Kak and Faithie, congratulations to you both!......WOW a book finally for Faith ( I want a copy BTW for my sister's grands) and KAK is a radio personality!.........I am honored ot be in your presence....LOL....
Having a hard time typing so if I am AWOL I am still lurking.....Found out today my wrist isn't broken but it isn't sprained either......Doc thinks I may have torn a ligament that is akin to the meniscus in your knee....All I know is that it hurts like the dickens!....Keep me in your prayers that I heal quickly....Love you all.......And keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers..... -
Will do Lucy...(((Lucy))). How are you taking care of your hand......wrapped, cast? You should be extra careful, especially in your type of work
Hugs and hope you feel better soon:)
-
Thanks, Coonie...The doc put me in a brace for the day time and I am on Diclofenac for swelling...I will be very careful at work.......
-
Just wanted all of my dear bunnies to know that I have school visits the next two days.... twill need to hit the road early, and didn't want anyone to be concerned.
Everyone take care of each other.
Hugs to each & all.

Lucy ... feel better soon. The brace sounds like a great solution until then. Prayers for a quick recovery. When I first had the shoulder replacement it hurt so much trying to type so I emphathize with you.
Coonie ... how's the world treating ya?
Arnie ... here's to sailing through rads. How are Trent and Lilah? I got my "kid fix" Saturday when I went to Ethan's 9th birthday party. With all my aches and pains it is just way too far to drive into Damascus, MD by myself so I have to wait until my sister is available.
Faith ... safe travels and congratulations on the book!
Kathi ... I am also impressed - a radio personality! Congratulations!!!!!
-
Good morning Kathleen----the world's treating me pretty good so far. But it's still early and I haven't gotten out yet, so I'll let you know again later
-

Holy Moly it seems like the world is going crazy...what is it about this time of year? Hugs to everyone, safe travel to anyone traveling (I think Faith)

Update on our dear Hannah....She breezed through surgery and was in a lot of pain after but she is home and doing well last I spoke to her Nana...I am going to try to call her tonoght or tomorrow night to get another update.......Hopefully they know more by then.....Also her lymph nodes had shrunk a whole lot due to chemo so they just took out a clump of them without counting them first.......Hopefully this is Hannah's last surgery........
Edited to add: Can't take Diclofenac as I have a history of anemia and I have Colonic Diverticulosis.......SIGH...Maybe I will find something else.......

Just wanted to let you know...Our dear FlaLady passed yesterday at 10 pm........So sad!.....This is 4 we have lost in less than 3 weeks..........I HATE CANCER!.........
Dear Lord, Show us mercy and send us the cure for cancer!.......In Jesus' Name...Amen
-
Hey Lucy....I had seen that about FlaLady passing. It's so sad to lose another sister.
Arnie---girlfriend, I'm so glad you've got your schedule to get started. Not GLAD that you're getting radiation, but just glad the sooner you start, the sooner you can be done!!! Hopefully, they can get you on a morning routine. I always hate going to the doctor late in the day. It just messes up everything.
Has anyone heard from MUM? Sure hope she comes back with some good news. I've got my happy dance ready. We NEED good news on these boards!!!
Thinking of you all and hoping you're having a wondermous Wednesday!!!
Where is SHARON??? Sharon??? You out there? Whatcha got cooking today? Think I might cook a chilli for supper. Not really cold here, but it is cooler.
((((((((((huggies to ya all))))))))))))

Yea Mum! Good news to celebrate - way to go!!!
Coonie - love the dancing granny!
-
Mum that's wonderful news! Congrats to you.
-
Jayne. Great to see you!!
MUM. Yet more dancin' feet for you:
Last night I went over to spend the evening with our grands: WB & da babeez and they went into a frenzy of dancing to send me out the door. Now I need to figure out how to run a video camera. Seeing little missy-pip-pants, twirling in a circle, with her arms stretched out behind her & the occasional shimmy was just a stitch.
In any case. It's fantastic to have some good news to celebrate!!
Arnie. I hadn't heard of getting the 'boosts' at the beginning??? There's always something new.

Hello Dust Bunnies.
I have been in chemo land for the last week or so but I have still checked in and tried to follow how you are all getting on. You ladies always put a smile on my face.
Faith HUGE congratulations on your picture book. It sounds totally amazing.
Nancy I love Greek food too and sometimes cook it at home. I would have come to your classes. I don't eat meat but there is plenty with fish or veggies for me to choose from. I make a veggie Moussaka that goes down well.
Lucy I hope your hand feels better soon, take it easy.
Arnie it's good to hear that your simulation and tattoos went well. I will be very interested to follow how the rest of your rads treatment goes.
Shiny you are a terrific Mum, your kids are so lucky to have you. Hope your pain goes away soon. Don't give yourself a hard time; just enjoy that break with your DD.
Kathi, our radio star, glad you feel better without the tamox and effexor. Hope your energy level is soon back where you would like it to be.
Viv love the kitties in the sink!
Oh no, I didn't mean to start a list!
Coonie, Elaine, Sharon, Jaimieh, Kathleen, Barbe, Jane, Linda, Julz and all the other dust bunnies I have not mentioned due to my chemo addled brain, you are all in my heart.
Today I met with my onc; we talked about radiation and I signed the consent form. I am feeling much better today so DH and I went out for lunch. I still have one more round of chemo to do, which is due next Thursday. I am hoping this one will not have to be delayed like the last 2. Then I will wait a few weeks and start rads. I am also due to start some form of hormone treatment, possibly the dreaded Tamoxifen, round about the same time. With luck I will have finished rads by Christmas.
Hugs to all Dust Bunnies. xoxoxoxo
-
Hey Jayne!!! It's so good to see you're nearing the end of chemo. Hopefully, you'll be done before the holidays. Were you blood counts down for your recent treatments? You mentioned they had to postpone???
Faithie----------you just GOTTA learn to video those kids dancing. I bet it's so cute. Love love love kiddos dancing around...
-
Hi Coonie, my 4th round of chemo was delayed because I got shingles and I was taking anti-viral meds for it. I had to wait until I finished the anti-virals before I could start taking the steroids I need to start the day before I have chemo.
Then round 5 was delayed because I got quite bad oral thrush from round 4(could hardly open my mouth, drinking soup through a straw). My chemo nurse and onc didn't like the look of me and wanted me to take an extra week so I would be fitter before the Taxotere went iinto my system and knocked me down again.
Both times were good in one way, because I had some extra days of feeling good and getting caught up on things in the house and garden. This time I was able to get on top of the thrush a lot more, I got the meds ready in advance. So I am hopeful that my final round of chemo will go ahead on schedule. I really want it to be over now.
Mary how are things with you?
xoxoxoxoxo
-
(((Jayne))) My goodness, you have been through so much. My prayers to you for an uneventful last chemo. Lots of hugs coming your way!
For all the ladies who have done chemo and/or rads and STILL doing housework are awesome.
