Hopefully it's a good day for others as well.
-
I can probably make the 5th, but I'm wondering about those with younger children...?
Any days are fine for me for lunch - except Thursdays - my treatment day.
Sugar77 - sorry to hear about your experience at the Erin Mills Pickelbarrel - I had lunch there about a month ago and it was good! Just goes to show how incosistent these places can be. I've had good meals at Milestones and bad ones. Let us know how your simulation goes over, on the other thread - I'd like to know what to expect when my turn comes.
-
Easter Monday works for me.
-
Just in case - don't wait for us. I can't predict what will happen tomorrow, thinking a month ahead is something I can't do right now.
-
Easter Monday works for me, too. I will be having radiation at Credit Valley Hospital at 10:00 a.m. so I should be able to get to Yorkdale for noon. Shall we set that date?
Luah, I'll post about my simulation on the other thread shortly. Regarding Pickle Barrel, ironically I had the absolute best lunch there two weeks ago at Vaughan Mills. The fact that it was so good, what was prompted me to suggest our family go to the location close to home. I ordered the exact same thing as I had at Vaughan Mills and it was horrible!
Leprechaun - I totally understand. Once we get the numbers on how many are attending, we'll add a couple of extra to the reservation in the event you can attend after all.
-
That sounds good to me. Count me in.
-
I'll have to pass on that date--think I'll be in Indiana somewhere at lunch time on the 5th, getting back home that night. It's spring break for my son at university in the US, so we're going down to visit my in-laws in Missouri. Perhaps we can plan a picnic or something in the summer. Have great time together, if that's the date that works best for the most.

Is April 5 Easter Monday? Either way I can make lunch.
-
Yes, it's Easter Monday but is not an official stat holiday. Many busineses are open but schools are closed. Looks like this is a good date for many of us.

I'm in for Easter Monday. Yorkdale is a good location. Which restaurant?
-
It will probably be OK for me, but I can't commit until closer to the date.
-
I think we should go to Pickle Barrel because they have a very broad menu with stuff in all price ranges. I say this even though I had the bad experience at Erin Mills location because I've had so many absolutely wonderful meals at other locations. Thoughts...agreed?

agreed - lunch at the Pickle Barrel at Yorkdale Easter Monday, April 5.
-
This is great. Looks like there will be a good turnout. Once I have a better idea of numbers, I'll make a reservation and post final details.
Sherri

thanks for you work sugar.
-
Sherri -- add me to the roster! Adding my thanks for rounding us all up.....
Linda in Niagara
-
Please put me and Olga in the "tentative" list... Thanks!
-
I'll be there ... .count me in.
-
I'll be there also. Thanks Sherri for organizing this.
-
Can someone let Beesie and Dream know? I'd love to meet them both.
-
Yorkdale Pickel Barrel, Easter Monday (isnt that Monday April 5?)
-
Konakat and Sharon50, have fold out couch for your use if you want to come, and leave next day. No charge, comes with incredible breakfast.
-
If it's not too late. Can you count me in?????
-
Waaaaaah. I'm in Boston that weekend for my birthday. Next one I'll be there...
-
Elizabeth, how about celebrating your birthday in Toronto with us and having a second celebration in Boston the following weekend. You can't have too much birthday cake and so many of us would like to meet you in person. Helen
-
I think my b/f is arranging a party for Saturday. I did check google maps for driving from Boston to TO and it's 10 hours!! Yikes! I'm percolating on it...
-
Okay, I have a solution. Why don't you get your b/f to meet you in Niagara Falls for a romantic getaway...then you can swing by Toronto on the way back to Ottawa. It would be so great to have you come to the lunch.
Sherri
-
Sherri -- that sounds like a wonderful plan but I can't get my b/f budge out of the city, let alone the state! Wish I could though...
