-
Hey Laura, I'm not too sure if Susie got her ticket or not. I'm thinking it might have something to do with her secruity settings on her computer. What do you think?
-
Susie-
I am not sure which browser application your running (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla). All of these browser applications have a way to set what level of security you want for your computer. For example if your using IE then you would go to Tools>Internet Options>Security Tab to view the current setting on your computer. If your currently set to the highest security it will not allow the Komen Site to run several of the left side navigation and when you try to run the site to buy tickets it is going to give you issues. The ticketing site is actually for UNLV and is running a number of programs like Active-X which high security won't let you get very far. To fix this if you reduce your security settings to medium it will allow you into do what you need. Regarding the ticketing site, I looked and when you actually pay for your tickets it is driving you to an https-secured site.I hope that helps and doesn't confuse.
If it still doesn't work PM me or one of us who hasn't purchased tickets yet can buy two and you can catch us in Vegas so you don't loose the discount. -
I can't believe I'm going to miss this trip. You must all promise to take lots of pictures and share.
-
Susie,
Swine flu is here in my town and right now causing issues in the schools. I can not wait to get that vaccine! I got my flu shot last friday.
Teresa

Well they are postponing my herceptin treatment until next week because I am sick. I have been pretty sick for the last few days now. It has turned into bronchitis. :-( We have the Komen walk on Sunday and I'm just praying that I can make it through all of the 5k. Then I'm concerned about being healthy enough to go on our Vegas trip too. URGH! Unfortunately this will make my year long treatment last another week.. wah. OK I just had to share my pity party.

AWESOME TRACEY!!! AND GISELLA!! AND WHOEVER ELSE HAS BEEN HELPING WITH THE PLANNING!!!!!!
- SO do we wear our tata shirts on the plane when we arrive...or do we wait to wear them for the meet and greet?
- I think we definitely need to wear them for the paint the square event!!
- Also what time is the meet and greet on Friday??
- What day are we doing the group dinner? If we knew that then we can plan shows around that since I know all of us wouldn't want to miss out on the group dinner.
I know I have SO MANY questions.
It's getting SO CLOSE!!!!
I'M FINALLY FEELING BETTER!!!!! Thanks for all of the well wishes!!! The antibiotic kicked in this evening!! It was weird, just all of a sudden I felt better! I still have this nasty cough that is wearing me out!!! URGH!!!!
Anyway....more planning please...I JUST LOVE IT!!!!
-
Thanks Tracey ... buy one get one breakfast.. wahoooooo..:) thanks Gisella....:)... Stephine.. where are you?? Thank you for helping too!
-
Jazzy.. you must be a "high D" like me....LOL....
The meet and greet is 6:30 I think. It is posted a few pages back.
We do need to get our group Dinner figured out. It seems, so far.. like Sunday is the night... as Saturday night we have the PINK event... and some might be a Chippendale's.. and Teresa and her family will be at something else....
it will all come together...

-
I was wondering when we are going to wear the t-shirts also. Also thinking about how many hours we can wear them before they stink

Since Estepp is taking the 8 am to noon shift at Starbucks with a "sign" that everyone can see - then is it necessary to wear them on the plane or can we have fresh shirts to wear at the meet and greet? Of course if you are coming in at 5 pm then it wouldn't matter.
I am taking the noon to 4 pm shift at Starbucks at the airport - Estepp is going to hand over the sign to me. I am easy to recognize. My hair is only 1" long and I look like a cancer patient - short and overweight with a round face
I won't be hard to miss. Is anyone going to take a shift from 4 pm to 6 pm? or do the people arriving after 4 pm just go to the rooms and then go to the meet and greet at the hotel??
I don't mind hanging out at Starbucks but the sign needs to be able to sit on the table so that if nobody has arrived and I need to pee - I can leave Starbucks and head to the RR. I am a heavy coffee drinker but it goes through me really fast. I know that FirstMate is coming in at 1:30 pm. Is there anyone else coming in between noon and 1:30 PM?
-
I have a bad feeling that I may be missing the group dinner too. Since the Pink Square is Saturday night, sounds like dinner would be on sunday? I already bought tickets to a show : (
Teresa
-
TERESA.. you're killin' me girl.... how many tickets have your BOUGHT?????????????
We might have to have a big Sunday BRUNCH!!!! Works for me...:)
You better PM TRACEY ... let her know about this in her mailbox.. she checks these....
Girl. stop buying tickets......ROFLOL!
-
JAncie. I will make the sign so that it can sit on the table... this way we do not have to hold it...lol...
I better get working on this..
Note to self:
Make sign...
make laminated name and cell # cards for everyone..to pass out at the meet and greet ( if I have your personal OK on this... please give me a YES or NO in my mail box...PM me)
figure out what to wear..
get out a great little dress and heels to wear if we go out dancing
try to pack only ONE suitcase ( yeah right)
get my Breast cancer tee shirts together.. ( I think I only have 3)
ohhhhhhhh... CALL THE HOTEL and get my girls names on our room...( I keep forgetting.. but I will do it)
make a lot of tips in the next 10 days to take to Vegas... WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Good morning ladies, here is what I have so far. The breakfast coupon is $7.49 per person and that should be just about half price. This is for the Treasure Island hotel. I am also supposed to be getting buy one get one drinks at Kahunaville, Treasure Island. It is tropical them bar that is a lot of fun. Treasure Island is the hotel next door to Mirage and there is a monorail that takes you from hotel to hotel. I am supposed to have an envelope waiting for me at Mirage for more discounts but I am not sure what is going to be in it. If the outside mall for the pink the square is the one I am thinking about, is pass Mandalay Bay. We may want to consider in the way back staying at the New York, New York and going to the piano Bar. I believe that Coyote Ugly is also in the New York New York, looks like a fun bar so we may want to do this also. Let me know your thoughts and I will keep you updated if I get any new info.
Looking forward to Vegas
Hugs

Hi Everyone ~
Just wondering if anyone else is interested in relaxing and laying out by the pool on Saturday after the breakfast.
-
Hey Gisella I LOVE the NYNY piano bar idea after the paint the square!! OMG you guys it's SO MUCH FUN and with all of us girls oh man it will be a BLAST! I wonder if they will make an exception for us and reserve a spot. Hmmm
Peggio I might join you by the pool. I think we will need to see how things play out when we are there. Definitely mornings will be best by the pool since it gets so bloody HOT in Vegas!
The antibiotics have kicked in and I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER!!! I still have an ANNOYING cough though...urgh.
9 MORE DAYS!!!!
-
I sure would love to do this...not too sure how much it is, but is anybody else interested>??

Gisella/Stephanie- Our planner extrondinares--- If we could stop at the Piano Bar on the way back from the Pink event I would be so happy. I don't know about you ladies - but I know I might need a pick me up--- I have yet to make it through a BC fundraiser event without crying- even before having BC- they can be so touching. And NOTHING like the piano bar to get you singing and having fun!
Gisella could you see if we can do a reservation at the NYNY piano bar? It is small and by the time we would arrive it would have a line to get in.
-
Peggio I am in for the pool Saturday Morning. I thought the Secret Garden tour was $15.00 per person. I am not really sure. Is anyone interested in going to see a show maybe Sunday night? Let me know if you are.
Gisella
