Good morning dust bunnies.
What is it about getting something for nothing or very little that is so appealing? I am a dumpster diva from way back - or should I say a recycler?
Hope everyone has a great day!
-
I bought my WonderPeeps presents at the "One More Time Store."
It's plastic, Fisher Price...... for Pete's sake.
Save it from the landfill.
The stuff lasts at least 3 generations.
-
I "rescued" 3 fake trees from the dumpster and have a mini forest on my patio slab. Also a lovely wrought iron table, about 2 feet across. Cost = zero. May it be a terrific Thursday for all, Hugs, Nancy
-
I just found this site - for those into "recyclling":
-
Barbe my most heart felt YIPEYs all heading north!!! What wonderful news....
-
OMG ladies!....I can't believe it......I just yesterday received a Christmas card form Heidi-Ho's DH.......It has a pic of her beautiful little kiddos on it........Makes me so sad to know they will grow up without her......I knwo how that feels and I would not wish that on any kid........The good news is they still have their dad and that makes a BIG difference...I had neither parent growing up and it was very difficult...I still have issues from that experience but try to put the past where it belongs.......*SIGH*.......Sorry didn't mean to get all melancholy on you all........
Hope you ladies have a wondermous Thursday......We have SNOW on the way!........At least I am off today....BUT I HAVE to do housework!.....This house is a mess!....LOL.....Love you all bunches and bunches!.......Thankf or letting me be me........ -
-
Yeah, Arnie, I'd cry too if I had to that!........I've got to go clean the KITCHEN!....YIKES!.........Now I'm gonna cry too!.....Wahhhhhhhhh!.......
-
Yah, but it looks so much cleaner with all the dark green put away....
As for the kitchen! Lucy, I personally give you permission to skip the kitchen and surf the internet instead!
-
All right calling ALL sisters!.....I just spoke to Kbugmom...She is not doing well at all!...She is having surgery tomorrow on her lung...They will deflate it then clot it, then reinflate it and put in a central ine so it can be drained every 3 days to give her quality time with her family........She really needs our prayers right now.....It is not good......She asked me to also send you all her love and she misses you (us) so much........Damn!...I HATE THIS DISEASE!.........
-
Still putting decorations away....wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Stopped to pray for Kbugmom! Bless her heart....
Barbe...I think I'm gonna take a week off from cleaning after this!!!!
-
Oh Lucy, I hate hearing that! She is firmly in my prayers now....it's getting crowded in here...
Arnie, I'm going to have my grand kids call me BaBa (Barbara) and my DH PaPa (Paul). I don't think Arnie would work for me. Is that okay with you? hehehehehehe
I've already started buying sleepers and tried to show them to the guys at work, but they don't get too excited. My DD says I can be there when she gives birth! What a gift...
-
When is she due?
-
I find out exactly this Friday. LOVE your new pic by the way!
-
lol...Barbe...Yes I love being the only "arnie" I know!!!! BaBa is cute....that's what Lilah calls her bottle...hehehe
Jane...agree with Barbe...your hair is coming in good!
I'm done!!!!! My feet are killing me but I'm done!!!!
-
Hi Arnie! Hi Barbe!
Lovely to "hear" you both, so perky and happy and bursting with grand kidletts and grand kidlet to be, grandmaman "joy mode"!! Just glad to see you both, and glad your are having a happy day!
Hollyann, hug, and prayers to Kbug too.
Coonie? where are you?? Got the kiddy pictures ,now if I can get to the post office!!
Hope all the bunnies are having a good day.
Loads of snow here, kids still have no school tomorrow, and more snow on the way!
I walked to the gp today in the snow (barely any cars around, feels like a Canadian village) everyone walking like pinguins trying not to fall over in the snow.. brill!
Had a chest xray done this a.m at the local hosp and now am being refered back to Onc for scan.(not due to xray- decided at the gp before going for xray- nothing alarming) Trying to fix my lemonette status. Probably turns out to be another lemonette "unglamorour thingy!"
xx hugs, thinking of you all

I am doing laundry, so no one else has to do any housework today or all weekend... It snowed a little bit, enough to make a pretty scene out the window and cover the bare bushes.
Barbe, as the time for baby's arrival gets closer, talk will be of a baby shower, probably. My first grandbaby to be is being "showered" on Feb 6. They register with Babies R Us, so you have an idea of the "theme" - ladybugs, with cute hamper, sheets, lamp, switch plate cover, etc. I am going to search for some bibs and a book or 2 also. Olivia is due the end of March.
We are trying to decide what to call me. Granny is ok, Ganny, and I really do not like Nannie, but I can get used to it. For Christmas they gave me a Grandma's Special Memories book to write things about me in - like a family history type of book.
Hugs for all. Blessings also, Nancy
-
Nancy, didn't know you could register for a baby shower! Gee things have changed in the last 29 years....sigh.
LOVE the name Olivia!
-
Isn't that the truth, barbe. I am wondering if someone is going to have a registry for divorces ... things to make going single easier ---- you can say you first heard it from me...!!!!
-
Barbe - again, contratulations. I know that you are so excited. Let us know the due date as soon as you know.
Nancy - contrats to you too - so obviously we're having a girl. Love the name Olivvia - heck, I named one of my cats Oliver!
I may have to do some laundry - I am carefully weighing this decision before I do anything drastic.
Faith - good to hear from you - I'll go over to the "new" thread.
Arnie - you do sound chipper - I love it. Stay away from anyone who even looks like thet're getting sick. BTW, if you are aching today from yesterday's chores - you did too much yesterday. Heck, one year my sister didn't take down her tree until July!
Lucy - So really sorry to hear kbug is not doing well. Thoughts and prayers for her.
I'm with Arnie - what happened to global warming?
When my aunt was going to be a gradmother for the first time she was reticient to admit she was old enough to be a grandmother so there was much discussion on what she wanted to be called. I suggested "granny" and she said no. I asked about Memaw and she said no (that was her mother). I suggested maybe grandmama - she said no. I said how about "Mom the Sequel" and she turned that down too. Finally I said "well I guess the kid will be calling you Mrs. Rendelman! P.S. her four grandchildren call her "granny."
Shiny - good for you taking care of YOU, along with everybody else. Stay warm.
I know I am missing someone but it isn't intentional - just swiss cheese brain (I can't even blame it on bc treatment). Rats!
Everyone stay warm and well.
-
Yeah, BOTH of those chins are cute, aren't they?
-
What double chin? You look gorgeous!
-
Thank you.
-
*SIGH*...No word on our Kbug yet.......I hate waiting to hear things......
Also I looked at my records form last February's mammo and my Birads was 3!......Also was suggested I come back in a couple of months or have a biopsy o fan area of skin thickening on my left breast!.....WTH????.......The nurse who calle dme said all was well and I only has a few specks of calcifications from fat necrosis!.........I am so angry!......I better not have a freakin' recurrence going on here!......I am going to be the one it never happens to..I pormised myself and my DD it would never happen again!.......Oh and it is colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra!.......Who turned off the HEAT???????...........Ok I'm thru ranting now...Thanks, y'all!....... -
Global warming my ass....
