Do we have a consensus for April 17th for lunch? Once we pin down the date, we can decide on the location: either at Pickle Barrel (Yorkdale) or Glow (Don Mills/Lawrence).
Can everyone who wants to come, respond to this thread so we can confirm the date? Also, can you put your location preference (see above).
Thanks, Sherri

17th works for me.
-
On April 16th I'm scheduled to have my left breast tissue expander removed and another one put in plus a right breast mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. So, I'm going to go out on a limb and say . . .nope, not available on the 17th.
I'd make a wonderful first impression . . . flying high on pain meds, asking someone to feed me since both my arms will be a sore and let's not forget being completely clueless from being hung over from the anethesia.
-
I can't do the 17th either. I go with friends to theatre that afternoon.
-
Sorry, I'll have to pass this one up -- weekends do not work for me. However, if any of you want to carpool and would consider coming to Niagara-on-the-Lake for lunch later on in April or May, I'd sure love to have you here at my home!
Hugs to all, Linda
-
I'm good for through the week....
-
I'm good through the week at dinner but not lunch as I'm doing rads in April.
-
Hrf - Your theatre plans sound a lot more appealing than my plans for that weekend.
-
I'm flexible but it sounds like the 17th sucks for some. Maybe everyone should post all the dates they can't together for April (and perhaps May?). Then we can figure out which is best. I'll go first -- anything's fine with me except April 2nd weekend.
-
I'm probably good with just about any time, I'm sort of semi-retired.
-
Weekend lunch from April 17 onwards is fine for me.
Or any evening except Friday during the week. (I can probably do lunch too, either on a Monday or Wednesday).
Either location is fine as I live nearby and will drive, but I do think the Yorkdale one is better for its TTC access.
-
any time but the weekend of April 10/11 is good for me
-
I'm available any time weekend of April 10/11, April 17/18, or May 1/2 (I'm not available April 24/25)]
I agree with Luah that Yorkdale is probably better. Once we decide on a date, I'll go there ahead of time to see what restaurant would work best (...it's an excuse for me to go to Crate & Barrel shopping!!)
-
Im flexible.... give me a date time and address and I can be there.... 24th is my b-day.
-
As for Niagara on the Lake... if some one is going.... would love to car pool.... I dont drive... seems you have to PASS the test for that... hahahah.
-
Dreamweaver - my birthday is on the 26th, which is why I'm not available the w/e of the 24/25 as I'm hoping perhaps my DH will be planing a birthday overnight getaway.
-
May 15 is a definite NONO
-
I am pretty flexible too. I just need enough time to book off of work before the next month's schedule is done.
-
Hi, I just wanted to follow up so we can pick a date for the GTA get together. Could everyone who is planning on attending, list the dates you are available? Some have already posted their availability but not everyone who expressed an interest has posted their availability.
BTW - I had the absolute worst meal of my life last Friday at Pickle Barrel at Erin Mills in Missisauga. In fact, I complained to the manager and then wrote a letter to their head office. I'm sure the Yorkdale location is fine but I'd be nervous to recommend it after our horrible meal. Maybe one of the other restaurants at Yorkdale would be a better choice, e.g., Milestones, Rainforest Cafe, Casey's.

Yorkdale is fine for me.
I will have enough energy to go to lunch on a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. Nights are just too tough for me to stay up for. Saturdays and Sundays are my best selling days with the most appointments so it's hard for me to leave.
We will be away the week of May 24.
-
Thanks Barbe. What are you selling? For some reason I thought you were a cop.
Sherri

I was an Auxiliary Cop for Toronto for 7 years!
-
Now I sell appliances and furniture at The Brick in Vaughan in a special Commercial Sales department. We upgrade people who buy houses and get packages.
-
Vaughan Mills or Weston/HWY-7?
-
I don't really have a preference for weekday or weekend. I'm not available any Thursday in April or May, and I have my last 2 Herceptin treatments at NYGH on April 9th and 30th--at least I think the one scheduled for Good Friday (2nd) will be pushed back a week. I always feel tired on treatment days, but I could do dinner that day if it was the only day which worked for everyone. And a high school friend who I haven't seen in several years is buying me a train ticket to Stittsville (near Ottawa) to visit her for a few days, which will really be a treat, so April 20 - 23 is out for me. Also, Friday April 30th there's a concert at my daughter's school that evening--I'll celebrate my last treatment. Yeah! Other than these dates, I can do either lunch or dinner any day.
Looking forward to meeting you all. Even though I haven't posted a lot, I've read a bunch and am so grateful for these boards.

Hi Sugar and Company,
I would like to join you'all. I am pretty flexible and don't have anything that can't be rescheduled.
-
Ooops! Just remembered there's a Project Fair with the homeschool group on Saturday, April 20th, so I would only be free for dinner that day.
-
hi there
i would be interested if there are others.. wouldnt a picnic in a park be nice to plan in the summertime.. with a rain date plan.. i think we need time to just chill together..
-
The Pickle Barrel at Yorkdale is good but some of the others are inconsistent. I'm ok with any restaurant and Yorkdale is easy to get to. I am back at work so lunch is out during the week. I know some folks can't do evenings and others can't do weekends. Monday, April 5 is a school holiday ... but generally it's a work day .....I could do a lunch on Monday, April 5. Would that work for others?
-
That would work for me hrf as we'll be dead at work! (Hwy 7 and Hwy 400)
