He is always away from the office but usually no longer than 1 week. Everytime he goes away longer some kind of problems manifest themselves.Just hope we get nice weather.
-
Mum ... what a great birthday gift! He will be so happy!
Barbe ... I know its animal cruelty but he has to live on the floor so I thought he might like it clean once in a while.
-
mumma, i'm with Barbe.. find a way to make it at least a 2 week thing..10 days minimum. It's so far to travel, then get over jetlag. Anyway, it is a brilliant idea. He's lucky to have you. Saw the pictures the wedding, wowow wow wow, such a gorgeous bride and groom, and you looked radiant!
Kathleen, thinking of you and sending you my peachy hugs, and a thanks for you ever kind thoughts. I have read but have been too exausted to post, not impressive, i know.
LEMON,LEMON,LEMONETTE, that is me. Have got some lovely positive things happening with DS, and DD just turned 8 on Sunday, but party is in just under 2 weeks. Problem is the last bloods to see if my ferritin has gone back up,got lost..(not NHS private). And, don't know if it is due to this problem with my 1 good eye of what, but I am having a real on off prob with balance and etc, so much so that cannot drive at times. I am waiting for my consultant to come back to do the bloods again, but as really need to be able to drive, am reluctantly going to call the gp in the a.m to see if there is anything they might look at re cause. It is actually really hard for me to type this, hence why i haven't done so lately. Ahh, once a lemon..Anyhoo. other then that, kids are brilliant and they make me just beam. Hopefully get myself sorted soon, as I miss sharing with you girls, but honestly it's like virtigo writing this.
Coonie, Barbe, Sharon, Faith, think of you, and other bunnies daily.
****Faith, out of the blue, my dear DS started singing your "red white and blue" one morning last week, and then said "read white and blue, I LIKE (instead of love, but close enough) you, then he quickly said, it's from like Debbie. ahhhhh. When is your British tour happening lovey!?
xx

Our dear Shiny. Nice to 'see' you. Gentle hugs to all who are cleaning and not. I'm not.
-
Good evening Bunnies!!
It's so good to see everyone popping in.
Shinygirl!!! I wish I could come over to your pond, pack your bags, hire a babysitter, and take you to one of the best doctors in your country and get your lemonette problems all fixed in one day!!! You've got to precious kiddos to raise and you need your lemon FULL......LOL. Hope you're enjoying your summertime.
((((Sharon)))) it's so good to see you posting again!!We miss you when you're away from the boards. It leaves a gap in our sisterhood group:)
OK, I'm not sure who realized and invented the vacuum cleaner as a threat to our animals. That's what's wrong with my Opie I guess whenever I crank it up. So...............he's old, and I sure don't want to cause any unnecessary health problems. So---no more vacuuming!! Thanks ladies!!If more breaking news about other hazardous objects to our pets, please PLEASE let me know ASAP. We've got to protect our furbabies!!
(((((((((((bunnies)))))))))))))
-
Shiny ... isn't that the worse! I have suffered from dizziness my whole life (I guess you could say I'm a dizzy broad! I hope the doctors can help you - and soon! Can you take Bonine? Its a drug for motion sickness but the doctor told me its the same as prescription antivert. My sister suffers from it too - we had Bonine all over the house, in every room - we were taking no chances.
Sharon ... I missed you too - its good to see you back.
Coonie ... I don't know if you remember but several years ago I broke two bones in my foot tripping over the vacuum cleaner - its not only hazardous to the furbabies but us too!
Much love and lots of hugs to the dustbunnies!
-
Hi Kathleen, You don't mention how YOU are in your post. I really hope you are having a peachy week, with only good things happening and you feeling good.xx Do you still live with swirly wirlyness all the time? gooooodness!! and bless you. Will be having blood test on Friday or Monday, back to doc. I will look up the ingreadients in Bonine, in case that is the next step. Thanks a bunch or as my dh says sometimes "thank you muchly!".
Sharon..big hug. THinking of you.
Coonie, ohhh that sounds so tempting going to hang out with you for the weekend! Maybe you'd be better off coming to me here, what with our temperate weather. You could indulge in a touch of tennis, bowls, and then settle under the jasmine for a spot of Pims and sandwiches? (of course with my 2 splashing in the hot tub(nothing posh, just inflatable) nearby calling "Auntie Coonie, look here!!" ahh nice image.
Barbe, tell me you pain is being whooooped adequately by your meds, you are amazing.
take care all, kids off school today (1 day strike action) but loads still on as therapist speech and language and swimming is going on regardless and have to make my lounge therapy ready and tidyyyyy, been too off balance this week. They still have school until the 27th!
xx hugs and a large dose of peachy vibes to all my bunny friends.

Shiny ... I hope the Bonine works for you. I get dizzy on specific occasions - twirling (which I haven't done in forever), sometimes watching someone else twirling, when I am sick - every childhood disease I had brought me to my knees with the room spinning. I have severe motion sickness - in other words I can experience dizziness at any moment and yes it really sucks.
The doctor gave me Codine which I took last night - this morning I can hardly keep my eyes open and feel kind of loopy. I think I will have to be in horrific pain to take one of those again!
My left hand is swollen and I can hardly move my right hand - I guess arthritis but the right hand that hurts so much is definitely NOT swollen and the left hand looks like a young girls - no veins showing through - kinda of plumped up! I don't know about any of you but as I age my veins are sticking out like big fat worms under my skin and I don't like it one bit!
Love to all the dustbunnies - hope everyone's day is painfree.
-
Long weekend for both countries check out the beach thread ladies there is usually a party over there.Remember ((NO HOUSEWORK))
-
I keep Gravol in reach at all times and even have a 'puking bowl' that the kids knew to grab when I turned green. Bending over gardening, mowing and other things that tricked my eyes would make me nauseous. I even have Gravol in the car and my purse and at my desk at work! I can dry-swallow one, as who wants water going down when everything is about to come up!

(((((Sharon)))....Hope you get the relief you need soon.....
Hi all!......haven't been here for ages....Missed you all alot........So sorry to hear about Elizabeth......Kona was a great lady and she helped me a lot when I was first dx'd..........
I took some time off from here for two reasons.....

Two I just had to take a break from it all......I was really getting way down reading of all the fine women this horrible disease has taken form us........It never ends and i will never get used to it.....
Faith hope all is well with you...Until I get new reading glasses it will be too hard for me to go back and read everything but I have read of much success for you....Congratulations!
All the pictures are absolutely gorgeous!.......
Mum you are absolutely gorgeous in your dress!.....Don't even think otherwise.......
All the little kiddles are just too cute for words........I just love little kids...They're all so open and honest.....(Well most of the time...LOL)
Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday and if I don't get back here before then, I wish you all a Happy (and safe) 4th of July!.........
I love you all, my pink warrior sisters!
-
Lucy, buy cheap readers like I do at the dollar store. I keep some in each room of the house and only use my real ones when I go out. That way I don't wear down my good ones. You know, like look through them too many times and use up all the magnification.....
-
WOWOWOW
Bunnies!!!!
So many bunnies hopping though!
I love it when there's a whole bunch of bunnies in the hutch.
I'm whooped.
Seriously whoooped.
Just an hour ago have finished my latest marathon of 14 Family Library Concerts for a variety of summer reading programs. The one this morning probably had about 150 preschoolers! In any case, I MADE IT!!
Shiny, I sang "Red, White and Blue" at each of the events -- all 14. This was all in the last week. Twelve since Monday morning. This is the fourth or fifth time I've made the circuit for this particular library system, since I started my 'company.' Today is the last day for year number 14. Tomorrow starts year # 15.
We are already in the car and headed to our heaven-on-earth up in northern WI, up on the bay. We hope to get to Chicago before stopping tonight. I'll play on the laptop and snooze.
I promise to take it easy for the entire coming week! Then it's off to Vegas for a national convention of Kindergarten teachers. I have a couple of workshops and a book signing. I know that there will be absolutely NO cleaning anywhere on the horizon for me.
I'm just so happy to see everyone. Lucy, welcome back!!! It's great to see you.

Hi Bunnies!! Just wanted to wish you all a Happy 4th of July or Happy Canada Day or Happy England Day or Happy Australia day.....LOL. WHATEVER day it is, I wish you all a happy one:)
-
Echoing our dearest Coonie's sentiments and wishes from accross the pond.
Sports day at school on Friday, then off home normal routine, but added a rare "bloody ceasar" my favorite Canadian cocktail, to "celebrate Canada day". Happy Day all. xx
Today was beautiful here, the perfect weather. Exausting, now on couch. not moving for a bit.
Enjoy your celebration what every way it suits you. Be good to yourselves bunnies.
Thinking of you!

Coonie. That has to be THE most appropriate picture EVER!
Cutie-patootie. (Oops, wrong thread.)
We had tickets today to see a world premiere and it was so totally awesome. A cast of 5, mom, dad and the 3 grown children. Thanksgiving 1980, Christmas 1990, New Years 1999/2000 and Easter present day.
Wow. Hilarious, touching. I was in tears for the final curtain.
It's entitled, "When God Laughs" based on the Woodie Allen sentiment, about telling your plans and God laughs.... or something like that.
anyhow, it was so moving.......
Makes me realize how just how much I treasure each of you. It's so special "getting old" with each of you. Here's to our next decade together.
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
Faith, I thought you were joking about seeing that world premiere and were referring to the visit with your grands!! I don't think we can allow Woody Allen to 'own' that quote....can we? The play sounds cool, I can imagine how it goes. Births, weddings, illness and death?
-
Good morning Bunnies!!
Hope all of you are having a wondermous hump day!!
Shiny, I think I need one of those drink concoctions you were talking about:) My mind is so busy working overtime at night and I'm not sleep well. Made the mistake of watching the Casey Anthony trial.....uuggghhhhhh. Worried about my sister and her kids.......lots of stuff going on.
Anway, our very own sweet Arniebelle has a birthday on 7/8 I think!!! I hope you have a wondermous birthday Arnie and many many more happy, health ones ahead.!! We love you Arnie!! Miss you too!!

Hello everyone! I'm 2 weeks post op and feel like absolute crud. But...the cleaning company called me right before I went in. I just have to call them to come in and clean. Yeah! My daughters have been cleaning but well...they are teenagers.
Those are some beautiful pics posted!
Michelle
-
Hi Michelle!! Sending you best wishes and good positive vibes to start your healing process. I know how "crud" feels, but it won't last forever:) You'll feel good again soon..........I promise!! Oh, and I know how teenagers clean. I think you're doing the right thing by calling the cleaning service. You'll feel SOOOOOOOOO much better once it's all nice and clean and smells good:) That might even help you heal faster.........LOL.
The cakes are for Arnie (one of our special bunnies) but I haven't seen her hop over here in a long time. I'm hoping she'll get her hopper fixed and chime in. Arnieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! I'm a hollerin for ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good night bunnies!!!! Sleep deep and dream sweet!!! (got that from a bunny friend)
-
MIchelle, 2 weeks out is exactly when you'll start to feel better!!! Most of the anaesthetic will be out of your system and you'll want to get up and about now. Moving around will get things falling back into place. Good luck sweetie!!
-
Hi all! My oncologist said I won't need any further treatment! My chances are less than 3% reoccurance because of the double mastectomy. I have to be watched for the next couple of years so I'm not officially clear yet but yahoo! And I can start moving my arms next week. Housecleaning here I come! :-)
-
Be careful!! Too much moving can cause LE. You have to take it slowly......congrats by the way!!
-
By moving, do you mean moving in general or just the arms?
-
I mean more like vacuuming or raking. Both those actions really piss off the wounds. So don't do housework. Every! No dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing out tubs or bending down for toilets. Those positions are all bad for you.
You now have a 'Get out of Housework Free' card to last a lifetime!!!
You need to move your arms gently so you don't seize up....
-
Ugh! Not really what I wanted to hear...
What about a Swiffer? You just gently glide those along? Does someone need to bop me over the head for not getting the message???
-
A Swiffer still needs you to rotate arms and twist them. Forget it!!!
-
Bleh, you're just full of good news for me! I have some major retraining to do.
-
Sorry to join so late
