Jayne, when are you finished rads?
Gentle hugs.
-
Shiny - I like the way you phrase things! I hope you get lots of rest.
Arnie - Hang in there - on Monday we will celebrate big time!
Faith - I thought Arnie was done on the 9th too. Where did we get that? Prayers for Saint.
Kathi - can I hear it on the radio today? When my sister got a new computer I begged her to get sound hooked up - she spent a fortune and we still don't have sound.
Sharon - I love that picture!!!!!!!!!
Coonie - were you a cheerleader in your youth? You are very good at it! You are so uplifting and positive. Love ya.
-
Oh thank goodness.
A post from ARNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lights up my heart.
****The finish line above is simply brilliant.
We will have to collectively save that along with #32 -- for future reference.

Arnie, gentle hugs sistah!.....Here lean on me and let me help you cross that line.....
Shiny, get lots of rest, sweetie...Feel better...
Sharon, love the little doggie!.....lol
Coonie so glad to see you!....Did you get any of that Southern Snow last Saturday?.....We got a flurry or two but nothing to write home about.......
Jayne, almost to the finish line too!.....Here's a cheer for you...Hip Hip Hooray!.....Only a few more days!.....
To everyone I have missed I hope you have a great day and have lots of sunshine and warmth in your day.......I love you guys so much even though I haven't been around a lot....... -
Lucy - we love you too! It is little wonder you are not around much as you are back to work, for goodness sakes!
Mum - you are absolutely adorable!
Our snow has come and gone. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hi dust bunnies. I hope you are all having a good day.
Mum that's a great photo. I hope you are coping well in the snow storm.
Sharon it was good to have you in my back pocket yesterday; that must be why I breezed through my treatment. Like you I shut my eyes while the treatment is going on, I just don't want to see that machine moving into position to zap me. I am OK with it moving while the techs are in the room with me. Strange but it works for me.
Arnie I'm pleased to see you posting but sorry you are hurting. Hang in there, you are very nearly done.
Lucy how is your flu now? Take care of yourself.
I second what Coonie said about Kathi's essay for the radio. It is just amazing and so good to be able to hear her voice. Sorry Kathleen that you don't have sound on your computer so you wouldn't be able to listen to the link.
Shiny I hope you are all rested and feeling better. How is your sister?
I see that Saint posted on the Prayers, Blessings & Wishes thread that she is feeling better and hoping to go home tonight. Brilliant news!
Today I had treatment #7 of 15, so nearly half done. Thanks for all your good wishes. Today my neighbour, Carol, drove me there and we went for lunch and a bit of Christmas shopping afterwards. We had a good day. I am not burnt yet, but I expect I soon will be. At least after tomorrow I'll be on the home stretch.
-
Running out door so just a quick visit. Can someone let me know what the link is so I can hear KAK on my computer.
Hugs to all

Hi Dustbunny loveys!
Well this bunny has been a busy bee. My DS's school needs loads of imput and don't "get" my DDs abilities and how his disabilities really impact, they are so willing and positively smitten with him (he's a peach) but they've yet to get their head round the gist of his difficulties and indeed his abilities. I am spending most of my time at frequent "MMUs" (mini meet ups) with the staff informing supporting trouble shooting, elucidating.. then home to put in a document, to action, and make resources and ... bake of course, to keep everyone "on board". Yesterday we averted a near "calamity" as the school team had assumed that he coudn't "cope" with the class Xmass performance, when actually he would have been heart broken to have been excluded.
Anyhooooooo ladies, I do hold you dear in my heart and think of you even when I am not "on the boards". I am going to the gym 3 times a week without fail at the mo, which has a distinct impact on the overall state of the house but it is a good feeling to have commited to becoming stronger.
My sister is awaiting her core biopsy appts. I'm not quite right so will get some labs in January.
Loving the pics Sharon, will go to try and "hear you KAK" Barbe, hope you are better. Arnie, Jayne hug!
Sending mega hugs and the peachiest of Vibes to
all
my
dear
dustbunny
friends.

Sending you the biiiiiigest and bestest bestest bestest hugs I can muster up!!! Peeeeachy ones too!!!!
Hey Jayne...sounds like you had a nice day with your neighbor. So glad you're just about done!!! Maybe you won't experience too much burning. Sure hope you don't!!
Hey Vivvygirl....hope you're doing wondermous! You can see Kak's link on the page before this one. I tried to copy, but I'm a little on the loonie side.......LOL. Couldn't copy it, but it IS on page 328 of this thread. You'll enjoy it!!!
Lucy!!! We DID get some snow!! It was beautiful too. It didn't last long, but we enjoyed it while it was here. Hope you're doing well!! I bet you're busy at work, huh?
LOL Kathleen....I actually was a cheerleader, hehe.....ummm, let's see...........'bout 35 years ago
It's just a faint.....VERY faint memory. .. LOL
BIG hugs to all you bunnies!!! Hope your day is going wondermous!!!!!!

I started a new thread on Moving Beyon Breast Cancer called My Holiday Wishes......It is for all to post what they wish most for this holiday season......
Shiny that is discrimination!...They should allow him in no matter what!........SHAME on them!......
Coonie I am so jealous!......I want snow....(in a pouty voice).....=(
Can't get KAK's line to work for me.....Not her fault...My puter is acting up.....
I am having problems on my SNB side....Right on the back of my arm....It burns and feels swollen....What should I do besides icing?........HELP!....lol.... -
You do NOT want snow Lucy! I had to stay home on Wednesday and use up my Christmas Day stat holiday credit! Couldn't get out of the block!
-
Stayed home and did.......wait for it......HOUSEWORK!
-
-
Thanks Kathleen! It feels great....really!
-
Lucy, I'd be a little concerned about that arm. You may have lymphedema. Not to be an alarmist but you should have it seen to. Until you can get an appt. with a qualified LE therapist you need to take it easy on that arm, stay well hydrated and keep it elevated whenever possible.
-
Happy diagnosis day, Barbe. I have passed my one year surgery day, so I too am celebrating. Do I call it a "surgeryversary" ?? If that isn't a mouthful... Hugs for all, Nancy
-
Barbe??? Seriously????? Housework on a 'snow day' -- my goodness, girlie.
Congrats to all for reaching milestones of one sort or another today.
Congrats to our two going thru rads and nearing the finish line.
Congrats to all who battle on with side effects -- physical & mental.
Congrats to KAK for getting her experience 'VOICED'...... I have yet to hear & may give myself that treat for a birthday present.......... just as soon as I can find a computer that links.
Congrats, congrats, congrats.
Mary????? Where are the pictures?????

Okay, so don't do this at your home. I looked up from my computer into the corner. Never, ever do that. I have cobwebs!
I have never even seen a cob, but they continue to leave webs! So here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to throw my housecoat up into the corner and let it drop down onto my desk. Can't reach it otherwise. Like all good women on this thread I don't even own a broom or swiffer that would reach! I'll let you know how it goes in a second....
Worked like a charm!!! Can I count that as my housework for the day? I'm trying to avoid grouting the rest of the backsplash in the kitchen...can yah tell? I always end up working on my days "off". Sheesh.
-
Of course, Barbe, that counts big time... You know those hanging down dust strings, not actual webs? A friend used to call them "flags", so I told her I was patriotic and liked flags. Second cup of coffee and I may have to do more laundry today. Keep smiling.
-
Oh Shiny - how stoopid are these people?
Been where you are and it is frustrating, especially since these people are suppose to be the experts. Hugs to you, hand-smack to the back of the head for them. Hang in there sweetie.
Barbe, have I told you lately how much I love you? Sorry for the housework, snow and invisible cobs, hugs for anniversaries.
Lucy and everyone having side effects - very gentle hugs.
Jayne and Arnie - the finish line is in sight.... we're waiting for you ready to celebrate!
-
I had to use a long-handled cat toy to reach my webs the other day. I, too, was snowed in on Wednesday. I folded laundry and changed the sheets on my bed.
-
Help please. For the life of me I cannot find the link to KAK's radio debut.
-
I found it............
.............WOW KAK!!! Beautifully said.
-
Sharon, so glad you found it!!!
Hey KAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been reading your blog today!! I LOVE the part about "enthusiastic session of suck-face"......made me LAUGH ........LOLOLOLOL!!!! You should write a book! Really, I'm serious!!! Your blog is so interesting and easy reading. It's like you're brilliant, but even "I" can understand what you're talking about...LOL. You go girlfriend!!! Hope that cough is better!
Hugs to all you bunnies!!! Hope you have a wondermous weekend!!!
OH! Edit to add: You were a beautiful little girl KAK......you haven't changed at all!
-
Thanks Sharon, I will do just that and keep my slf hydrated and elevated....It actually feels better today so I am thinking dehydration made my arm feel that way cause I have been drinking like a camel and it feels much better.......I also will try to ice it in a minute.......
Barbe!...I had to laugh at the housecoat in the air........I have cobwebs too and in all my born days I have yet to see a cob!......The only one I have ever seen had corn on it!...LOL......I use my mop and my hubby's long arms to get mine down.......Or should I say hubby uses the mop and HIS long arms!...lol......
I worked from 7am to 3 pm and what did I do when I got home?.......HOUSEWORK!......Sheesh!.....Does it never end?...... -
Coonie, saw this laughed and thought of you!!!
Lucy, Take it easy and look after yourself. Just when you think all has settled down along comes another thing.
Shiny, Thanks for the link to KAK's big moment.
KAK, Loved hearing your voice but wasn't how I thought you would sound. You sounded so much better.
To all my other dustbunny friends ( I won't list you all because I will forget because I am just about to go to bed) lots of great vibes and healing coming your way.
Hugs
Viv
-
Hi Lucy, glad your arm feels better. If you do suspect lymphedema beware of extreme cold or heat.......anything that increases the blood flow to the area may not be a good thing.
-
While I love all animals I have to admit I don't get the same warm and fuzzy feeling from bugs. I wish them no ill will but they have to vacate the premises.
