Remz!
-
Yea Remz!
-
Way to go, remz! Waving to the single-handed Segway riders. Ruth, love the yellow blouse.
My exercise yesterday was biking to my onc's office, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The good news is that my lungs and liver look fine. Took a walk in the woods with DD today.
-
Really getting a workout today. Been up and down on a step stool changing the Spring/Summer curtains over to my Fall/Winter ones.
-
WTG remz! Yay for good news HeidiHill!
Nice day here, got in a 30-min walk plus some Garden & Sculpt.
-
Yea Heidi!
I am so crazily trying to catch up that I gave myself permission to totally skip any formal exercise today. I did climb up and down on a step ladder while touching up crown molding, did stretches in the form of standing in the sink and reaching my arm out as far a possible to clean the outside of the kitchen window (both of which also involve balancing), and other things of that nature.
-
Sounds like San Antonio was a great time. luv the pixs. My exercise is somewhat derailed at the moment, My old L5/S1 back injury is shooting pain down my leg, I'm trying to keep up with walking but have not been on the treadmill this week. Due to work schedule, I can't see my Ortho until 11/21 so just trying to keep it from getting worse. I really need to get back to swimming, but may have to get my nerves abated first, because epidurals are no longer working.

Heidi:What fabulous news!!!
Scottie: So sorry about the return of your pain. Hoping you get relief before 11/21.
Ruth: Sounds like you're working in your kitchen.
Another lovely day. Walked this afternoon. We grilled out a delicious steak supper.
-
thanks for the warm welcome, all! Today was the closest I've felt to normal in a year! Did my 30 mins on the treadmill at 3.5 mph. I haven't been able to go that fast due to heart palps but none today! Then I cleaned the house and did some shopping, I'm tired tonight but a very good tired!👍
-
No formal plans to workout today, still have the rest of the curtains to change over and time to bring down my winter wardrobe
-
Went shopping for a new outfit yesterday; managed to get in about two miles walking around the mall :-)
-
it is soooo foggy out. I wanted to walk by now but think I'll wait a bit.
-
Exercise today was chasing panda photos at our zoo. Our Meihem Twins are leaving for China on 11/3. The new baby twins won't be on display for a couple more months although they are adorable in photos from the zoo.

Colder weather curtains are up and clothes are being changed over. Taking a break to watch the first half of the Pats/Bills game. Will go back to work during halftime and then back to watch the second half. Hope to be done before the Packers game later.
-
M0mmyof2 - You change your curtains with the season? That is so logical. & for some reason funny, as it sounds like it could turn into something from an I Love Lucy episode. I don't have curtains any longer, or any window coverings, as we live out in the middle of a big meadow. No neighbors or passersby . . . .
Hello Myraknits! (waving) I like to knit, too. I'm not so much for following patterns; I'd rather just make things up on my own.
Housecleaning is my exercise today. First time since my latest bout with cancer that I've been feeling energetic enough to really have at it. I love a clean house; makes me feel less crazy and also more creative.
I think I need to set some exercise goals or write an exercise plan. Otherwise, I tend to do it last, instead of first. Fundamentally, I like to laze around. Read. Write letters. Watch something funny. Pet the cat. But once I get moving, I do feel better.
-
Blinkie- I have curtains for spring/summer and ones for fall/winter. Got all my clothes down and I have a start on them at least
-
Scottie - i've had the S5/L1 thing too with sciatica pain down the back of both legs. Struggled with it for a year and then it magically resolved itself about a month before my BC diagnosis. I feel for you!
No targeted workout yesterday or today. Helped DS and DDIL with yard work yesterday and brought grandpuppy home for a 3-week visit while the kids go on a late honeymoon. Will definitely get in some walk/runs with little Zoey.
-
I spent too much time watching baseball this week in the evenings so I am behind on my weekly total,.Oh well. Yesterday was a balmy 69 so I went to the lake to walk-46 minutes. Today its more fall-like and cloudy. DH and I walked 30 minutes and then I just wanted to come inside.
-
Mr. Milkbones and I wish all of you beautiful ladies an early Happy Halloween!
-
Wonderland! That's brilliant!!
-
Wonderland, I asked you specifically not to post a picture of how I looked/felt after San Antonio!
Hi all, haven't posted on BCo in a long time though I've browsed a little. I am still wiped out after SA. I was first one of our group home Thursday but then errands before a party Friday night, subbed a WATP 5-miler walk Saturday morning and a costume dance tonight. Pads of my feet are screaming PATOO SIT DOWN!!! Will try and get in some swimming tomorrow and then looking forward to a massage I have scheduled for Tuesday morning (mammo scheduled Tuesday afternoon).
Need to get back to posting everyday so I have some accountability and get my next 10 lbs. off.
Night sculpted friends.
-
I am tired too, patoo (as are my feet!). I took one more day off from formal exercise (I PROMISE to get back on track tomorrow). I did spend most of the day cleaning house. Tomorrow I am starting a 6 week part-time subbing job. One of my friends is doing radiation (which requires driving to a larger city 100 miles away & back again). He wants to teach mornings, so I will go in at noon & can switch over to whole days if he needs me to. I will have two 7th grade American History classes (my favorite subject), and one large, creepy study hall.....the only part I am not looking forward to!
-
it was great weather for my 5k race today. 65 and sunny! I ran the whole thing without stopping and I went from a 14 min/mile pace at my race on Oct 1st to a 12 min/mile pace today. This course had no hills but still pretty psyched about that time. I have not been running at all since October 1st but my other exercise is definitely paying off.
Heidi- great news!
Scottie-10/21 seems like a long time to wait; hope you find relief before that.
-
Scottie, I hope you are a cancellation list; maybe you could get in earlier.
Congratulations, Ginger!
-
Great work Ginger. Ruthbru and I pretended to be runners on a 5K tour of San Antonio. Sweetandspecial did well; I barely kept up with ruthbru and kept looking around for badger and hbcheryl who were smart and walked the tour!
-
Yes, I found that if my choices are to run or be left behind in an unfamiliar city of 1.4 million people.........I can run (enough to keep the rear end of the last person in sight anyway......).
-
Wornderland, so eco00 spooky! Ginger, wow, quite a drop to a personal best? HeidiHill, super good news and got my boy home on term break for one more week; your girl home too? Myraknits, welcome and are you a consistent treadmiller(?) and nice to read you sense a return to feeling normal. Lucky teacher to have you in his pocket Ruth.
Have bought and added light hand weights to pink pilates and need to go copy exercises to teach this morning. It's sunny and clear unlike this weekend this past weekend that was foggy and cloud cover.
-
Whoa, Wonderland, so scarily creative! Ginger, great job! Scottie, hope you find relief soon. Maybe a trip to the spa is in order?
LB, we are back in school, actually since last week, but DD caught a bug with vomiting and fever. I can finally go to Body Jam tonight after 3 weeks or more.
From the people who brought us the fitness age calculator, here's a program I thought looked interesting as it combines both aerobic and strength training. I want to combine this with my dance workouts to make sure I'm moving all the parts that need to keep moving.

I was so proud of ruthbru and Patoo doing that 5K running tour! I did OK but then again I typically try really, really, really hard to NOT let people tell how miserable I am when I'm running! Thank GOD we had 18 informational stops along the way
. Didn't have my usual bandana headband so the liquid awesome was running quite freely into my eyes (as well as down my back, between my boobs, etc, etc, etc, basically from scalp to pinky toes). And then there's Patoo - who doesn't sweat! Seriously! (I think she might be from an alien planet). And it was awesome that the 2nd leader was more than willing to do a walking tour with Cheryl and badger. Two incredibly nice people helped make our day special!
Didn't get up early as planned this morning for c25k training so hurried home after work to walk the grandpup. Got in about 50 minutes with a few minutes of 'wunning' here and there.
Love to all!
-
POUND this morning, subbed this afternoon, & did Spooky Yoga tonight (orange lights, Harry Potter music, the pose's names were changed from 'cat' to 'black cat', 'frog' to 'toad' etc......very fun). I am now passing out candy (and unfortunately eating quite a bit myself.....I will have to bring the leftovers to school...bribe the kids into goodness!).
