I'm also thinking about you Kate

-
KateDa, I can relate with what you say about London. I've never been there but I was born and raised in NY and when I go in now, which is as little as possible, I feel the same. It's amazing the people on the streets of NY. Any time, day or night, the streets are teeming with people. I used to enjoy it but I guess I'm getting too old now. I feel like I'm moving in slow motion when I'm there. I used to have no problems driving there but now I just close my eyes and step on the gas pedal (just kidding!) It is quite an experience, really, but one I've "experienced" enough.
-
Hi everyone
I'm back to school, but unfortunately things get worse than ever right now.
-
What's going on Kate?
-
How are things worse....can we help?
Kate...don't forget about the PM that sweatyspice sent you with the resources in the UK that might be of help to you.
Sending you a big hug.
-
Nothing's going on I am just feeling extremly low and kinda depressed too.
I don't know why it is so alone here, it is unfair i have to be here.
I went to Childline Website which Sweetyspice gave mem they had chatroom there but i think it's too busy cuz i have been waiting for a councellor for over an hour now.
-
Hi Kate
Yes, you're absolutely right that it's unfair that you're 'here'.....losing your Mom at your age, just isn't fair. I wish you didn't feel so alone, but I'm very relieved to hear that you've contacted the Childline Website. Kate I just checked out their website and see that they also have a phone # listed.....would you consider calling?
-
I'm glad you contacted them too. Why not try calling?
-
Kate Da -
Have you tried reaching the counsellors at the other links I sent?
Here: http://www.rd4u.org.uk/
Or here: http://www.crusebereavementcare.org.uk/
Maybe you'll have better luck reaching someone at one of those. Keep trying, don't give up!
(((((Hugs)))))

Hi Kate...just checking in to see how're doing. Please drop us a line when you have a minute.

Hi,
I sent an e-mail to that rd4u and they never respond.
and I finally got to talk to someone on Childline today, but when i said to her that i'm studying abroad she said Childline can only telk to people in England and sorry she has to end the chat.
So i told her that I am now living in England, she ended it anyway.
-
that's a bunch of carp
maybe there are some english Gals you can call here.
What's the temperature there? (it's 20 in Kansas and the middle of the afternoon)
-
Kate, Have you tried any of the sites I sent you in a PM?
I can't believe they would not talk to you. I would call them back and tell them that you live where ever they want you to live!! Unbelievable!
Are things getting any better this week? I'm sure it's a crazy busy week after being on vacation!
Linda
-
Hi,
yes Linda, I have tried. Thank you.
Maybe it was only that counsellor, seems like she didn't know what to talk. These people are volunteers, maybe it's very good enough of them spending their time talking to people

-
It is very nice of them to spend their time volunteering. You obviously mature enough to realize that. You should try again some time.
-
Hi Kate
I'm happy to hear you've read some information about resources and tried to reach out....I'm so sorry that the Childline person ended your chat. Maybe she misunderstood and didn't realize that you are in the UK? Even so, she shouldn't have ended the coversation without offering you alternate resources. I hope you have better luck next time....please try again.
Nice to see your posts Kate. When I log on to this website, this thread is the first one I check out to see if you've posted...keep in touch.

By the way, when do you go home again? I assume you have a semester system....do you go back home in the spring or summer or will you remain in the UK?

HEY KATE, ACTUALLY I HATED LONDON AND FOUND IT QUITE DEPRESSING. I WENT TO ARUNDEL AND WANDERED THRU THE MOST AMAZING CASTLE. MET THE DUKE OF ARUNDEL AND I LOVE HISTORY SO IT WAS SO PROFOUND TO SEE GENERATIONS OF HIS FAMILY IN THIS CASTLE THAT HAS BEEN THERE FOR LIKE 800 YEARS. I GOT TO SEE THE TINY BED MADE FOR QUEEN VICTORIA AS SHE WAS APPARENTLY REALLY QUITE A TINY WOMAN. THE BED LOOKED LIKE A DOLL BED ON STILTS! I LOVED THE FAMILY'S PERSONAL CHAPEL AND COULD HAVE STAYED THERE ALL DAY. ALSO GOT TO SEE THE 'TOWER' WHERE VARIOUS NOBELS WERE KEPT. MY LORD IT WAS SO CRAMPED AND HAD ONE OPEN WINDOW IN IT-VERY COLD TOO! THE TOWN WAS WONDERFUL WITH TONS OF ANTIQUE SHOPS-LIKE EVERYTHING IS AN ANTIQUE IN THE UK. HOVE IS A LOVELY LITTLE TOWN-I JUST COULD NOT TAKE THE BUSTLE OF A HUGE CITY, EVEN IN THE UK. KEEP ON TRUCKIN' MYDEAR, SV
