Well .. shoot, I missed all the excitement last night. Why does everything have to happen so late at night. Maybe cause it's after happy hour. That's all I can think of.
I'm not giving anything up for Lent. I don't do Lent. I do however like Christmas and all the presents.

Me, too, Bren. I love being able to pick and choose my holidays!! March Madness is MY lent season. I give up everything for basketball!!! I'm such a nerd--I can't wait to start filling out my brackets!
-
Lent isn't my thing - which is lucky because I have leftover brownies that I sure wouldn't want to go to waste.
-
I have leftover butter sauteed chicken from last night. Think I will heat it up with some spinach. No leftover kahlua chocolate mousse torte, though. Too bad.
-
I would love some of that chocolate cake with my coffee!
Bren
-
Oh, Bren, it was beyond divine.
-
The weather is so crummy today .. lots of rain for today and tomorrow .. and I have lots of errands to run. Guess I better get out the umbrella! It's a good thing I work indoors from home.
Bren
-
Bren, Hate to say it (and no I am not rubbing it in) but you should move to Treasure Island. High today 82 with big puffy white clouds in a deep blue sky. Much like VA in the fall. Aaaahhh. Too bad I have to work today.
-
Barbara .. you're right .. Tim would LOVE to move to Florida. We're both tired of the long winters up here. I miss San Diego where I could garden year round. I imagine FL is like that too. I'd just be happy if some of the trees started leafing again!
hugs,
Bren

If you move to FL, live on the beach, as it is easily 10-15 degrees cooler than inland. It can be 103 in Orlando and 88 and breezy here on TI. Since I have lived here (15+ years) it has never gone above 96-97. Winter, Spring and Fall are like fall in VA. Cool nights, bright non-humid warm days. Paradise. I love to garden also.

Waaaaah! I want Blue back. Nothing to do with Jim's come hither eyes.
-
How do we get Blue back .. should I send a note to Melissa?
Bren
-
Free Blue and Athena.
-
Athena too? The lioness? The queen of all cats must be freed! MEOW!!!
-
How did Blue get banned and Althena too? I must have missed something.
-
The board went nuclear last night. It was Three Mile Island (TMI) all over again.
-
E: Frankly I don't think this mess is over yet. Now we have Shokk on the other thread wanting us to team up with "them" to stop whoever is trying to destroy ALL of us! Something must be in the water and we are ALL drinking it! Melissa says she is working on the problem and I sure hope she comes up with some answers soon. No time for fun any more. Too many "mysteries!"
-
Cannot believe that Athena and Blue have been banned - are they really banned or just on 5 posts per day.
As for "other site" - think we don't need to go there either to read or to join up with - let's let sleeping dogs lie and hope that the mods at both places can come up with the perp or perps.
Please don't laugh at me but I got a great recipe this morning at the hair salon (they let me come every six or eight weeks and they trim and dye my sparse strands) - anyway it's brussel sprouts cut in half tossed with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper and a can of chestnuts (not water chestnuts) - about 15 minutes before the brussel sprouts are cooked through add prunes - this lady and her teenage daughter told me they are "the best" - hey it's worth a try, can find chestnuts around here at Christmas but haven't tried at this time of year.

Medigal .. I think Melissa is trying hard to sort this mess out. It can't be easy with so many different things going on at one time. I do believe the most pressing issue is that of all the deleting ... and I believe the tech team can figure something out. They will most likely find a way to identify the user ID's by their IP address. That will solve a lot of the problems with multiple ID's people use to hit the "report this post button."
Bren
-
Oh Sandy....not prunes. No no no no no.
-
Here's an idea -
We all join the 'other' site and keep the free-for-alls off of bco.org.
-
That's probably a good idea E. Do you think they would go for it?
Bren
-
Seriously, I knew I'd get flack for the prunes but they swear by this recipe - I actually like prunes but it sounded a little unusual even to me - I am thinking a little splash of balsalmic vinegar in this mix might actually make it all come together - sorry E.
Sandy
-
I doubt it. They seem a close-knit group.
Maybe a separate site then. "BC Mud Wrestling" or something like that. :-)
-
BC Roller Derby
-
OMG .. Ann could you see all of us, speaking for myself now .. old broads, going round and round in roller skates! It made me LOL.
Bren
-
Well, we go round and round on politics, so why not add skates? I like it!
-
BinVa, I'm sure I'm older and broader -- hahaha!
-
Okay, I'm game, as long as there are railings to hold onto and I can have some knee and elbow pads! Maybe the other gals can open a thread up for us to rollerskate on!
Bren
-
Enjoyful, if you think prunes are too icky for brussel sprouts, try adding golden raisins, perhaps? Same texture, still sweet, a lot of fiber...
I think anyone opening up a NEW thread for roller derby is just asking for the same butt-kicking that Blue and Athena got. No thanks!! And I won't be going over to the other place for nothin'.
Haven't put on roller skates since I lost the key for the ones I had. Okay, that dates me...
