I am a little confused...weighed 165.9 this morning and 162.5 after dinner and a bowl of ice cream! Ugh... I cannot get anything right lately
Ainm - I am so sorry to hear about your friend...I have two ladies who I know through tx that have had relapses, are now stage IV. I hate this disease!!!
Congrats Shelia, Carollynn & Renee!
-
AINM- I betcha we all have these moments. Sometimes they are easy come easy go and sometimes they last for weeks. Since the DX it seems that more and more people approach me with news of another who hasn't faired as well as I have. It gets a little burdensome. Tonight I will be seeing a group of folks I know from before DX and I am sure I'll get the old boob stare and ,"How are you feeling?" I know no one is actually being rude but sometimes it really hurts. Hang tough buck-a-roo. It's gonna get better.
Having a garage sale in the rain today. Monsoon like rain. I just want this stuff out of my house.
I was bad last night and ate a piece of pizza and garlic bread. Then this AM I had cereal. So much for no carbs. But I did stick to low fat so I'll figure I'm 50% good, 50% bad.
-
Hey "sis". Good luck with the garage sale today, and the get together tonight. I am going to "Garden Fest" and will be in the beautiful outdoors today. The sky was so clear and blue yesterday, and today is supposed to be more of the same.
We were setting up for today's activity, last night, so dinner was eaten out. Mexican food, chili relleno, enchilada and rice. And of course guacamole and a Margarita. I have got to get DH on board with me, because it is almost like he is sabotaging m!
-
Hi, guys! I lost another 1.5 pounds! Weighed this morning (after I went to the bathroom, ha ha!!!!).
Meece--can you put me down for 175.5?
THANKS!
-
Meece that mexican food sounds soooo good!!! and the marguerita to boot... yummy!!! how I would love one MMMM!!!! Yep, sounds like you need to get DH on board with you :=) I couldn't live at your house I would gain 10lb listening to you talk about food.
-
Hey back at ya 'Sis" Garage sale stunk. Rained like hell. Gonna try again next week and then give the stuff away. Ate alot but all healthy stuff except the pizza. Back to behaving again this week.
Good Luck ladies.;')
-
I rode 2.5 miles on my stationary bike today. Maybe if I do it every day, I can burn some weight off.
-
I sinned today.
Something was wrong with my neighbors telephone, went upstairs, they were having lunch.
A big tray of eggplant Parmesan and Italian bread.
I cut a small piece of bread, that wasn't enough i made another sandwich.
It was absolutely delicious.
-
I had a tuna fish sandwich. Probably not too bad except it had a lot of mayo on it. (I didn't make it).
-
Good: smoothie, Kashi wheat cereal for breakfast. Dinner was baked chicken strips, homemade so just seasonings, no batter coating, plus, fresh from my garden, asparagus. That was all well & good, but,
SIN ALERT: for lunch I had a whole pack of cinnamon Ritz crackers. What was I thinking?!? Just could not stop eating them. Didn't have any broccoli, fruit, nothing good.
Need to do better.
-
Turkey Pattie with low fat cheese and a huge plate of broccoli.
Garden fresh asparagus!!!! Oh my, that sounds so yummy. Still drinking my asparagus juice in the morning. Added a nice bit of Cayenne pepper as suggested earlier to increase metabolism.
Good eats to you all today.
-
Bad yesterday my pail of Chicago style popcorn came in I had it for unch, today was better, celery w/PB, apple, bean soup.
-
I had a subway sandwich, with lots of vegies, but meat and cheese as well. I need to stop meeting DH for lunch. Nothing would be better than this!
-
Gonna try and post a picture.
DH and me at Braves game.
I look like a turtle, but pretty good pic. of DH.
-
PauldingMom ~ You in NO WAY look like a turtle!!!! It is a GREAT picture, thank you for sharing. You both look SO happy!
I still cannot figure out how to post a picture. Did you send it from photobucket? I read somewhere that is what you have to do. Maybe you could share, you could even PM me if you'd like. I am so at a loss of how to do that. It's probably very easy.
Oh, when you do your asparagus juice, do you add any water or just use the liquid that is in the can along with the asparagus? I bought a can, but haven't tried it yet.
More fresh asparagus tonight along with Piccata Chicken.
{{hugs}}
-
I used to eat canned asparagus, but to me it tastes nothing like the fresh "real" asparagus. Mmm chicken picata and asparagus!
-
After looking for it in the veggie-heart, I realized one of my favorites (avocado) is a fruit. Kind of on the caloric side, but oh-so-nutritious and yummy. I like to make a sandwich with avocado slices in between sprouted grain bread or a seedy sunflower bread that has been lightly toasted. Now I'll have to think of that as a fruit sandwich.
Hey! Wait a minute...tomatoes and eggplant are on there and they are fruits.
-
Haven't you ever heard of avocados being called "wolf-pears" or "alligator pears"? That indicates the fruit side. Corn, Cucumbers, Pumpkins and Peas are also fruits. Go figure!!
-
I bought this beautiful avocado 2 days ago.
It dissapeared. i looked everywhere behind the microwave, the freezer all the weird places.
Finally i came to the conclusion that the girl didnt pack my avocado.
Oh I love them. I used to scoop eat them before start dieting and very often.
Elimar I never thought of making a sandwich.
-
Oh, the best sandwich, croissant with herb nuefchatel cheese spread lightly, alfalfa sprouts and avacado.
-
That is not considered E-LAB
but delicious. I never tried nuefchatel cheese.
Have to google it.
-
Oops, it is spelled neufchatel, Yummy!
-
Looks like Brie cheese's cousin.
-
I don't know it's relations, but I know I like it on an avocado and sprouts croissant!
-
I never eat canned asparagus, this is the first can I've ever bought in my life. I'd read about juicing it or to puree it & taking it by the Tbls. and thought I'd try it that way. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.
-
I just wondered about the "juice" in the can, which is most likely water with salt and preservatives. I need to tend my asparagus bed so I can harvest some more.
-
How I post pictures: First I pull up my picture on Snapfish or I guess you can use Photobucket. Then I put the cursor over the pick and right click. A little window will pop up and you click on Copy photos URL. Then you come back here and click on the little picture of the tree next to the smiley face. Paste the URL there and whammo!!! Youmay have to adjust the size. In my first attempt my pores on my face looked like swimming holes!
As for asparagus. I use one can to one large can of tomato juice. I use the juice in the asparagus can. I'm sure it has way to much salt bu then again so does the tomato juice. If I'm eating asparagus that day I skip the juice. I also add a little H2O and some cayenne pepper. Does it help prevent B.C. I don't know but I figure it sure can't hurt and it's very filling, so I eat less.
I also eat blueberries almost every day. Usually in a smoothie I make with low Carb sugar free yogurt and ice.
-
PauldingMom ~ Thank you so much for the info on posting pictures. I will try that.
I eat blueberries almost everyday as well in a smoothie. Yummy!
-
What does that neufchatel cheese taste like Meece? I love all kinds of cheese... can you describe it? I love avocados to, yummy!!! My favs.
-
I'm starting to dislike Fridays! My scale must be broken because it's reading 165 this morning. I had clothes on but just shorts and tee shirt. Okay, I ate pizza twice this week because we were in a bind and needed something quick. No excuses. I've got a big trip coming up and I don't want to be this large. Ugh!!! I need to refocus, get serious. I only missed one day of heavy walking, but I may need to increase my distance. I guess being sick Tuesday didn't help.
Pep Talk Needed ASAP!!!
