    LOLOL ya'll are funny.

GramE it's good to see you. I'm going to take your advice and avoid as much housework as I can this weekend. I've been working at my real job the past week, and there is plenty here at home that should be done, but I just don't have the strength to tackle it. Not yet at leastWink Maybe if ya'll cheered me on I "might" could do a little.

Kathleen!!! How exciting!!! You have a new computer!!!! Now there is absolutely NO excuse whatsoever not to stay connected to your sistahs here. LOL

Sharon and Arnie must be doing housework and just don't want to come on our thread. We'll go easy on ya'll. You're allowed a time of weakness every now and then....hehe

Hey Barbe! I'm not sure if I've asked you about meds and fibromyalgia.?? Do you take Arimidex or something like it? If so, has it made your fibromyalgie like 50x's more painful??? I've told Sharon that I can hardly walk when my feet hit the floor in the mornings. It feels like broken bones. Same way with my hands and fingers....swollen and very painful. I'm been wanting to blame it all on Arimidex, but as Sharon has reminded me, it could be the Fibro flaring up. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome:) If this doesn't get any better, I may be scooting around in a scooter or wheelchair soon:)

Big hugs Bunnies!!!!! Hope everyone is wondermous!!

Shiny, Faithie, Vivvy, Mum and any other bunnies I might have missed. We're missing your little cotton tails here:)

Coonie ... I will try to do better.  I know what you mean about the pain and getting a scooter.  Gosh, I'm not really all that old to be falling apart completely!

I did break my toe on my left foot - swelled up like a fat little sausage.  Didn't do anything about it since there is nothing you can do about a broken toe.  I don't even know how I did it!!

Well, I still have boxes stacked to the ceiling ... can't get any help but I might try my church for volunteers.  I just don't have the energy.

I had a nuclear stress test this morning and they wanted me to hold my arms over my head ... my poor shoulder was so sore I almost screamed - stop the test

Outside of a need for Advil, life is okay.

    Bunnies!

What can I say to eliviate my sentence for staying so long..(nope, cannot think of anything that is acceptable!)

Kathleen and Nancy, OMG you two sure have alot to contend with! Much respect and gentle squeeze comming your way!

Think about you plenty Bunnies, and so good to "see" you all. I have writen many a bunny posts in my head (not much good to you I expect!), but "peachy vibes I am a sending, I promiss to all my Bunnie friends. Gosh, I would love to get together with you all someday.

Kids are fabulous, and I will try to tell you more soon. My eyes are a real nuisance, and have kept me away, as I find it very difficult to write and read comfortably now. (Had 1 bad retina, now other eye had a condition ((PVD)) which isn't settling) So it is like everything is out of place, like reading on a boat?..not ideal.

Have lost 30 pounds since May, waiting on bone scan results and soe bloods. I will report back, but I am calm, thinking it is just a change of hormonal status (going menopause like, again) that is changing things..hopefully. And hospital finally getting around to "formally" review and compare my CT scan locally..last January, which they lost for 3 months and then didn't "formally" follow up.

At least the weight off is good on the feet! What ever they find, as long as they don't "fix it" until I loose another 25 pounds, then I will be in my "ideal weight zone" which is bound to help with pains.

Well, kiddies on half term, so off to tackle the play room with them, then off to see a feel good movie with them.

The fall sunshine makes me full of sentimental lovely feelings and feel so grateful for all the goodness in my life.. and of course, that means you ladies as well.

    huggggggggg xx everyone.

Shiny, congrats on the 30 pounds!!! How did you do it? I've been off work for almost 4 months and have been eating VERY healthy and haven't lost an ounce!!!

Vivvy, 1/2 way????!!! Congrats to you too!!! It must feel very good.

Coonie, I'm not on anything. No AI's or Tamox. Just as well probably as I feel every day like some of the SE's I've been hearing about! I get almost bed-ridden lately. It's been a long flare. I thought I was coming out of it, but I made the mistake of cleaning my tub and it put me back on disabled...sigh.

Barbe, and Coonie! Sounds like your myalgia is being very mean to you both. So sorry to hear that. Thank goodness you are both tuff cookies. Hope something works sooner then later.

Barbe, can't take much credit for it really as I have just not got this great craving for food, like I used to; "It's a bit like the crave switch has been switched off". I also got turned on to fruit for breakfast, especially green apple which really satisfy me and fill me up, with my tall glass of skimmed milk and my 2 strong mugs of coffee. I've always been great with loads of crunchy salads, and prefer lemon or soy sauce as dressing, so that is often my lunch with a bit of pumpernicle bread and a dollop of cottage cheese (whixh I love as a salt-a-holic) or often I have a can of tuna in water, with salad or tomato chunks. All of these things I like but my appetite has definitely reduced, so that helps. at night, I tend to eat what i have cooked for the family in smaller portion or just have all the healthy sides they have but substitute for lower fat protein, so I am joining in roughly with what they are eating. I figure, pains and energy has reduced my mobility at times, so I don't require the same cals. So go for 2 light meals and one a bit more generous in bulk, if I fancy it. If I have a rare ott meal, I  go for 3 light meals for the next day or 2. I stay very flexible, but the lack of cravings has been the key. I must say that the weight loss is good for my pain, it has helped some of them.

Vivvi! You are getting there girl! yahoo!

sending you all my peachiest vibes.. off to the theatre with the kids to see "ABBA (Mamamia songs) for kids with Bear" A Bear character, panto Abba show for the kids.. they should love it!!

    Take care all.

I am 7 pages behind but wanted to pop in to say that I love having the cleaning girls come in bi weekly. Everything looks okay all the time. My DD reminded me that it is cheaper than therapy. Why did I wait so long to this.

Ginger, you got that right!!! Except that here in Canada, therapy is free!

Shiny, I eat the simplest things: cereal or toast for breakfast with tea. Lunch is either oatmeal with dates or yoghurt with fruit. Dinner is either a salad or, very rarely a meat dish, mostly salmon (I have a big food aversion going on and most stuff makes me gag!!!) or part of a frozen pizza. That's it! No potatoes, no pasta, no sauces, no take-out, no Chinese food, no McDonalds or Italian heavy dishes. There isn't really much more I can take away from my input!! I've been eating like this for 4 months, so my body should be out of the "too little food, I better store some" phase. Help!

    (((Kathleen))) Hugs

My onc told me to stop worrying about not loosing weight just be happy that it is not going up and keep eating healthy and try to exercise as much as the body can handle. So that is what I am doing.Eat mostly chicken, fish and lots of veggies.Cook at home alot to avoid the salt for my BP.Even when we travel I pick my food carefully and load my plate up with veggies first.

I drag my arthritic bones into the gym 4 to 5 days a week.Tongue outNot fun but necessary.

See, that's not fair for you Mum!! You DO excercise, so you SHOULD lose weight!!! I don't exercise, but have drastically cut down on my input, so that's not fair for me, too!

    Bunnies, bunnies, bunnies!!!!!!

I've just made an effort to read the pages & pages that I have missed.

Yes. My newest picture book did win a national award & I felt I 'owed' it to me & the project to "do" everything in my power to get it a little light-of-day. This summer I spent focused on working hard at my blog & social networking (Twitter) in an effort to share it to a wider audience.

I kid you not. It's work. I could spend 10 hours a day and feel like a drop in the bucket. Long story short, I have barely been around BCO for ages. A quick stop thru at the beach, is about all I have managed on a very ir-regular basis at that.

Elaine. I read your updates with much concern on your behalf. Everytime I see a license that is similar to your 3 initials I say a silent prayer.

We arrived to our FL home last evening, having driven 11 hours (well hubby did all driving.) Today I feel like a steam roller has plowed me down. I did get a flu shot last week & perhaps this is something of a small dose? Tomorrow we leave for Orlando for the rest of the week -- for my biggest event of the year. Today I've barely made it up off the couch. Not sure how this will play out, but time will tell??

Its so good to see so many of our ol' timers hopping through and a warm welcome to the newer-bies. After this week I'll attempt to pop in periodically -- so I don't get soooooo far behind.

LUV and cheers to each and all.

Faith, does your DH feel retired, or would he like to go back to work so he can slow down!!!

Faith wow wow wow "red white and blue woman" way to go girl!!!

Barbe, have just pm'd you. xx

Vivvy, hello there! I can't seem to keep up with the boards (eyes a bit part of it bunnies), I would love to tell you stories about my little kiddos like I used to, they are a joy.. I just seem to be spread too thinly and just can't seem to manage it like I used to. Lots of Special, Special needs stuff to attend to both practically and towards better education and ongoing next hurdles these days, months, years!

Just had a check up, bone scan unremarkable, a few things not quite right, so they are still "checking things out" MRI next. Yup. Still a lemonetttte!

Coonie daaaaling sorry to keep missing you. Would love a chat sometimes, feels like each day is over before It begins, like someone is turning the dial on the clock at a mad pace!

Thinking of all the bunnies, as always.

ps: peachy vibes and bestes hugs coming your way.

pss: I lit some cinamon spice candles tonight whilst I did the dishes. Is it just me or does it feel like time to get really into cozy Christmas glow mode?

Shiny ... so sorry about your lemonette status - gentle hugs coming across toi you.  I would dearly love tgo get together with you ladies someday.  It would be simply scrumptious!

Barbe ... also sorry to hear you are almost bed-ridden.  Pain can be so aggrevating.  It just drains you of all energy

Isn't it funny about so many of us having little appetite?  I've lost weight but considering what I used to eat and what I'm eating now, the weight should literally be dropping off of me!

Home nurses are sending a physical therapist to my home twice a week and I told her my goal was to strengthen the muscles around my bones and joints to hopefully hold me up.  My joints are shot.

Faith ... congratulations on your new book.  Boy, you are like the energizer bunny!

    Love all the bunnies!

The house is looking better in general after months of cleaners coming every pther week 3 girls for 1 hr 15 min. They get a lot done. I am going to have them for an extra hour before Christmas to get everything a bit shinier.  I am glad I finally went ahead and hired them. No way would I be doing all they do and certainly not as quickly. I especially love havoing them change the sheets. They are strong and get the fitted sheets on easily.

My husband has to go to India for around amonth in february, I wonder if it will all stay nicer then or will it show how mucgh he actually does day to day. He takes out the garbage, runs the dish washer, does laundry and grocery shopping too. He does alot it is going to show. I appreciate him a lot.

Barbe ... you're starting to worry me about not eating.  I, too, feel like NOT eating but in order to take my pills I have to eat.  Otherwise, ice water would be just fine.  I hope you are feeling better soon.

Ginger ..., I think you husband is very dear to help out.  BTW, that part about fitted sheets sounded real familiar.  I wait until my sister comes over to change the sheets.  This makes me crazy - something I did only a few years ago is now beyond my abilities!

    Kathleen, Barbe, GingerB!!

Just a quick shout out to "youall". Sounds like 2 of you need to get eaing your weetabix! and the other has a doll of a dh.. but Ginger, the flip side is that when he is in India, there will be less dishes and less laundry, so you will be just fine. Here in England, you can also very easilly get your grocery shopping done "online and delivered". if you can't sleep one night and are curious, just google tesco.com/groceries or sainsburies. \msny grocery retailers to this online thing. FABULOUS! PS:... I don't think they quite deliver to the states yet though. shame.

Had my MRI or my Brachial Plexus area last Tuesday, going back to Onc on 16th Dec for results, to see what is causing me such gip, and loss of strenght and grip etc in my left arm. Thinking it is a spine thingy, to do with my cervical lipped etc C4 to C8, makes sense. Not worried.

Special needs keeping me super busy but my DS is making me so proud and doing so well, so am super motivated to go go go for him. Wish you could meet him. Anyhooo, my darling beloved daughter doing very well as well, and am as ever feeling super de douper pround of my smunchkinds. I am a truly Blessed LEMONTTE!

Question to all bunnies: Am I the only one, humming Christmas songs and really getting into the Christmas spirit! I can't wait to decorate. One more week for decluttering between SEN appointments then, let me to it! I love Christmas. It's cinamon and bakind time in my house.

Thank you daaaalings for your lovely bunnyness! Thinking of you all where ever you all are. Once a bunny, always a dustbunny.

xx big peachy vibes and hug coming over to you all right now.

New here and glad I found this thread.  I am not a neat freak, but a untidy house makes me nervous. I see that some here have used tips from flylady.net, and I use some of her basic rules.  I hardly ever have dirty dishes in the sink, and I try to keep the kitchen sink sparkly.  I also try to keep the living room, dining room and 1st floor/guest bathroom neat in case we have surprise visitors.  I don't vaccuum as often as I should, and wish I could keep up with mopping the kitchen floor more often.

I do have a cleaning service that comes in 2x a month, that helps me keep things in order.  But I have to organize.  My basement flooded in the summer, my floors were just redone and my former attic was remodeled into bedrooms.  So I have too much stuff (I have kids and I think I have at least 3-4 bins of stuffed animals, 3-4 boxes of board games, have to go through all drawers to donate clothes that don't fit any longer--but my clutter is out of control too). my basement looks like an episode of horders! Everything that doesn't have a place is in the basement--which is a lot of stuff.  Holiday stuff, husbands tools, extra platter for parties/serving things etc. Its out of control.  I will have to do the three bins of donate, dump and keep and plan on sorting through this during the time btw Xmas and NYE, when I have off from work.

Corrine, your basement flooded and you have put your overflow in the basement. Hm. We had our basmenet flood, I am from Chicago too and my neighbor said that I might as well just throw out anything I put on the basement floor. He is probably right but I too had all this overflow. FInally when we moved I got a lot of it in order. It is just so difficult when there is a lot of it to go through to avoid becoming overwhelmed.  We lived in that house for 28 years when we moved amd raised a mess of kids there. It does pile up.

    Corrine your plan sounds good.

    Hugs Ginger

I know I know. Praying for no heavy thunderstorms for the next 3 weeks. I never thought I would be looking forward to snow. Edited to add--after the flood we did get rid of just about everything that the dirty water touched.  So the basement was pretty clear up until two weeks ago.  The stuff in the attic, was moved to the garage and now into the basement.  Confusing I know.  Netnet of it is--I have way too much crap that I don't care about, but need to make the time to get rid of it.

I would like to get my basement back and remodeled sometime is 2012.
