Mimi, it is similar to cream cheese, with slightly less calories.
I weighed yesterday afternoon, and at that point...no loss. I am starting to get frustrated. I rode my bike twice this week, and have tried to do better at eating like more salads. But we ate take out several times.
-
Im happy the way this weight is going down.
I dont have unrealistic goals which can never happen, will continue the healthy eating with few exceptions here and there. maybe 5 more pounds.
This morning with my glasses on I weight 158.8
-
Down 1.6#, but that only puts me at 146.6, not less than last posted.
So, back to the drawing board. I know there are some things I've had (crackers, pizza, dessert) that I shouldn't have had, but it is so darn hard to not have anything that I like. I do not want to turn into a piece of broccoli with sweet baby greens hair & blueberry fingernails.
PauldingMom, I guess we have to up our exercise? Make our portions smaller? Hang in there. Next week is next week!! We can do this!!! And we will!!!
Sheila ~ CONGRATS !
-
Valerie...smaller portions and exercise helped me a lot.
Yes I miss my gold fish, and some other things.
Once I have base weight which I decided around 155 I can go up and down couple of pounds.
Yes We can do this and we are doing it.
-
Seyla, unmless you wear really think glasses, I doubt that it would take anything off the scale!
Move more, Eat less!
-
Thanks girls:) I think pizza is my weakness. Thanks for the encouraging words. Off to eat my lunch, apples and walnuts, oh and Code Red Mt. Dew.
-
Meece, can you log me as 161.59 this week please??
I've been putting in a good effort and I hope I can keep it up until I knock off another few pounds. I've been doing this a long time now and it is getting harder to achieve weekly losses.
This thread has helped me to stay focused and I love hearing all the stories from the others here - when you've 'sinned' and when things have gone well for you. And of course all the food hints and tips too and of course when I am busy reading and posting I can't be eating!!!
It's a bank holiday weekend here - that's always a bit harder when I'm watching what I eat but I'll keep in mind that I'll have to confess any indiscretions to you lot - that should keep me on the straight and narrow!!!
Have a good weekend!!
-
I had a grilled chicken burrito for lunch, and the two women I went out with kept trying to get me to finish the whole thing. It was probably over a pound. It was frustrating trying to get them to understand that you don't have to eat everything. I ate a little less than half.
-
O.k. Meece my weight is at 153 lbs. That's it for me this week.
Renee
-
Meece ~ Grilled chicken burrito, ummmm, yummmy!!! Good willpower on not eating it all. That is control - stopping while you are "ahead" so to speak.
Congrats Ainm & Renee!!!! You both have been doing great!
Have a great weekend everyone! I'm going to meet several ladies from the MI survivors thread here at bc.org for lunch tomorrow. I can't wait to meet some of the most wonderful sisters from this site.
-
164.2 for me today...did not exercise much this week, I definitely need to exercise more and work on portion control. Have a great weekend all!
-
Hi ladies. I wonder how this thread works. I saw a list of names and weight at the beginning of the thread. Do I post my current wt and lbs to lose there? I don't know if there is a process for this thread or just to post info and get support. That, in itself, is awesome. Just wondered...
I really need to get back on track with healthy eating, etc...I lost weight last spring and gained it back. I can't fit into my spring clothes. I am going to Barcelona the end of June and don't want to buy new stuff.
I am limited to my activity per my ps. So, walking is all I can do now. I am a snack eater--boredom mostly and of course stress, too. Would love to post here and get support. You ladies seem awesome!
Can't wait until I am at 50 posts so I can do unlimited messages! UGH.
Have a great day.
-
Hi Jean, Just post your current weight here and then every Friday we check in and post our new and improved weight.Meece runs the show here and will yell at you if you cheat! Just joking. We all fall off the wagon now and then. Welcome and healthy eating!
What type of diet are you on. I think I am the only one here doing low carb/low fat. Everyone seems to be cutting back and eating better.
-
Speaking of falling off the wagon, boy did I ever today! I ate a country fried chicken sandwich from McDonalds and some fries and a regular coke. I haven't had one in soooo long!! I had to cheat! Boy was I bad, now I've gotta get back in the saddle so to speak and keep on track.
Pauldingmom I need one of those pep talks like you did. haha
Renee

Forgot to report Friday up to 212. Ate chocolate at the Michigan get togehter today, but picked up lots of fresh salad veggies on the way home!
-
Goodvibesonly, we are here to support each othr, and one way we do this is to be honest. We can't all be perfect, so we admit to our shortcomings and gain encouragement to get back on track. On Fridays, enter a post letting us know where you stand on your weight. I go through the posts and change the weights at the top of the list. I do not post when you back slide. If you want to join in, just let me know what your starting weight will be. We are all using different methods of weight loss and exercise and we can get some great ideas from each other. You should be up to 50 posts by Tuesday!
Today I went tot a catered bbq. We were each given a 4 oz. bacon wrapped steak, and chicken breast, rice and salad. I had two small bites of my chicken and ate the rest of my meal. Everyone at the table wondered if I didn't like the chicken. Why do people think that you need to eat everything? I told them I only needed one lunch, not two!
-
Way to go Meece!!! That is sticking to the plan...
Keep it up all you wonderful ladies and we shall be slimmer by the end of summer. I have got to remotivate myself with the image of the wonderful 2 piece bathing suit I want to put on and wear to Florida or to some beach. I can do it!! I have to keep telling myself this and that this diet I'm on doesn't stink all that bad. You wonderful ladies have a little more lead way than I do going to the weight loss center. Because of my BC they have me on a diabetic type diet which sucks donkeys I might add, because there are so many things that I can't have that others on the diet plan get to have because they can buy their supplements that are sweets, and the nutrition bars, breakfast bars, etc. I however, can't. It makes sticking to the diet even harder. Which is why I have cheated some the last 2 weeks. O.k. that is my rant today!!! I got back on the wagon tonight with eating a 1/2 grilled chicken breast and one grilled brat and 2 tablespoons of baked beans. That was supper ladies.
Renee
-
I sinned bad today!!! Went to Sizzler by my self ate THREE Rolls, bowl of broc/chedder soup and a fully loaded baked potato...I didn't even touch the salad part of the salad bar. Did I mention the three choc chip cookies... Oh well back on the wagon tomorrow.
-
After all, tomorrow is..another day.

That's from Gone With The Wind... LOL!!! and it's so true
Renee

Okay so I cheated big time..... I had stage 2 of my reconstruction and I have no idea how much I weigh now but it had better be less in a couple of weeks.
Remember if you fall off the wagon get right back on....
-
Yep, Gone With the Wind. That phrase is sort of my mantra. I can be a procrastinator! I still love the phrase though.
I weighed this morning and was back up to 167! I have such a problem with "regularity" sorry if TMI. Before cancer I was as regular as a clock, then chemo and the horrid constipation, but since, my system has never got back to normal. I know if I could get back on track I could lose this weight. Any ideas for naturally restoring regularity? I treid probiotics but that didn't seem to help.
-
Don't know if I can ya there Meece. Water, water, water is my best suggestion.
Hang in there girls. It's not cheating, it just being human.
Renee, when you get that sweet craving try some frozen light whip cream. It works for me anyway. That or a roasted marshmello on the stove. I guess I like white fluffy things. (DH is not fluffy, thank you very much:) -
Lisa that made LMBO about DH :=) !!!!!!!! I might have to try the roasted marshmallow on the stove I've never done that before...hmmmm.
I love whipped cream, but not sure about the frozen kind. May give it a whirl. LOL!
Meece why don't you buy some Miralax I have lots of patients that take that daily in 8 ounce glass of water and you can buy it at the drug store. Otherwise prunes or prune juice or maybe guava juice daily is suppose to be good for that. I know how you feel I use to fairly regular as well but not any more. Or at least I would have some fluctution with my IBS but now it seems its all about the constipation side and no diarrhea ever. LOL!! I am alwas eating prunes.
-
I concur with mimi - prunes are the thing. I eat about 6 stoned dried prunes every night - it works for me !!! And if I do feel I need a little extra help, like Paulding said, water water water!!!
Was running along behind the wagon yesterday - got back on today - hope I didn't do too much damage. I have begged DH to hide the peanut butter and when I was searching for it (yes I'm that bad) I found a bar of chocolate - ate that, found the peanut butter ate that out of the jar with a spoon apart from the lashings of it I put on bread first and then washed it down with a chunk of Cheddar cheese!!! I had been very good all week up to that and was happy with my weight on Friday. Was good again today - berries for breakfast - 60 mins Wii Fit for lunch!! - chicken salad for dinner and followed that with custard and rhubarb, because it's a bank holiday weekend and I was treating myself. Don't know how I'll do tomorrow, DH wants steak sandwiches for dinner, with mushrooms and onions and I have converted him from fries to home made potato wedges.
Is it really a very Irish thing to have some form of potato with dinner most nights?? I do like rice, pasta and couscous but DH isn't very keen on them but he is not too keen on mashed pops either so I do wedges fairly regularly or roast potatoes - it is very Irish isn't it??? But then I guess we all have different eating habits!!!
Have a good week!!
-
pauldingmom--thanks for the info on this site. I am not on a specific diet now. Trying to watch carb intake--eat plenty of veg and fruit, etc... Did well on south beach a few years ago but don't have the motivation to go back on. So, sort of like a modified south beach.
MEECE--can you put me at 132 for starting wt. (my scale is really 8-10 lbs lighter than the drs. why is that?)Love reading all the info here. Once I get to my 50 posts (tomorrow) then I can go on more regularly.

Has anyone seen or heard from Nicole? I don't think we've heard from her since she got back from her mini vacation. Has she already gone to Hawaii?
Jean... I wish I already weighed 132! I remember when I did a few yrs ago and then my wt crept up on me over night with my thyroid problems. Oh to weigh that again... Big sigh!!!! :=)
Renee
-
Renee.. Im concern about her too. Her last log in was April 9th.
No she goes to Hawaii on the 18th and Im suppose to call her so we can meet.
Even if she doesnt post I will still call her on the 19th.

Meece ~ Every morning I eat Kashi Cinnamon Harvest "Bountifully Delicious Organic Whole Wheat Biscuits Baked with Cinnamon and Natural Sweetness" cereal. It is 180 calories for 28 little biscuits & I have 14, not with milk, just dry. Gives me something quick to take my little white pill with. Sometimes I have a few more, depends on if I make myself a fruit smoothie or not. I have not had a problem since I've been doing this. And believe me, I had problems sometimes. TMI ALERT: "Tiny bubbles - in the wine - make me feel happy - (NOT) - make me feel fine." HA-HA! And I drink lots of water, but if I remember correctly, you do, too.
Jean ~ The low carb thing didn't work for me. Well, I shouldn't say that. It did work for me, I got down to 136-140 but when I added carbs back in, I gained it back. So, I go light on the carbs now, do not eliminate entirely like I used to. It does work well for many, there was just some things I did not want to continue to give up: garlic toast, cinnamon rolls, ice cream, yogurt.
I think I said it before, but welcome to E-LAB. You might hear lots of fluttering sometimes as one or more of us try to get back "on the wagon" (thanks Ainm!) but with each others help, we do it!!
My SIN for this past weekend was that I made a Rhubarb cake. OM, it was soooo good. I matched DH piece for piece, SHAME on me! Had chicken this weekend with fresh garden asparagus though, so does that make up for it?!? Two pieces of homemade pizza Friday night so that was not good.
A new week begins.... Good luck sisters!
-
Valjean- They now have low carb yogurt and Bryers has low carb. ICE CREAM!! 4 gr. per serving. Of course I like about 6 servings per desert so once again, size matters. (I think I feel my MoJo improving if I'm making comments like that)
I painted 1/2 the front porch yesterday and got some pretty sun on my shoulders. I am going to keep trying to focus on the good things about my body this week. I think we should each post something about our physical self that we really like.
I'll start, I may look like I put my a$$ on backwards in the morning, flat bum and round belly, BUT I have nice legs and the ability to walk in heels.
