Awwww I love all the cute bunnies!
Michelle
-
Not exactly a bunny but a cute bilby instead..
-
What the hell is that??? A bat without wings????
-
Does it have opposable thumbs? It looks more human now that I'm studying it more. Very sweet...
-
Awwhhhh that's a cute little creature Vivvy
How are you feeling these days?
Hope all you bunnies are having a wondermously brilllll hopping weekend:)
Where is everybody.....I can't see anyone!!
-
Maybe all the bunnies here are out to lunch
-
I know this doesn't have much to do with housekeeping, unless you can keep your house clean by growing your herbs outside. Soooooooo.....I thought this was kinda neat. I know Sharon grows her own herbs........
-
Oooooh nice! I've got a big garden in my backyard. I have cilatro, sweet basil, dill and Rosemary. I would love to have something like that!
-
I know what you mean mrochon. Looks like it would keep it more uniform. I don't grow herbs, cut that almost makes me want to start
-
Just checking in to see how every"bunny" is doing. It sure has been quiet here.
I'm HOPING there hasn't been any housework going on
Wishing all of you a wondermous weekend!!!!!
East Coast bunnies----please stay safe!!! You're in my thoughts and prayers!
Edit: other pic didn't stick..........hope this one does. If not, it's just a cute little white bunny:)

Quick hello to all. Finger and thumb surgeries went well. Stitches came out Thursday but still nasty looking. Pain is minimal.
Weather update: earthquake did not cause me or family any damage except perhaps a few more gray hairs... Rain is here and wind is picking up as I type. Weird that when I first moved here there was the 100 year flood, then the major snow storm last year. Then 2011 has produced an earthquake and now a hurricane. I am in the city, so a forest fire is unlikely, but then .......
Hugs, Peace and Blessings, Nancy

All ok here in Alexandria, Virginia. power was off 2 hours or so while I slept thru it all. I can see one big tree across the street that was uprooted, but no damage as it fell into the little dog park, not into the street. Still some rain, mild winds. I will have to get a " I survived Irene " shirt ....
Hugs, Nancy

My name is Barbe1958 and I did housework yesterday....sigh. Today all my family is coming over to celebrate DSD (dear step-daughter-25) and Fynn and Zach's ONE YEAR birthdays!!! We had to do it now because everyone can be here. Fynn isn't one until the end of September tho. House is smacking clean which is nice except it will be ripped up this week to put down new flooring!! Woo hoo!~!!!
-
GramE it's so good to hear you weathered the storm!! Seems like you're getting a taste of everything mother nature has to offer
. Stay safe!!
Barbe!!!!!!!! Step away from the vacuum cleaner!!!! Slowly......now, put down the dust rags and don't look back. There's always hope, so jump back on the wagon and start again
We believe in you and know you can do it!!!
I'm jealous you're getting new floors. I've been putting it off for YEARS and just don't have the energy to go through with it. That's a major thing......moving everything out and then back in. Are you getting carpet, wood, tile????? Maybe you'll give me some inspiration to go ahead and get mine done. The first step of our "updates" was the refrigerator. I've picked out the oven, microwave and cooktop. Need to look at countertops, but.....................oh!!! So much work!!
Ohhhh and happy birthday to the babes!!!! Already turning 1 year old! Times flies!!
Hope all you bunnies are doing fine!!!
Shinygirl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where oh where in the world are you??!!! Sure miss your updates. Hope lemonette status is ok and the kiddos are all fine!! And DH too!! Hop in when you can!
Sending big hugs to everyone!!!!!

Well, it looks like we need to have a group meeting soon.
Calling all Housekeepers Anonymous (HA).....please check in and state your weekness and a disciplinary plan for future use. It looks like it's serious this time. Especially since Barbe has ADMITTED doing housework, but hasn't returned. This makes me very nervous!!
-
I confess I have been doing housework...well I haven't really not done it since about week 4 post op. My name is Michelle Rochon and I am a...house cleaner. Yes I work by day, for the past four weeks and have been back into full-blown single mom mode. I got home from work a couple hours ago. I picked tomatoes from my garden, stewed them and blended them into a sauce. While I was stewing them, I washed and hung a couple loads of laundry and cleaned the kitchen. I will be dropping my daughter off at her grandmas in a few then I will be back home ALONE...if only for a couple of hours before my oldest comes home from SoCal. I will be up early tomorrow going to a few garage sales then home to do some deep cleaning of my bedroom, livingroom and linen closet. My free cleaning lady is coming on Tuesday. I will save the bathroom and the walls and floors for her.
The dust bunnies in here are darling but the ones in my house are not. I have to sweep them out! -
OMG. Great birthday parties on Sunday. Done. Then had to take everything loose (not big furniture) out of the living/dining room. Easy peasy. BUT then I had to do my craft room. Oh my dear sweet lord why oh why!!! I haven't had it set up since we moved in last October as we knew we were going to do flooring. We prefer an expensive laminate over hardwood as laminate is more stable and doesn't scratch (less maintenance!). So the living/dining room - laminate. Upstairs 2nd bedroom (aka craft room) - laminate. It was HELL. Truly. I had to take 2 Lorazepam and sit in the basement (finished) and quiver the 7 hours away.....
Then when they left, I had to put everything back. Living/dining easy peasy. Craft room, which is all in our bedroom not so easy but I'm plugging away because......new carpet on Tues/Wed this week!!! I HAVE to get everything back in place so new carpet can go down in the basement and stairs, the stairs going up to the second floor hallway and our bedroom. Can you say STRESS?? I've been way over on my pain meds lately. I wonder why....?
It was bitter sweet to do the cleaning for the party as we looked around knowing that we'd be tearing it all up the next day!
Flooring is gorgeous! We made a deal when we bought the place that we'd do it as there is mid-grey coloured carpet down now. Laminate is rich mid tones (teak coloured but not orangey). Stay posted for the carpet comments!
-
Well, congratulations Michelle!!! You've made the first step-----and that's always the hardest --------- admitting there's a problem
It sure sounds like you're making it VERY easy for the cleaning lady. I've no room to talk though. Whenever I had someone helping me with my house, I cleaned the night before she came:)
Barbe! I bet the party was a blast. You should start a tradition and have their party each year all together. It will give them some great memories as they grow older:)
How's the flooring going? Can you post some pics. I've been so worried about getting started. So, do they just move furniture, etc from room to room as they need to, or does everything out of the house have to be removed? Ugghhhhhh I REALLY need new flooring, but I DON'T need anymore stress right now. I'm open to any suggestion:)
Where's the rest of the bunnies???? I hope it's not bunny hunting season. Love and miss you all and sending you all big big HUGS!!!
Maybe some are traveling for vacation...
I'm trying to ignore the thoughts that some are actually CLEANING!!!! Please redeem yourself at your earliest convenience.
-
Carpeting got down Wed/Thurs. Coonie, you leave the heaviest stuff in the room and they move it to one end, put down the floor and juggle the stuff back around. But pictures and everything have to be off the walls. and I have LOTS of pictures!! But I survived!!! Looks amazing. Everything almost put away but I have to sort the family room downstairs as my sister-in-law and SO are coming to visit Mon-Tues. They will be staying at the Inn. That's why we turned the only spare bedroom into a craft room!! We do have a very nice futon in the famly room, but hey, you reach a certain age.....
-
Hey ladies.... I know I've been missing in action but still think of you all, and hubby still says a prayer for the ladies on my threads every night... :-)
Life has gotten soooooo busy.... and I've been soooooo tired. Knew something was wrong but didn't know what. Yesterday my doctors office called and my thyroid is inactive. THAT'S WHY... So glad it's something that I can handle with meds...started my syntroid today, and the doc said, "Now Janet it will take a couple of weeks to kick in"... he knows I want my energy back...lol
Barbe that sound fabulous!!!! When and if I ever get "rich" monetarily I'm gonna send you a plane ticket to come do my last two rooms that need a face lift... :-)
I'm not gonna try to name everyone.... you all know who I mean, but have missed getting on here and think about you all often! Just had no "extra" energy....
Love ya all... ((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))

Hi all: I think I need an intervention. Storage nook is totally cleaned out, nothing there except a small lamp. Throw rugs washed and dryed. Drapes washed and dried and rehung. Kitchen floor mopped, but still sticky for some reason - needs another go at it.
Finger and thumb are healing nicely, but still stiff and new skin is sensitive - yes, I wore gloves when mopping...
Prayers, Hugs, and Blessings for all, Nancy
-
Nancy,
OFF THE THE NAUGHTY CORNER!!!!
Okay maybe a bit harsh ....Instead take a cup of tea and go sit outside in the sunshine to think about your actions.
Hugs to all,
Viv
-
xx xx thinking as always as you all. Glad to see you all (hopefully) enjoying a beautiful Fall and not tending to pesky dustbunnies.
As always in my heart and prayers,
your "mislaid" lemonette!
-
Thinking of you all and miss you all terribly!.......Good news though......Hubby FINALLY got a job .....He started a week ago Monday and he is really enjoying it......Let's hope his feel good happy lasts quite a long time!..........It will be nice to have a little money of my own now and not have to give it all to BILL.......LOL.......
-
Hi Lucy!!! It's great to see you! I've been awhile for quite awhile myself. And I DO think about all you bunnies every single day. I miss you all and hope everyone is doing well!!
I've got alot of catching up to do:)
Sending bigs hugs to EVERYBUNNY here:)
-
Awww, it sounds like we're all together with no major boo-boos!!! I get nervous when someone disappears and worry that they have had progression. It's so good to see the old folk again; Arnie - you're probably going to feel re-born!!!! when the meds kick in! Lucy, thank God he got a job, that should help keep him off the skids. Nancy, what did you do to your fingers? Vivvy, LOVE those pics of cats! and Coonie and Shiny, so good to see everything is status quo!!!
Just to make y'all feel a little better, we finally vacuumed yesterday!!! That's more than a month since the new carpet when down. But it didn't need it before! We have no dogs and we're pretty neat people in general. I DO have pile of papers, actually two, at my computer....
-
Barbe, I was in a car wreck over 30 years ago and have now had 10 surgeries on my wrist, hand, fingers. This latest was a nodule on my thumb that was on the tendon. And on the "long" finger... 2 nodules wrapped around the nerve at the end joint, which also caused my finger nail to deform and lots of pain. The thumb is doing better than the finger but still hard to hold a pen to write. So far the bank has not rejected any checks I have written !! The long finger is stiff and will take a lot longer to recover since both sides of my finger were "cut". Over all, I have 25% of whatever normal is for my dominant (left) hand, wrist. And to complicate things, it is my BC side.
The car wreck also left me with trauma induced Brachial Plexopathy, cervical disc disease and 3 lower slipped discs. So far I have avoided lymphadema and anyone who wants can call me a wimp or sissy for not lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying heavy things. I just agree with them and do not try to explain my ailments. I think you know what I mean and understand.
it is a beautiful, sunny day and I am off to shop then bingo this evening. May each of you avoid as much housework as possible and enjoy the weekend. Hugs, Nancy

I have been away also - health scares and broken computer - just got a new one today. It is so good to see all the "old" gang back together!
Arnie ... it is so good to see you again!
Lucy ... same - so glad you hubby is working - that's terrific!
Coonie ... I'm going to try to do better on the boards - I so appreciate you looking after me when I am absent too long.
Shiny ... gosh - I hope all is well with you - I've mised you too Miss Peachy!
Nancy ... hope you hand is healing - those can be so painful. Adn don't you dare life anything heavier than a teacup.
Vivvy ... I'm with you - if you insist on doing housework you must stand in the corner!
Barbe ... as always it is a pleasure seeing you!
I've missed you all so much!
-
Kathleen!!! I've missed you too, sweetie!!
