Who has cake? I want some. I would have posted sooner but I had to finish my ice cream and my brownie. When I die I want to have a smile and chocolate on my lips
-
I need the weight, so cheese is good for calcium and...er...weight.
-
"Cheese is evil too..."
Ummmmmm...just trying to fatten E up a bit...her weight is very low. I personally just add a couple of teaspoons of cheese to get some dairy.
I like the tortilla addition.
-
Hey! I don't need the weight but I got it. Hamburger for me tonight, no cheese so you see, I'm being good (would have been better with cheese). Laura might approve of my bananna chips for a sweet finish. If not, they're good, you need to try them!
-
E - TOO FUNNY...we were posting at the same time! LOL
-
Does anybody do anything special for Mardi Gras?
-
I got some dehydrated banana chips at Trader Joe's and some dried pineapple. No sugar, no sulfur, nothing but fruit. Good stuff!
Is it worth it to buy a dehydrator, I wonder?
-
I have no sympathy for people who talk about their thin-ness. E, you are NOT making friends here.
Athena, the thinner-than-when-you-met-me.
-
Enjoyful, my brother loves his dehydrator. But he makes beef jerky, not dried fruit.
No, I don't eat it.
-
A friend of mine was talking about what was on a co worker's FB page today at lunch. She doesn't have a FB page but her daughter-in-law has one and is friends with someone else who is friends with the co worker in the office. The DIL could see everything on the co worker's page but could not post anything to it because she was not a "friend" but she was a "friend" of a "friend" and could see all. You may have your settings high but I get the feeling it's like having sex with someone. When you "friend" someone, you don't know where that "friend" has been or what (or who) they may have picked up. I don't have one and will do a lot more research before I make that move.
-
Hahahaha Athena! (Sorry!)
-
I have a dehydrator, used it for apples one year and it does great. Bluberries (I have bushes at the edge of the yard) turn into little black rocks. I bet strawberries would be great. Maybe give it a try if my mom and dad have any this year. Crasons or dried cranberries are great but they add sugar to sweeten them up.

BTW, does anyone know why the number of unread posts has soared on this thread in recent days? I know of two people that are no longer with us - Tupelo and sammysmom - but surey they did not account for that many posts?
Up to a week ago, my screen always showed 51 unread posts for me (since I didn't participate in the beginning). Now I am getting 118. Doesn't make sense either because if an account gets removed you would think that would lead to fewer unread posts, no?
-
I can't believe you guys - today is Shrove Tuesday - PANCAKES FOR DINNER!!!
Also E don't beat yourself up about the cake that dish you made (from Laura) is loaded with carbs which turn into sugar instantly - diabetics don't eat beans (dh was one for 25 years) or pasta, or bread (unless it is whole grain and then only 2 slices a day and not together - aren't you special having to gain weight - grrrrrr.
Hugs, Sandy

What screen shows you unread posts?
-
BinVa, thanks, I've been off trying to find such a screen and feeling like I must be the only one who didn't know about it.
-
Bren, click on "View all active topics" making sure that you are logged in when you do so. You will see, from left to right, the name of the forum, the name of the topic, the name of the OP and time and date of post, the name of the most recent post and minutes or hours gone by since said post, and then the number of unread (by you) posts.
-
Active topics show unread posts on the right side of the screen.
-
Rosemary - just got back from the parades...........My closest friend lives on the route, it makes it easy for us to pull up park, bathrooms and rest. They had Popeyes fried chicken and hotdogs for anyone who was hungry.
-
Mine says 125, and I know for a fact that I've read every single post on this thread (some more than once and some I wish I hadn't) and I always sign in. So, something is off.
-
Well I used to have a skinny problem, now I have to watch what I eat. Gained 15 lbs. in two months after my surgery.
-
Laissez les bon temps rouler.
-
Mine says 125 unread posts as well.
???

Rosemary - Je n'en suis pas sur....(where's that little hat for the "u")
-
Kadeeb - on that FB thing - you can set all your settings to friends only, it's not the default and you have to actively set it. What you described is the default setting. I know if one of my friends posts on a page for some one who is not a friend of mine, I can usually see only that particular post on the non-friends's page because my friend posted on it and they have the default setting.
I do know that any postings to my page do not show up on anyone else's pages unless they are friends.
Oh and my unread said 51 and it does say 125 now - I suspect it is because so many posts were reinstated?
-
Mine says 125 too.
-
Mine says 126. could it be that deleted posts have been put back on and since we haven't gone back and read them again that they're counted as unread? Just guessing.
-
Athena
I do not know. My computer does not speak French very well- and the 10 year of French I had are dying from lack of use.
-
Kadeeb - I was editing when you were posting
. Great minds think alike?
-
LOL!!! Luckily you didn't say anything too complicated, otherwise I would have had trouble too, believe me. It's been a long time since school days.
