I'll have to remember your reasoning when I step on the scale today, Patoo.
-
I hear you Meece,
It is true that I don't enjoy exercising. Never did. I do it cause I have to.
Add to it that I work 190 hours a week, travel abroad(work) once every two months, I am a mom to an 8 year old and I want to spend time with her, want to spend time with DH as well, have friends - this means exercise gets far away in my list.
I know I can only blame myself here. It is still frustrating. Before chemo and tamoxy, I could exercise less and loose weight.
I'm venting here. Want to have it all...
Feel free to kick my behind for whining.
-
Perhaps you can think of some sort of exercise that you can do as a family, or at least with your 8 year old. Take up tennis?

Hummingbird checking in
Weight = 0 points
Water = 7 points
Exercise = ummmm 2 points
Friday check-in = 3 points
I feel like I am letting everyone down with my lack of exercise
Just cannot seem to find time to do much
-
Exercise is probably the hardest part. I have been dealing with my mom in the hospital for the past two and a hlaf weeks, and she is now home recouperating. Still means over an hourin the car each day, and a sedantary time at her house.
-
O2 - You are not letting any one down.It is really hard to make the time for it. especially if you don't realy like it.
Meece - I try to find things to do with my family. It is hard because my DH has problems in both knees (real disability), so the only thing we can do together is cycling. I only learnt to ride a bike last year and I am not very good at it. We still went biking last Saturday and it was nice for an hour. I counted it as 30 minutes of exercise because I didn't realy feel it as a workout. It was an easy ride.
I thought about tennis, and already have the number of an instructor. Will call him next week. I can do that with DD.

Captain Humming, checking in.
Friday check-in = 3 points
Weight = 0 points (137.2)
Dag-gum-bit. I went to Tampa to have an overnight slumber party with a friend on Wednesday afternoon..... she took me to Chinese buffet Wed night and soup/salad buffet for lunch on Thurs.
I had just taken a photograph of my scale Wed morning -- hitting a new all-time ELAB low that morning, but couldn't keep it through buffet season. Snap.
I guess the message to myself, is that I can maintain/lose when we eat at home.... eating out is treacherous to the 'bottom' line. LOL. Get it.
I'm still delighted to be below 140 so I take the little ups & downs in stride as I have opportunity to be out & about with friends.
Water = 7 points
Exercise -= 19 points
Extra credit = one point: at the Chinese buffet I chose not to have any of the desserts served. I knew that I'd already exceeded the calories needed to maintain my ELAB low.... but I made a concientous choice not to go whole hog.
Total points = 30 points for the HUMMERS!!
-
I love Suzwes diet maybe thats my problem.
-
I will be honored to follow Suz Diet forever

Checking in for the Roadrunners. It is a bit better this week.\
Friday check-in - 3 points
Weight - down over a pound to 188 - 2 points
Water - 7 points
Exercise - 11 points for 5 1/2 hours.
This week I will be heading south for spring break, and I know that I'll be spending some time in an old fashioned soda shoppe with the best milk shakes. Hopefully having the time to exercise will help offset some of those calories.
