -
Wise Blue, wise....just so annoying - and pretending NOT to know about the review site - when at the moderators request, we spent so much time posting NEW reviews praising - only to get those horrid comments, again, and again, and again. While she wasn't the instigator of all that, she sure contributed to it BIG TIME. And then to pretend "friendship" - BLEAH! OK. I will leave the responses to you. Let BCO defend itself in public - next time it happens, cuz we all know how well ignoring works - it will happen. ;-)
MOderators, delete as you wish...delete, delete, delete.....hypocrisy seems to trump honesty at BCO.
-
I know Sunflowers. Sometimes nothing works with that type of person. That's just the way of it. She should be ashamed but as we say in Italian "faccia tosta"!
I'm off to visit with my GS. See you all later!
-
Yup, you're right, Blue Sad they have to be among us. You'd think at least one place could be moron free. HEY, we could declare this to be a Moron free Zone??? Naw, you're right, nothing would work when someone is THAT dumb.
-
Nah, not dumb. Just having her own brand of fun.
Where's our next scooter-gang trip?
-
ooooh, E, what a horrible truth. The hypocrisy of someone 'spouting' sweetness/light/happyhappy, and getting her kicks attacking other women....triple bleah...
I think we're gonna need small boots if it's anywhere near new england!
Winds are really getting stronger - and we're still about 4 or 5 hours away from having the "eye" pass over us.
Well, much as I really like the folks on this thread - it's a good time to be offline for a while!
Good luck to all. Sunflowers
-
Sunflowers, I hope you stay dry and powered! Same goes for everyone in that b*tch Irene's path. Haven't talked with my SO in Brooklyn yet this morning; he has a hurricane evacuee from Coney Island staying with him and spent yesterday tying down the stuff on the roofdeck that was too big to bring indoors. Then, in the evening, a big group braved the rain to listen to Bulgarian Gypsy music at a nearby club. I'm sure everyone was fashionably dressed.
(Hurricane checklist: milk, coffee, batteries, bread, Bulgarian Gypsy music, Italian shoes.)
L
-
You forgot to add bling to your hurricane checklist. Sheesh.
-
Sunflowers, hoping for the best for you. Looks like NYC dodged a bullet. Thay said the West Village usually floods but didn't. Ann, isn't that where you live?
-
It's just a 'girly game'. You need to reconnect with your long buried 'Junior High Princess Diva' persona if you wish to play along.
I was happy that Ann posted the picture again ... it always makes me smile to see you all! Even in casual dress instead of sequins and 6 inch heels
Sitting there in jeans and a 12 year old Grateful Dead tshirt last night I couldn't help but laugh ... good thing she didn't get a look at me.blue ... you are gorgeous but you probably should let that beard grow longer. Then you could curl it and perhaps add some red glitter so it would 'pop'.
The main problem last night was that we were worried about Libby and trying to touch base with all those in the path of the hurricane. When you are concerned about the well being of your friends it's hard to be patient with foolishness.
Glad to hear that Irene has moderated some. It is a nasty storm but hopefully everybody will escape with houses and property intact! Those with power outages won't be able to check in ... that sucks!
-
E- I thought I covered bling when I said sequined foul weather gear was optional.
eta: where I live, dressed up means you tuck in your shirt.
Glad to hear most are safe and sound.
-
Ha Ha Blue........you are so funny!!! What a wonderful group of ladies at NOTL!!! Sorry I missed it, I haven't been keeping up much!
Blue......how was the EX??? Did you get to try some of those most famous foods they have been advertising?????
Really overcast and windy here today, hope everyone in storms path are safe!
Oh I have one more thing to add to list of preparations............MONEY!!!!!! No power =no bank machines or debit! If your like me I never have much cash on me and during a long power outage this is not good! During that big failure back in 03 was it??? When the whole grid went down we were without power for a few days too! My boss at the time was so sweet and was letting people get necessities with IOU's!!!!!! Yea, small town good heartedness!
Geez, edited that because I should have checked my spelling!!! Duh!!

Haven't been posting, but, boy, have I been lurking! I tend to agree with the mods that ignoring really does work. I'm convinced that it's a desperate plea for attention. Problem is, we don't really ignore. In the heat of the moment we talk about about ignoring, but discussing it is not really ignoring it. I have a novel idea - we could develop a CODE word! We're good at codes, right? When things get hairy, we just say the word, no other comments. My vote is for DILLIGAF (thanks to my dear Junie) or ITSB. Pmail me if you don't know the meanings. Any other suggestions? I know some of you will think this is childish - and you would be correct. The whole damn thing is childish.
What really prompted me to come out of hiding is that picture of me crossing the street. I thought we promised to keep those pics secret. Someone is going to pay! And - you know who you are. -
Thank you, Mods, for deleting rainbowpony's post.
And thank you Blue, for letting us know what you sisters were really up to! I knew "NOTL" was code for Vegas!
Welcome, craizydaisy!
-
Lost creek .. you crack me up. Getting dressed up for me means getting out of my pj's before Tim gets home! ha!
Rabbit .. I agree with you. Last night was particularly frustrating because we were concerned about Libby and the Irene folks. I was trying to post about Libby having a hard time, and I didn't understand why all the nonsense about fashion. I think a big smile and a twinkle in your eyes is about all the fashion statement a person needs. Oh and a little lipstick.
hugs,
Bren

hi, crazydaisy - great idea! I did that, only after a friend suggested it yesterday, when she explained WHY everybody was urging us to fill up gas tanks.
Impossible to describe the building wind - and the SMELL of the leaves being stripped off the trees. Western MA is very, wooded, or was, b4 the ice storm a few years ago. It smells like it did in DC in about 1988, when a "wind burst" went thru town. As if everyone was chopping down trees.
There are HUGE limbs down around my cabin, but so far, no big trees. Heard on radio that they did close the two main roads going west of us, because of fallen trees. Now warning of tornados. Ah, well, as entrance to little cellar is OUTside the cabin, I'm told my bathub will do. Very strange we still have electricity. Very strange...
Hope others are well too. Looks like it's past NYC and really on it's way here...
ETA Happy Libby - BE WELL and healing....
-
Hi from Scotland - too much to catch up on but looks like it was fun there for a while.
I love Scotland - did a tour of the Trosaachs and Loch Lomond today - went out on a loch cruise too. Stopped in at Stirling Castle but didn't go in as DH and I will do that when we're alone.
Went to an irish Rock show in Glasgow last night and I got involved in the mosh pit - loved it. Heavy rock with a bit of Irish flute thrown in.
We're off to Dundee tomorrow.
Hope you are all safe!!!
Sue

Thanks Athena!! I read this thread all the time but don't post much, just hang around, get some good chuckles, and post occasionally.
Bren, I have to agree with you! Luv hanging out in my PJ'S!!!!! Get dressed because I have too! Either for work, or hubbs coming home or have to leave the house for something! If it's late enough at nite I may just sneak to the store in them!! haha
Sunflowers...........I hope you didn't have too much property damage!!! I worry about our cabin up north when there are bad storms! We have a massive pine that almost touches the side of it, I would hate to see the results if it ever came down We are heading there this thursday for 6 days! Can't wait! All these storms do make me think of getting a generator tho, I don't know if I could survive too long off the grid!!! Ya know, a girl has to have her hot showers!!!
-
BTW.......Bren, what is a panniculas???? Bakinis are long past for me!!! I like the ones with the separate little skirt bottom..........covers a bit more!
-
Hah, Crazydaisy, I laughed at your bikini comment. I wear them and probably shouldn't, I'm sure. Hee hee.
-
Lost Creek - I would love to meet you one day! Love your comments and you sound so down to earth.
Me.....just a barn girl with my hair in a ponytail 24/7 unless I am going on date night. Make up? At the most 4 times a month and I have only once in my life actually put nail polish on my toes and it was to make fun of myself with a long time group of friends. Finger nail polish - no way in heck. All it takes is tightening up a girth and it is chipped.
I wanted to puke about 5 pages back - our sand box is not open to hypocrites as far as I am concerned.
Friday night I got 3.5 hours of sleep and had to get up and go to the horse show on Saturday. Last night I slept for 12 hours straight. The good news? The show was a blast and Jazzy and I got our highest score ever and we were there without a trainer to boot!! That was the last show for the season for us so we have 6 months to prep for next year. Once again....the person that was supposed to videotape us sucked really bad and I have no video! You never know when you ask a stranger to video if it is going to come out or not.
Hope that Libby is doing better - thanks for the updates as they come in.
