Dream, how was your trip to Fla? Who did you see/meet?
-
Aw, y'all are so sweet!!! Thank you! My birthday is actually tomorrow. And then my DH's 50th birthday is Thursday. Then we leave on Friday for our flight to San Juan for our cruise. I am so excited!! This year is ending a hell of a lot better than it started that is for sure!! Of course I don't look like that picture anymore. Now I have a lovely 5 o'clock shadow on my head!!
I'm headed up to the hospital now but for good things. My mom got me an appt with the massage therapist in Physical Therapy for finishing chemo and the appt is today. It's cold and raining here. Yuck! Don't really want to head out, but this massage therapist is wonderful!! I had never had a massage before until a month ago. I'm a little achey from the Zometa (and the rain and the cold) so this will feel wonderful!! And thank God for a hospital with valet parking. I dont normally use it, but I sure will today!
I hope everybody has an awesome day wherever you are and whatever you are doing! Big ole hugs to all!!!!!
-
Sigh. Don't you just love doctors who "don't believe in" the symptoms you are reporting?? Swear to god, I'm gonna write a blog post one of these days called: TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!
Mary, have a fabulous birthday, hope your DH has a fabulous 50th, and both of you have a wonderful time on the cruise. Boy, do you need this or what???
Jayne & Arnie & fans of radiation everywhere, it's time to post once again a link to this page in my blog:
Hugs to all.
-
Awhhh MaryRose!!! Hope you and DH have wonderful birthdays and a great time on the cruise!!! I think we should all crash MaryRose's cruise. Can you imagine a boat full of BC women with hot flashes and hormonal imbalance?? LOL.....Might make the captain hit an iceburg or something
or just plain ole jump ship........hehe.
Thinking of all of you. It's good to see you pop in Dream. How was your trip? Hope you're feeling ok.
KAK!!! How are you gf? Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Love the pics of your dog and cat!! They're lucky to have you as "mom".
Jayne--I know you'll be so glad when treatment is done! Sending you big hugs!
Shinygirl!!!!! How are you ??? How are the wee ones? Sure hope everything is going ok. I still think you'd make a good president!! For ANY country!! You've got my vote sistah!

I think she'd love my pooches!
Arnie!!! DH said you sure were nice on the phone:) I told him I have sweet friends....especially my BCO sistahs! Sending hugs and prayers for you and DD. It's soooo hard to see our kids in pain.
Sharon Snookums!!! You know I wuv you and WBC
Faithie!! On the road again.....I thought about you on our drive in from Branson the other night. It was about a 8.5 hour road trip and I just don't like road trips AT ALL!! I'd much rather be in the air. I don't see how you do it. I'm so excited for your DD. I bet you cried, didn't you? My DD has about10 more "class" days this semester. She's starting her student teaching in January and is soooooo looking forward to it. I'm gonna order your new book to add to her collection. She loves giraffes too!
Thinking of all you bunnies today......Kathleen, EWB, Mum, Barbe, Cheryl, Lucy, Julz, MAK, Jaimeh, 2new1's, bkc, Lori, Nancy, Jane, PatMom, Dejaboo, Cathi, OhioDeb, Mom (sure missing you Mom) think of you often!!......shouldn't have started listing 'cause I'm probably forgetting somebody......not on purpose though.....my brain just ain't what it used to be

Texas Rose Mary!!
Happy Birthday Beautiful!!!
It is just a few hours shy of Wednesday here, so thought i'd get my bestest wishes out now, so I don't forget!! You are so beautiful and have shiny lovely eys and a great smile, so no short hair "style" is going to change that! Have a deviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine time and come and tell us all about it after. Have fun lovey!
Coonie, I pm'd you when I got your pictures (well after 1 week due to no internet for a week) Did you get it? You look like a sister to your girl!xx
Kids are wonderful, kept very busy indeed, up til 1 a.m making resources for DS and school last night. Neck bothering me, and nodes up for a while, waiting for things to subside..pls God. Isn't it anoying, don't want to go to my gp for a wee while longer, as it is probably due to the flue and flue jab, which has my remaining nodes working overtime.
I am in such a cooking and baking mood, but definitely not brill physically, and swamped so that is the only reason am less "on" at the moment. I do care and send vibes across the day to you all.
EBW, thinking of you and your mother. Send her my best. Want to send her a Xmas card, i'll check if I have the address again.
Arnie, hug to you and DD, Jayne get "them rads" out of the way girl!, Jane, healing vibes!
I am none too sharp tonight, hugs allround, no lists, just bestest peachiest vibes on the way to the whole bunny gang!!
Shiny
xx blessed you, all my dust bunny friends.
-
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Mary! (As Shiny said it is nearly tomorrow over here, so I am also sending my wishes now in case I forget. Gotta love chemo brain).
Happy 50th to Mary's DH. Hope you both have a wonderful time on your cruise.
Kathi I loved that Glowing in the dark link. I'm not quite there yet but give it time ...
Just popping in quickly before I head to bed. I'll catch up properly later.
Hugs to all. xoxoxoxo
-
Hey, don't fergit........#32 is Coonie's baby.
-
What is #32?
-
Happy Birthday Mary
Coonie~ Thank you for pulling me out of my funk.
I need to actually clean again...
The MIL comes up to stay with my kids in 52 days and yes it takes me that long to get anything done these days...lol.... I have been achey and everything hurts
which of course in my mind means bad, bad things. I am hoping that I can trust my body again one day
-
Kathleen, #32 is Coonie's duck boat where we travel all over the world in la la land. I think at this point only KAK can post the pic of her.
-
What do these women have in common? Lucille Ball, Hilary Rodham Clinton, Mother Teresa, Georgia O'Keeffe, Elizabeth Arden, Amelia Earhartt and Madame Curie:
None of them became famous doing housework!
-
Brilliant Kathleen. Brilliant!!
I'm home safe & sound.
FANTASTIC trip. Uneventful driving. Huge response from the teachers.
All of my 'technology' worked for the required 8 hours -- with an hour off for good behavior @ lunch time. Complete with carrot cake, my favorite. LOL
Big hit with my new book.
One more big-teacher-day, but I have a bit to recoop before then.
Tomorrow the wonder-peeps.
But I promise to sleep in -- best I can.
MaryRose. Best love & warmth for your cruise. Please take glorious pictures for us to live vicariously.

Oh, Coonie...how the heck is Dejaboo? I've to pm her?
Probably shouldn't even mention this but anyone here end up with radiation pneumonitis? I know OhioDeb has. I'm.afraid I may have it, too. Like asthma. I've got meds but I may need some tests. Can't stop coughing,it's a dry cough & I'm short of breath. Still have cording too. The fun never ends... -
Oh Sharon, I will definitely post #32 when I'm back on my regular computer. I'm posting from my cell phone lying in bed! Hey, Jane posted a link on FB about an actual bc survivors cruise! One of us will have to post it...gonna try to sleep now. The cough syrup seems to be working.
-
Thank you Sharon - I believe I have seen the Coonie's duck boat just don't remember #32.
Kak - I sure hope you don't have pneumonitis and glad the cough syrup is working. ((((HUGS))))
Faith - so happy the book is going well and even happier that Saint has rallied. You have been such a dear and precious friend to her.
To the rest of dust bunnies GOOD MORNING!
-
Texas Rose Mary,
Hope that your birthday is wonderful (hubby's too), and the cruise is relaxing. We'll miss you, but look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.
-
www.breastcancerwellness.org/cruise.html
I called today to inquire about the reservations. It is $250 to reserve a room. I think Genia and I are going to get an interior room for $581.02 pp. I'd love a balcony room, but I can't justify the extra cost right now. Besides, when DD and I went on our cruise a couple of years ago, we spent very little time in the room anyway.
OK....I just tried to drink my phone receiver instead of my bottle of water...I need help!
-
Mary Rose, please pack me in your suitcase... I have come to love travelling but have never been on a cruise. You have yourself a wonderful birthday and hubby toooo.
The trip was wonderful. I saw lots and lots of people - I cant name them all.... but here are some
Choca and her mother Mama Choca, Terry O and her friend Cathy and their friend Jack, Pinkisit and her daughter, Little Pink, NancyC, SueNY, Marlegal, DorisIN (my roomie), Jana, TerriCaroline, Pantherlinn, LauraVic, Labby, Mouse. Flash, Seddy, Armidillo, Coolbeans.... and some more that I cant put a face to....
I had a terrific time. The flights were wonderful. The day trips were nicely spaced for a gal who needed extra sleep. My roomie was the nicest person, so easy to get along with and a quilter too (by the way saw another cathedral window patch and it wasnt as nice as yours). I loved the dolphins. Too bad we didnt see more of them. I hope I was easy to get along with. It is so difficult to find your spot in the group that large.
-
TODAY is Mary's birthday: happy, happy, joy, joy, joy.
I've asked them to keep this cake in the fridge -- or until you get back.
I'm sure it will still be fresh:
-
Happy Birthday, Mary........Hope you have a wonderful day!.....
-
Mary? You having another birthday?
(Edit to explain, I thought it was the day before and had wished you H. B'day then.
)
Happy Birthday!!
I hope you and DH have a wonderful trip.
Safe (and fun) journey.
-
Just got off the phone with Saint. She's had extra-ordinary news. Her blood count has "maintained" for over a week since her last transfusion.
Let the prayers of celebration be written -- thanksgiving and joy.
-
Faith what brilliant news about Saint! Thanksgiving and joy in bucketloads.
-
MaryRose, I hope your birthday has been GRAND!! We'll be thinking 'bout you on that cruise!!! You deserve it after all you've been through this year. If you happen to see our #32 duck out in the waters, just give us a big ole wave
Hey Jaimeh!! It's good to see your post. I miss you when you're not posting. I think you've been around since the beginning huh? When Mom started us out? Please stick around. We've gotta support each other through all of this housekeeping business
Oh KAK!! My goodness gracious...I hope that cough clears up soon. Bless your heart!! You deserve a break TODAY!! I just LOVE your blogs. Just don't know what I read before I "met" you and Faithie. Talent----such talent!!
Dream!!!!! It sounds like you had a perfect trip. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself. It sounds like a very memorable trip.
Shinygirl!! I didn't get the PM, but Sharon DID tell me you had received my correspondence. You're sweet to tell me DD and I look like sisters. I'll gladly take the compliment, especially since there's 24 years difference in our ages ..... LOL. She IS my pride and joy! I made a quick dash to Walmart today, and as always, I thought about you.
Faithie!!!! So glad you made it home safe and sound and SOOOOO glad to hear the wondermous news of Saint's numbers being good!!! Thank you God!!
Hope all of you bunnies had a good Wednesday. Sending each and everyone a big ole hug!!!
