Lucy, if it's your wrist on the affected side be careful with ace banadaging.
-
Sharon - excellent point - I didn't even think about that! As my grandma used to say, two heads are better than one, even if one is a cabbage head (me).
-
My DH is pretty good when I have my meltdowns too. I have about one a year. I know it scares him a little bit, as I didn't even cry with my cancer diagnosis, so he knows to be gentle. It's always something really little and stupid that sets it off, too. Nothing big, those I can handle, but the little bits of shit just put me over the top...sigh.
I'm going duck hunting!
-
My brain these days:
-
Looks like Barbe got her duck.........LOL
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
I remember that one from a LONG time ago......
-
Once upon a time, many, many pages ago.....
-
-
Barbe are you serious you are going to shoot these beautiful birds. My husband spends all morning shooting them but with a camera. But I do like to eat duck.
-
-
I HATE both duck and goose to eat! Way too greasy for me...
I'm hunting a wooden swan with Sharon in it....which my "friends" insist on calling a duck! This is like the McCaws and the McDingles feud or whatever.....
-
HE HE HA HA
Better becareful Sharon.
-
-
I ain't hunting wabbits....I'm hunting you!
-
There is an excellent restaurant near me that serves Peking Duck. The walls are filled with photos of dignitaries, including Presidents, who have dined there. They grow their own onions, scallions, for garnishing. It is not all that greasy, but the cholesterol count has to be high.
The senior center has a mother goose type figurine - more like a large statue. Every month someone decorates it with an outfit. My embellished bra with pink ribbons and sequins is on it this month. They are interested in having a craft class to make them and raffle off to raise funds for the center. The sewing circle is very active and makes lots of things for the annual bazaar, which was held last weekend. I suggested having a section with the bras - next year - , to call attention to BC awareness and the importance of mammograms in overall women's health. It looks like I may be "elected' to head up this project...
My apartment looks like a bomb hit - stuff is piled on my dining table and I am in the process of weeding thru the summer clothes to donate those I can't wear any more and those I have no idea why I ever bought - you know - a bargain at the time, but never worn... Then it will be go thru the winter stuff and see what else gets put on the pile. The women's shelter has a clothing closet, which is a good place to donate the clothes. Please don't kick me off this thread, because I am really doing a good thing here !!!! Hugs, Nancy

Hey Sharon if you think that was a Hoot! Check this out! I caught our Coonie doing some house cleaning!!!! Well I think she was house cleaning???? LOL!!!! Maybe more like cleaning the House Out! hahahaha
-
Hahaha, I think she's just taking it out to shake it? Obviously she's been exercising though cause she can fit through that small door.
-
Tee Hee! Looking good indeed! But then again maybe she has been secretly going through the Doggie door all along & didn't tell US! I just happen to see it with my Own eyes! Maybe thats her secret to staying in shape! All though she has got to get better Snacks! YUK! Gotta go get some sleep....Maybe you can find something better for her Diet!!!! He he hehehe Later!
-
Okay I was thinking of all of you today as I put off doing my housework. Let's see since I last posted: lost my implants
, went on vacation to Disney
, and I actually did do some cleaning last week. I need to start again the house is a mess....
The laundry is taking over my laundry shoot and I don't want to do a darn thing ...again....
-
Barbe - I think it is the McCoys and the Hatfields.
Nancy - You certainly won't be kicked off but you've been warned.
Don't let friends do this. Stamp out ironing!!
-
I did the first post on the wrong page.
So that's what Coonie is up.
True story - our neighbor came into her kitchen one morning to find that raccoons had entered the house through the kitty door, jumped up on her counters and ate all the brownies she had baked and barfed all over her kitchen floor!
-
Thanks Kathleen I do know what you mean! Danged if I could remember the names! hehehehe
Jaimie, I think the full laundry shute constitutes a fire hazard. That is a man's job: you know, fire alarms, sensors and stuff like that....
-
Kathleen, does that mean the brownies were no good?
Bad Coonie.

Hellooooo Luveys!!!!
Am in bed, pain meds starting to work, not sure what is wrong, but as long as it passes, hopefully before the weekend as we are off to Derbyshire for a family wedding. Working non stop it seems, like lots of you am sure. Cleaning, cooking and Special needs stuff and then more again. I do love my maman job, but I sure am not built for it (physically) anymore, whew!
OK, I have come here tonight really for a good confession and slapping from you girls..
As the special needs co ordinator was sooo plainly overwhelmed and understaffed last week, I ended up taking on some jobs to help, then DH had to work all week end, so this a.m, having had a rare reasonable sleep, I got cracking on the work, and didn't let up all day. Delivered some of the work and picked up DS, feeling pretty good at this point, despite pain starting. Went to pick up daughter, on the way home I say to her, so what did you do today? "Well, we did our HArvest Assembly". OMG...OMG...I got the days muddled up, somehow and I Missed her Harvest Assembly!! Now ladies, I am keeping things in perspective, but as she is such a sweety, she just said, "it's Ok mummy, you just forget things when you have to many jobs to do""I thought I coudn't see you". So there you have it..please slap me! I need punishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From the "not very Shiny bunny"
ps: I am going to beg with the school to let me stand in, bribe them if I can when they do it again for the reception children. I don't think they will let me but I will try.
Feeling blessed blessed blessed non the less, for my brilliant kiddos and all the good around, including you ladies. Thinking of you and your many much more chalanging woes! Take care, but give me "what for" I did bad.
xx
-
ps: sod my poor spelling!!!!
-
Oh Shiny, gentlest of hugs. You've got so much going on........
-
Hugs to you Shiny. Like Sharon said, you 've got so much going on!
Love the raccoon utube clip. Too funny!
-
MAK,SHARON!!! Now that is NOTTTTT what I call a "seeing to" or a giving me "what for" or a "telling off" of what ever, you need to be harsh with me, I do feel rotten for this, come on!!! let me have it!!
Bless you anyhow, but still, you are my friends, you can tell me off!
Anyhooo, tomorrow is another day, an other oportunity, and I am going to do well by my dearest Daughter.
xx
