Well, like the kitten, I guess I will have to go bop 'em on the head and wake them up.
This pic is posted just because.

Cleaning PoemI asked the Lord to tell meWhy my house is such a mess.He asked if I'd been 'computering',And I had to answer 'yes.'He told me to get off my fannyAnd tidy up the house. And so I started cleaning up...The smudges off my mouse.I wiped and shined the topside. That really did the trick...I was just admiring my work..I didn't mean to 'click.'But click, I did, and oops I foundA real absorbing site. That I got SO way into.I was into it all night.<<Sigh>>Nothing's changed except my mouseIt's very, very shiny.I guess my house will stay a mess...While I sit here on my hiney.

ROFL....good one lefty!!!
-
That poem should be at the heading of this thread! Perfect! hehehehehehehe
-
Yesterday I was possessed by some strange energy that had me cleaning like a mad woman. I scrubbed the bathroom, even the exhaust vent, removed and washed the light fixture covers - 4 of them over the mirrror. Then I tackled the refrigerator and the coils underneath and behind. Good thing is it is on rollers or I would be doing the sciatica moan for sure.
As if that wasn't enough, there are 2 boxes of books I sorted thru in my car to be donated to the Senior Center when I go over to play bridge.
The poem seemed fitting today, as I refuse to do anything besides go to play bridge this afternoon with the old farts at the Senior Center. Then it is Chinese take out or pizza for dinner and watch some DVD's I got for Christmas - the PBS series Waiting for God.
Please don't kick me off - the devil made me do it -- the cleaning devil. HUGS, Nancy
-
Ha ha ha.... when you are finished with Waiting for God, can I have it.... will return... hubby and I used to watch that but we gave up our cable.... sigh..... Brit sit coms are sooooo funny. We have 'allo, 'allo and all of Black Adder (12 video tapes).
We have taken all of our Christmas decorations down, leaving out a couple of snowmen and angels.
If they turf you for your cleaning virus... obviously only the 24 hour sort, I will have to go next as I have my cleaning done for me. Oh wait that it the ideal here. Well I forgive you.
-
I did a load of dishes this weekend and folded 4 baskets of laundry. I absolutely could not bring myself to sweep. I don't know what happened to my right shoulder, but it's been killing me since last Thursday. I've even been using the heating pad on it. It almost feels like something is pinched. And I'm retraining fluid big time. My hands are swollen and sore. I weighed myself this morning and I've gained 6 lbs! I got the results of my sleep study and I have moderate sleep apnea. I have to go back to be fitted for a CPAP to help me breath at night. Hopefully, if I start getting better sleep, I won't be so exhausted all the time.
-
LOL at your poem Nancy. I didn't even clean my mouse today. (I did vacuum a bit though. I had a combination of dust bunnies and dust doggies.)
Jane, I'm sorry, I just read your post. Wth is going on??? Have you spoken to the Dr. yet?
-
Attempting to get caught up.
Jane thinking of you, hope the machine improves all sorts of things for you.
Shiny, thinking of you, too as you sort thru the lemonette status midst the snow & tribunal.
Love of course to each and every bunny.
Since I feel like everything is 'all about me' here's the latest:
I have GREAT, Big, GLORIOUS news!!!
And it has taken me all day to figure out how to share it.
I've just gotten off the phone with Saint and she's helped me "process" the good news and she has given me 'permission' to be happy.
I must say that while I am happy down to my toe-nails, I also have enough 'survivor guilt' and mixed-up emotions, that I want to tread carefully, because I realize that there are so many who do not get to have a 'happy dance.'
So with all of that as a pre-amble. I woke before dawn again and somewhere before 5:00 a.m. I listened to my cell phone messages from yesterday. Apparently I turned off the phone to take a nap and never turned it back on......
There was a message from my surgeon that my path report was already back!!!! He let me know that the pathology indicated everything removed was DCIS, as per his expectations. The nodes surveyed indicated that there was nothing invasive. He concluded the message by saying that there were absolutely NO surprises.
I listened to the message at least two dozen times.
I've told my parents & my children & now that I've tracked down Saint, I can share the news here.
I am keenly aware of how fortunate I am.
I am keenly aware that others will not receive this sort of news.
I am keenly aware of what your support has meant to me.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Thank you and thank you and thank you some more!!
-
Yay!!!!
I am very happy and thrilled about the path report. Now you can move on and not look back!!

Hi, honey bunnies! I didn't fall off the planet & I've missed you all. Been catching up with a lot of you on Facebook these days, so I haven't been here in a few weeks.
Lucy, I am so sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. Barbe's right, that's ridiculous. I can't believe that anyone even admitted she aspirated on her meds, because that's the kind of thing that invites a lawsuit. Good golly, that's just awful. Hugs & praryers to you & your family.
I've been keeping up with Faith on FB, and Faith, honey, I send you another shout. I'm so glad your path report was all negative. Coonie, we all enjoyed her visit with you vicariously!
I have actually gotten curtain rods for my bedroom at long last & hung the curtains. And I might actually get it together enough to -- slowly, one sheet at a time -- hang the wallpaper I bought for it 3 years ago!!!
Well, after a chest X-ray, a chest CT scan & a pulmonary function test, I'm told I have scar tissue on the outside of my right lung, on the pleural covering, which is from radiation. I do not have any fibrosis or scarring inside the lungs, but my asthma, which had only bothered me for maybe 10 minutes a year and not at all for the 3 years before radiation, is worse now than ever & bothers me every day & constantly. I am still fatigued, but maybe a smidgen better, and as of this week, I have cut my work schedule from 4 days a week to 3, and it was heavenly not to have to go to work today. So, there's some hope...details are on my blog.
Hugs to you all, especially those of you I don't see on Facebook!!

I don't know what is going on with me. In addition to the sleep stuff, I gained 6 lbs in a week and I'm retaining fluid in my hands, feet, belly and face. My right shoulder is killing me and sometimes it goes right down my right arm. This is in addition to the normal feet, hand, knee and left elbow pain I have from the femara. I go back to the Onc on 2/1 for my regular check-up, so we'll see what he says...if I can wait that long. I just feel a bit not quite right, if anybody gets that.
-
((((((((((((((((((((Jane))))))))))))))))))))))
-
Jane, should you call the onc? Or your pcp? The arm sounds like probably the usual soft-tissue damage/cording etc. Mine has been awful, too, but PT has helped. You may need to change drugs, too. Edema is a serious thing.
-
I keep thinking that if I ignore it, it will go away. That head in the sand thing, you know.
-
Jane - get thee to a doctor - why suffer? We have enough trouble with everyday breaking down stuff already (worn out joints, bones, etc). Lots of gentle hugs.
Lucy - WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!
Faith - what wonderful news!
-
Hello Daaaaaaaaaling Dustbunnies,
I am queen Lemonette tonight, in bed but just had to pop in to report, but first
Hollyann (((((hug))))
Jane, i'd call someone on your team, no use waiting and then possibly agravating something.
Right, as expected ladies, I have scant news to report. Met with the new joint head Oncoligist today. He requested a further chest xray, MRI and some further blood tests. He want to see me back in a month after the results are all back in. I will nottt tttt tttt bore you with all the details, but for those who wanted my report; We are still too early in the investigation process. We just have to rule things out and also possibly refer me to other kinds of specialists, re nerve and spine possibly. All too early to say, looking forward to the results of the chest and spine "look see" on the MRI#(but have to have it first, they are calling me as soon as they have a cancelled slot).
Feeling tired, calm and happy, as I have great kids, a hubby who has just come home 1 night early, and, of course... You madames, my daaaaaling Loveys.
Take care, and hugs a bunch
Shiny
-
We're here for you in the long haul, Shiny.
Will be sending all sorts of prayers as they seek answers on your behalf.
Take vastly good care of yourself, in the sorting process.
Cuz I need your peachy vibes.
-
Lucy so sorry to hear about your SIL, that is awful.
Jane I understand about the head in the sand approach but I think you have put up with it long enough and it could be time to see a doctor about it.
Arnie thanks for the maid, just what I need! I am still not motivated to do much housework.
Faith it's great to see you posting. I'm thrilled to hear your good news about your path report.
Shiny I'm glad you were able to get to your appointment, I was hoping you wouldn't get so much snow that you were unable to get there. Sending calm, happy vibes to you.
Hugs to all.
-
Well ladies, it looks like I have to do some housework today, it is mud season here. The frozen ground melts during the day, and with 3 dogs in and out all day ( we are currently fostering a puppy in addition to the two who always live here), we have mud in the house. I've already swept once this morning, which took care of the big clumps. I'm sure I will sweep at least two more times and wash the floors at least once.
At least the two younger boys are working to help keep the floor shiny.
The big one drags the puppy around by the toy.
-
Awwhhhh that is so cute Pat. Looks like a pretty good mopping method:)
(((Shiny)))) we're here with you daaaahling!! Sure hope you get things all sorted out real soon!!
(((Lucy)))
