I worked hard in the garden yesterday. I dug up all my strawberry plants and built a slightly raised bed and replanted twenty plants in that. Then I potted 30 more plants in one gallon containers and a couple in five gallon pots. Because of how much rain we have been getting, the strawberries have been sitting in the water and rotting. I threw out literally hundreds of them. My back is sore today but I think I might have excercised off some calories. I was so tired that for dinner I had one very small piece of cold pizza and two Giant Cheetos.
I have been drinking a lot of tea and water. I love prunes, and forget about trying them. When I was on chemo I had prunes in the fridge at all times. I worry about taking anything other than natural because I would hate my system to become dependent on them. It's bad enough as it is.

I can NOT walk in heels. Have never developed that ability.
I have been told that I have a nice smile.
Smiling uses more calories than frowning, BTW.
We are now just outside of DC, back at DD2's for her doctoral recital. They don't have a scale so I'm pretending I don't know that I've fallen off the wagon. I know I'm off the wagon, I'm just attempting to keep from allowing it to run me over.
Have a good week, birdies.
Next Fri I'll be in Pittsburg, again without a scale. LOLOLOL. ( see a conspiracty theory in the making. (If I travel every Fri from now on, I'll never be accountable.)

Faith, if you are traveling through airports, you can always hop up on the luggage scale.
Believe it or not, I took a small plane down to Guantanamo a few years back and they actually did have me stand on the luggage scale so they could balance the plane! (I was a whole 150 at the time)
I brough three small fresh carrots from my garden and have been nibbling on them this morning. Had my 1/2 cup of Granola chips for break. So I have probably hit 200 calories for the day. Now if I can keep the rest of the day under control.

Yum Strawberries! Faithandfifty-I betcha got a great smile!
Good going Meece!

Lisa - I would say my best feature is my eyes. That's about it. Hoping that by the end of August I can say it's my "boobies" with a new lift and tuck in the future. LOL!! My legs will never be my best feature as they have too much cellulite and fat rolls no matter what I weigh or how little I weigh they have always been "chubby". haha!!! I take after my daddy.
Renee
-
You do have beautiful eyes Renee and that blonde hair is to die for. I don't think we women every notice anything about ourselves but the negative. From your pic. you also have a cute shaped head.
-
Renee--I know what you mean about legs! Mine will have rolls on my thighs so matter what! OMG! I used to think that I could get rid of all the fat...but realize that I should just try to tone. Unfortunately I don't stick to this too much. Up and down on the scale--which I know is the worst to do.
No exercizing Monday or Today. Crazy and work this week and can't even imagine getting on the treadmill for a walk. Did OK with food yesterday. Today---stressed and didn't say "NO" to snacks. So, had some pretzles, which isn't really bad. But now I am drinking Bailley's on ice prior to dinner. Mmmmm....tastes so good. I guess if I just have dinner and don't snack or cheat in any way later this pm I should be OK.
Have a great Wednesday.

Well I have been away for a couple of weeks and have only lost 1 lb. probably because I have not exercised.... Trying to stay on track now but what a struggle. I used to love all of me but little by little not so much. My nose is good LOL. Everybody is doing great YEAH!!
-
Used to love my legs but now even my knee's have little fat dimples...
-
I have tried, but cannot think of anything. I have been awkward since day one.
-
Meece I think you have a beautiful smile... and it looks like you have nice long legs
Renee
-
Yes, my legs are long. Makes for tough shopping for pants, but I do like my height 5'8" with a 32" inseam. I look pretty good in heels, but it has always been difficult to wear heels as it intimidates men.
-
Thanks, Mimi, you have a good outlook on things.
-
Well ladies, I'm not jumping on that wagon. No positive thoughts about myself. I'm a good Grandma, but that has nothing to do with my physical appearance. I've never really liked much about my body, nothing really. I'll stay off that.
I fixed a big bowl of Grilled Chicken Salad for dinner. YUM! DH grilled the chickie & I added tomato & croutons. I had more of those crunchy little goodies than I should have, & I did not look at the calories. I just enjoyed.
I need to get out into my flower bed - it looks terrible, but it is supposed to rain tomorrow. I will walk in my basement instead which I really need to do!
-
Good luck and Do your best. If you fall off the wagon just get up and jump on it.
See you in 3 weeks.

Gonna miss ya Sheila!
Okay ladies you are being to hard on yourselves. I am sure if we meet face to face there would be something I would be envious of about each of you. Good nails, full eyebrows, wide smile, something. No more downers!!!! We are all beautiful inside and outside.

A Quote from the movie Pretty Woman
Vivian: People put you down enough, you start to believe it.
Edward Lewis: I think you are a very bright, very special woman.
Vivian: The bad stuff is easier to believe. You ever notice that?My older sister was jealous of me when we were young and was able to say, and get others to say things about me. I was skinny, knobby knees, bit my fingernails and had heavy eyebrows. She made a point to grind my imperfections into my mind. (She never stopped, and I stopped any unneccessary contact with her after instead of congratulating me for finding a man who was kind and loving, unlike my abussive ex, she sent me a letter telling me everything she thought was wrong with me.)
Sorry for straying off topic. I want to lose some weight this week! I need to eat some foods that are filling but low calorie. I also need to move more. I need to run behind our wagon and burn those calories.
-
Have a wonderful and safe trip, Seyla. Enjoy visiting your DD!
-
Thanks Meece.
As of this morning my weight is exactly the same as Friday.
Will see what happens when Im back. We can run together behind the wagon. LOL
-
-
Your sister seems to have missed out on a great woman. I pity her.
-
I completely agree with PauldingMom, Meece. I would love to have a sister like you, but, alas, I have only a brother.
{{{{Big hug to my sister, Meecie!}}}}
-
Thank you , wonderful sisters!
I don't know what I did other than be born nearly five years after her. Oh, well, I have plenty of sisters who are caring now! Thank you!

Hello ladies. Bye Shiela! Have a great 3 weeks! Enjoy.
Love reading the positive comments. Great to see such support. I think we all are so critical of ourselves that sometimes we don't see the positive. I know that is me, too!
Out for dinner tonight with some girlfriends to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Hope to NOT eat many of the chips and salsa. But, I am going to have a nice big Margarita! Mmm...not depriving myself of that.
Hope to exercise tomorrow. Did alot of walking at my job today, which helps a litte bit.
Have a good night.
Jean

Have a good evening, Jean. Mmmmmmargaritas! Yummy!
-
Valjean - I have to tell you there is always something positive to find within yourself. Sometimes we look at ourselves and can't see it. You have a beautiful smile and great hair. I can't see your eyes because your Avatar is small and you have glasses on. I'm big on eyes, teeth and hands. Oh yeah and toenails! LOL... I like them manicured and painted in the summer (though darn it I chipped one of mine this morning when I was getting ready for work)! And hands are nice as well. Those are things that I tend to notice about people.
Sheila have a great trip!! I'll miss you and so will Idol!!!

Well, I just made some of the chips we talked about on page three of this thread. I used beet greens, and tried a variation of spices. Even DH said they were not bad. I haven't quite landed on the perfect seasoning, but I can see how I could get hooked!
-
Thank you Renee.
I remember times in grade school that I was pointed to & laughed at & that doesn't do much for ones self esteem. Never was invited to dances or outings. I remember being told I have fat knees & the part in my hair was crooked. And that was when I was 21-22 yrs old & at my office job by some co-worker. Lovely gal, she was. And I say that not in a nice way.
Oh, woe is me!!!!
Ha, ha!! I survived.
Thanks for reminding me I need to do my pedi soon! I bought some fabulous purple nail polish, it's called Party Hop by L'oreal. It hasn't been warm enough here for more than a day at a time to even think about wearing sandals yet. At least not me.
Anyway, on to the subject of food. Not making very good choices this week. Need to get back on track.... Had 3 meatballs & two spoons of mashed potato for dinner. Broccoli & baby greens for lunch dipped in small amount of Vidalia dressing. Two Edy's fruit pops.
