Water intake - 7 points
Weight down 1.2 to 187 - 2 points
New E-lab low - 1 point
Exercise - 8 points
Extra Credit - 1 point - Ignored the brownies at work, took my lunch instead of buying their wonderful chicken quesadillas!
Total points for this week - 22
I learned today that Costco, and some other stores here, carry flavored Greek yogarts. They are high in protein, natural, no aspertame. Definitely want to try some of these.
-
I used to make my own yogurt.
I wonder why I stopped it
Thanks 2Hands4me I might start doing it again.
I consume a lot of yogurt.
-
Roadrunner checking in at my usual middle of the night - still Friday to me.
3 pts for Friday check-in
7 pts for water - haven't had any problem sucking it down this week
3 pts for exercise - gym once and raking leaves once
no weight to report - didn't make it to the gym, no scales at home. I'll check it tomorrow.

O2b, good luck on your Power Trip. You will get plenty of exercise. Magic Mt. is built on a hill, and there is a lot of uphill walking.
Congrats to those who hit thier lows this week. To those who did not, don't dispair you can pick yourself up and keep going. It has been a long road these past twelve months, and I have only lost about 11 lbs. But I have been able to keep going down or maintaining. That feels good, and I know I am healthier for it. Acknowledge your accomplishments and focus on the long term goal.
-
Ditto what Meece said. Dec 2009 I was 203 lbs and now hovering around the 25 lb loss mark so over time it will come off. Look at me, I recovered from the 2 lb carrot cake I ate this week. Going out now for a walk before heading into NY to have lunch with prodigal DS!
Enjoy your Saturday my friends.

Checking in for the Roadrunners. had a really bad day at work yesterday, never thought about getting on the computer, so I'm checking in late.
water intake = 6 points
exercise 134 minutes = 4.5 points
weight same = 1 point
sorry, runners, I'll make sure to check in on time next week.
-
NM sorry to hear you had a bad day at work. Not sure what you do but any bad day at work is not fun.... Hope you're off today and able to do what you need for yourself. Congrads on keeping your weight the same. Sometimes when work is stressful I gain.
-
Today I did some good things.
PF cookies were Buy one get one free. I touched it, smelled it but i put it right back.
I wanted so bad to have some Gorgonzola cheese. As I was almost picking a small piece I thought of my E-LAB sisters and put it back.
I thought I should share this with you.
Im giving myself an extra point next week.
Only bought gold fish to snack.

Sheila!!!!
Way to go!!!!
Great choices!!!!!!
I'm so proud of you!!!!!!!
You, too, NativeMainer!
As samsue already said, maintaining -- even in the midst of stress, or especially in the midst of it, seems reason to rejoice to me.
We all are to be congratulated for being in a program. Results will vary, week by week, but continually stacking good choices one on top of another will result in a cord of wood over time.
I believe that the ten pounds I have lost in the year with ELAB are the tough ones. I give the lab all the credit in the world for giving me the support to continually make better choices.
YEAH!!!!!
Several hitting their all-time low this week. LOVE hearing that news & celebrate for each individual making that announcement.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Hello little birdies! I am checking in Team Hummingbirds a few days late because I was on vacation in Hawaii. The weather was awesome. I had a great time. Came home today with temperatures in the upper 20's. I am freezing right now. The only points that I may be able to record is for exercise. I did a lot of walkiing especially on the beach but really can't measure the time. Maybe 3 pts. for exercise? I usually weigh myself everyday but am afraid to get on the scale. I think I will wait until the end of the week to do that. I wouldn't be surprised if I gained five pounds on this trip. Between the mai-tais (they were really, really good) and all the eating out I am afraid to see the damage. I am going to work very hard at being good this week and hope to be able to report not too bad results. I have to stay motivated.
-
don23, Good for you that you let yourself enjoy the food (and beverage!) on vacation. And what a great way to help work it off with walks on the beach! Sounds Wonderful
-
Oh dear, I fear I've been a vewy bad influence in posting my diet the other day!!! My favorite items were the wine and the ice cream. But after my awful weigh in on Friday, I will be foregoing that diet
I'll get a total for the Rockin' Robins in a while Meece. I didn't get on yesterday, I had lunch with some Michigan BCO friends. It was a very nice day. Val Jean - you have to join us next time!

I'm so excited for you Debbie! A new low - fantastic! I say YES to that!
Roadrunners, I'm trying, I'm trying! I'm currently down from my new high last week - notice that I didn't even post the weight the last couple of weeks. Sigh. I am not trying to gain weight, dang it! But I did finally get to work out some this week, so my totals will be better this Friday, if I can just stay in one piece.
Lately, it's a vicious cycle - I get discouraged, so I eat to make myself feel better, which makes me more discouraged. To explain, I have a connective tissue disorder, which causes my joints to have excessive movement - I dislocate, sprain, tear, get bone spurs, pinched nerves, etc - since childhood. I was diagnosed with arthritis in my back at 25. I also have asthma and chronic lung problems and a techy heart valve. So, after getting over pneumonia, I have been dealing with a bone spur and torn tendon in my elbow - that's been healing up with PT help, and then during an extremely rare intimate session with my partner, I managed to agitate my lower back to the point it is painful to stand or walk. That is finally fading a week + later but still a problem. As I get older, it seems that I get over one thing to just face another. It is very depressing. I know that there are people out there in worse pain, with bigger problems, but chronic pain and constant medical bills are getting me down. It's hard to focus on losing weight, but careful weight training is one of the few "cures" for my problem - it helps, anyway. So this group helps me in that I am motivated to keep trying even when I am discouraged and depressed - thanks. Now if I can just keep from "feeding" my discouraged self, I will have a better chance. Any advice is appreciated.
-
bookart...i know what you are saying motivation is there but your brain telling you otherwise.
I was stuck there for 4 weeks. Today its day 4 finally my brain is reprogrammed and not eating as much especially at late hours.
I even have a bag of gold fish that its not opened since Saturday.
Sorry about all the issues you are having.
Are you drinking your water/
That really feels you up. I drink close to half a gallon a day.
Its a daily struggle
Good Night♥
-
Bookart, I'm also so sorry about the issues you're having - That really sucks! This group helps me when I get down too - everyone helps me get back on the straight and narrow!
Yeah Sheila on not opening the bag of gold fish!!!!
Faith - as a fellow team captain I say you get your 3 points for posting early. Nothing anyone can do if we won't be at a scale on our weigh in day. Enjoy this trip!
-
just getting in on time for tomorrow!!!
-
{{Elaine}} I wish I had an answer for you, just love yourself and give yourself a break. And try not to have fattening snacks around the house!
A long time ago I read a book called, "Fat is a Feminist Issue." The author is Susie Orbach. It was published in the 70's but it's on Amazon so it's still out there.
It had a lot of common-sense advice and was thought-provoking to boot. The most helpful thing I remember is: don't go on a diet, go on a live-it. When you feel the physical sensation of hunger, listen to your body and eat what you want. Stop eating when you're not hungry anymore, NOT when you're full. A side benefit is you learn to recognize and meet your own needs and not beat yourself up in the process.
Geez that's good advice, maybe I should take it myself LOL! {{hugs}} to all
(edit to wish Ainm a happy St. Patrick's Day!)
-
Ainm, I'll be wearing the green tomorrow!

I remember that book, badger - I'll have to see if I can get a copy. I haven't read it, yet. I'm doing better this week.
I have to remember my green tomorrow, Ainm! One side of my family moved to the American colonies (settled Rutland MA) from Ireland in 1725 or so. A lot of other bloodlines by now, but a wee bit of me is Irish!
-
suzwes....Gold fish still not opened. i love your happy image of dancing. LOL
And today I was in the ER for 6 hours with my father starving and didnt buy anything from the junk machine. Maybe an extra 1/2 point. Im pushing it now....LOL

Good Night E-LABERS.
♥

Ainm...The Captain has spoken...
Have a wonderful day
♥
-
Tomorrow's our day - not looking forward to it. Tried to be good this week but don't feel I've made any progress.
Bookart - don't worry yourself as you are not letting your team down at all. You take care of yourself because any movement at all (typing on the keyboard is movement!) is helping you. So sorry for what you have been going through. Your issues are no less then others; just a different type of challenge. HUGS.
-
Does wrestling with temptation count as exercise? I could really up my points this week!
-
Thanks for letting me have a new ELAB, even if it wasn't measured on a gen-u-ine Friday report day. I have behaved myself on this road trip.
No dessert.
Salad tonight for dinner.
Standing on my feet for 10 hours straight is my 'exercise' today.
Best to my Labsters tomorrow as you greet the scale.
