Here's another one of those "may" articles:
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/BreastCancerCenter/walking-cut-breast-cancer-risk/story?id=20470442
If you have an hour a day for this, give it a shot. Some days I just feel like saying, "Get back to me when you actually know something." I'm having one of those days today. -
Eli, I strongly "resemble" that remarkI will have you know, that I AM just THAT special
-
momine...of course you are sunshine!!!
Are there really two hours still till 5:00???? (((Sigh))) -
Yes, Momine, your specialness goes without saying! -
That is more like it! -
Hey All,
Moderators goal is to help maintain and grow the wonderfully supportive community. Given the number of posts per day (averaging ~1300 ) we cannot respond to all the threads or posts. Inevitably there are things that are missed, including threads with good news and cancerversaries (ALL of which deserve big congratulations). When we post, it is not to single out a member, but rather reflects a post that we saw. We will try our best to do a better job. -
Thanks Mods...I don't envy your jobs at all. -
To all you lovely ladies with good news!!!!!!
-
Loral, I love your new avi! Wouldn't it be great if our grandchildren, or even our great-grandchildren, knew a world where that was true? Unfortunately, something else would probably take its place -
Momine ~ Wonderful to read your news about your clear scans!! Hallelujah!
{I must say this:
This is MY contribution to "maintain & grow the wonderfully supportive community" here on this thread.}
{Sorry, just had to say it. And if nobody gets it, then I just said it for myself.)
Again, Momine, we love you! HUGS!
ETA: I can't highlight what I want to because this page keeps coming up "error on page", so this post does not look the way I want. Don't want it all in one paragraph... oh, well.... -
Thanks, valjean. -
You really are ALL extremely special people. We admire your strength and courage, and the amazing support that you provide.
We are grateful and honored to be part of your journeys.
Wishing you a lovely, and rest-filled weekend! -
Here's some Hope....B.C. Therapy developed.... -
Momine so happy for your good news!
elimar I hope you are feeling better today!
Marlegal that was a wonderful story thanks for sharing
Here's hoping for a wonderful day for everyone!
I miss the smileys -
Wow, I'm offline a week and when I come back I didn't even notice the changes until I read your comment, Katlebbie. It looks so bare on the toolbar now. -
Loral, Seems like it would get chemo right to the target area, but anyone with a positive node (where the deadly little Elvises have left the building, so to speak) will probably still have to do old school chemo, won't they? I always thought ductal lavage sounded creepy, and this whole "injected through the nipple" also sounds like it might not be fun BUT it could turn out to be a good therapy option for a certain segment of B/C sisters. At least some will be spared the overall ravages of chemo.
Yes, we need a return of the smileys, for sure. -
O.K., looks like BCO had had some format upgrading and, once again, it's going to take a while to work the bugs out. It has wreaked some havoc with my opening entry at the top and I don't know if I should try and make adjustments or if things will return to normal on their own once the upgrade is complete. Everyone stay calm. Your seats can be used as floatation devices, or maybe it is your floats that can be used as seating devices? Either way... -
Eli, love the page topper right now (KFC and Chambord!) Balance...it's all about balanceHaving just heard that seat may be used as flotation device speech last week going to and from Vegas, it always makes me laugh - no one listens, and unless you're in the first two rows, you can't see squat!
Well, they may have taken away our smileys, but hopefully this will make all of us smile: -
Marlegal I like your smileys............(((SMILE))) -
Well good morning marlegal! Definitely smiling now -
Mar, It's perfectly fine if you use George as a flotation device. -
marlegal: those are some fine guys! Maye we can send them to LV next year with us because maybe they are the cure guys.....and all of us can take advantage in one spot. -
beatmon, I like the way you think! No surprise there of coursedo y'all know that beatmon and I got to meet in Vegas?
-
I'd be happy to float on the Bradley Cooper floatation device. -
LOL, Eph. -
I LOVE Chambord! -
Excuse me breaking in here, but we are looking to show your faces, names and quotes at our fundraising event in October (www.rockforbreastcancer.org), and would love your help. This event is one of our largest fundraisers of the year and we'll be joined by hundreds of generous donors.
Specifically, we will have two projector screens up during the event, and want to show the people attending the event YOUR faces--- the women of our community, the women who use and rely on BCO ! Having the opportunity to share your photos and quotes that night will reinforce to our donors, in a meaningful and personal way, just how vitally important their contributions are to our community.
For this, we are looking for people willing to share a photo of themselves (either alone or with family, friends, pets, other BCO members, etc.), allow us to use your first name, say where you are from (it can be from anywhere in the world!), and give us a quote on how important BCO is to you. We are looking to have at least 40 people and have (only) a few weeks to work on this.
If you are interested, could you please email Melissa at mjenkins@breastcancer.org, with your photo, first name, where you live, and your quote? Also, PM us if you have any questions!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us!!
Melissa -
luvmygoats, I don't know if you care to put your anonymity aside, but I think you should submit a pic WITH YOUR GOATS!
I don't even show my face on here, so this isn't for me. Mar, you could feature yourself with some of the Ta-Ta Sisters. Got any with Elvis impersonators? You face is well known with the Philly gang already, you being a spokesmodel and all.
Put your best face forward, all you Middies who decide to represent. -
Wow! How did I miss this thread? I hope you don't mind if I join in on the fun.
