Faith- I literally LOL'd at your comment about me "making it over to the other side". I'm not ready to go THERE yet!!
Just teasing you! I thought it was hysterical!! Enjoy your trip!!
Coonie- Thanks for understanding. I guess we expect to life to instantly be wonderful as soon as chemo is over and it sure hasn't been. But it's been good. And it gets better everyday. Guess I just need time to learn to live with my "new normal".
Cheryl- CONGRATULATIONS on your cancerversary!!!!! Do something wonderful for yourself today. And thanks for understanding too. I love this place. I can't even put into words how I am feeling but it's okay because all of you understand exactly.
LOVE the fall centerpiece. My cats would destroy it in 15 seconds or less.
I actually have a fall centerpiece, but I have to put it outside on the patio table. LOL
It's a beautiful day here. I have tons of cleaning I should be doing being 8 months behind in my life, but I think I am going to work in my scrapbook room today. I have that Ferris Bueller feeling..."You can't possibly expect me to work on a day like today." Except I think Ferris said school, but I'm long past school.
Hope everybody has a great day!! Do something you love!!
Mary

Oops...
Deb- Congrats to you too on your cancerversary!!!
And Kathleen- Belated congrats to you for your October 3rd cancerversary!!!!
-
Elaine glad to hear your Mom is doing well. It's lovely that you 2 have such a good relationship and are able to do things together.
Mary happy deporting day on Monday.
Kathleen good news on your range of motion, here's hoping the strength is soon back. In a way I can identify with that because after my mastectomy I definitely got my range of motion back before I had anything like the strength I used to have in my arm. It surprised me a bit, where does it go?
Coonie almost a ponytail, wow! There's something for me to aim for
Viv I know just what you mean about your brain thinks it can do more than your body can, very frustrating. Take it easy, you've got a heatwave to prepare for.
Congratulations Cheryl and OH Deb on 1 year cancerversaries.
Kathleen belated congrats for 3rd October.
Hugs to all xoxoxoxo -
Oh dearie, me-oh-my.
Mary, will you ever forgive me? Laughing-out-loud indeed!
I'm so glad that you know me well enough to know that I can be an absolute 'loon' at times.
Re-reading my comment, I see there's room for it to be taken out of context.
For Pete's sake, I'd better learn to reread and think before hitting "submit" even when I'm tired.
It's so good that you found some laughter in the words on the screen.
I'm VERY thrilled that you're still on this side of the innter-planetary system of earth. LOL.
I meant something about being completely over to the side of "been there/done that" and wow, am I impressed with how strong I am as a result.
Hugs, laughter, and more hugs.
xx00xx00xx
Back to my paperwork!
Still laughing at you laughing at me!!

Cheryl, OHDeb, and Kathleen.....HAPPY CANCERVERSARY!!!!!!..........My sister's 3rd was August 18th or somewhere near there......My third is comng up in January......WOW! I am amazed it has been so long.......Time flies when you're having fun and you guys always make me smile!....
Faith have a wonderul trip and enjoy those fall colors.........
To all my dust bunnies, I don't know what I would do without you all.....(((((((Dust Bunnies)))))
Kbug, was it you who wanted the patterns for the Crochet Stockings for Christmas?..... -
Jayne- Unfortunately the BS office called this morning and rescheduled my port removal for Wednesday, so I will have to live with it for two more days. How are you doing? You are in my prayers. I know it's rough, but you are almost done aren't you?
Faith- I'm still giggling!! I needed that laugh today! You know I love ya!! It was just too funny to pass up!!
I did get super great news today...I am going to do the bisphosphonates trial and I was really hoping that I would get the Zometa arm because it's an infusion once a month for six months and then one every 3 months for 2-1/2 years. The arms that are pills you take a daily pill for three years and have to sit up or stand and fast for 30 minutes (some say an hour). I so did not want to do that! I NEED my coffee the second my eyes open. Anyway, just got the news that I was randomized into the Zometa arm! I am so happy!! People can't understand why I would want another infusion, but I would rather do that than take the pills. One hour long infusion and I'm done for the month and then it will go to every 3 months. Yeah!!! Very good news for me!!
Hugs, Mary

Congrats Mary!......
Faith, love the pic of the babeez!......... -
That IS great news Mary! Funny what we consider "good news" now adays, isn't it....sigh.

CANCERVERSARIES I say we do celebrate strange things.I'l drink to that.

I do not know if I should continue on this thread any more. Not only have I been too tired to keep up but my housekeeping is being taken over by other people. I lift not a finger towards the dishes, the laundry etc.... well thats the plan as of Dec 1:
Now my showers are being planned - scheduled. I didnt think I smelled bad. Did you smell anything? I swim on Sundays, bath on Tueday aft with the PSW washing dishes then cleaning the bathroom. My housekeeper comes every other Wednesday, cleaning kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom. She also makes my bed with clean sheets. On Friday, another PSW comes to clean my laundry and I take another shower and she cleans the bathroom. Its gonna make bathroom beautiful and I am gonna need more towels.
I lost this thread not realizing that I was bright enough to mark it as one of my favourites simply because I could never remember where it was. Silly me.
-
Stick with us Dream Sounds like you are being well taken care of. Good to hear from you.
-
Today at PT they tried to pull my arm out of its socket!
The podiatrist gave me some kind of cream (BioFreeze) when I complained about pain running up the outside of my shin (said its nerve pain). I put it on as soon as I got home and it must have something in it that smells like catnip. My cat is attacking me./ He was pawing at me and trying to bite me!
You can bet I will be using that cream on other things - how long has this been out there and why didn't I know about it?!
Congrats Mary.
Lucy - how are you? I tried crocheting the other day and it was like I was all thumbs. I don't know if it has to do with the carpel tunnel or the diabetic neuropathy. I am going to try again soon. I want to get as good as you - everytime I look at that doiley, I think of your generous and giving spirit.
-
BioFreeze is our friend.
Love that stuff.
Used it when I mucked up my back a year or so ago.......
Helped me get from therapy to healed.
But we don't have a cat -- so that wasn't an issue for me.
-
Dream, I don't know if you've noticed, but we seem to be sharing ways to avoid housework as much as we do housework around here. You are a great inspiration in that direction, and it is always good to see your posts. Please keep posting here.
-
Hey Bunnies---it's so good to see all of you.
Mary, sorry your deportation was bumped back a couple of days. There's a reason I guess.
Jayne and Arnie---you girls take care of yourselves
I had to take my oldest dog (Lucky) to the emergency clinic tonight. Two days ago, I
took him in because he was limping with front shoulder and neck trouble. Doc seems
to think it might be arthritis. Got a cortisone shot. Well, today he can hardly walk,
he's panting really fast, whining. Now they're THINKING it's tummy problems. Some of the
meds/shots could cause stomach ache, so now we're giving him something for his tummy.
whewwwwwwwww....he's 14 1/2 years old....he's my boy...
-
OH Coonie....I'm scared for him! I hate when animals get sick. We have one of our 3 cats bleeding right now, but we don't know which one, and from where! There is blood in front of the fireplace....
-
Oh Thanks Barbe!!! Lucky slept good last night. He seems to be more comfortable.
I sure hope your cat is better. Do cats bleed when they are in heat? Could it be that?
I sure hope it's nothing serious. My dogs are like my kids!!! It upsets me so much when
they're not feeling well. They're getting so old too----for dogs, that is. 14.5 and 13. <sigh>
Faithie---I'm honored to be able to support you for your walk on Sunday. You go get'em girlfriend.
The pic of the wittie twinsies is sooooooo adorable cleaning house!!!!!!! That pic should be at the
top of our page of this thread. CUTE CUTE CUTE!!! You are BLESSED!!
Hugs to all of you this morning. I hope you all have a great weekend.

I wish you all a blessed day and lots of hugs.
Hope you have a smagnificent Saturday........LOL
-
Coonie I'm glad Lucky is more comfortable now, I hope he stays that way. I agree it is awful when animals are sick.
Barbe I have had that mystery blood thing before with our cats, trying to find out which one it is coming from. We only have 2 to choose from so that has to be easier. I hope it is nothing serious.
Wishing all the Dust Bunnies a wonderful weekend.
-
Coonie and Barbe -- this is very distressing news. Poor little fur people. It is just heartbreaking to see them sick. Glad Lucky is feeling a little better. I pray that he recovers very quickly. When I had multiple cats it was distressing, to say the least, when something was wrong with one of them and you just didn't know which one. I pray you find out soon and it is something that is easily fixed

Prayers and good thoughts for all the furbabies! We don't have any children, so our cats are our family. I just hate it when one of them is sick. Sending good pet health vibes to Coonie and Barbe!!
Another beautiful day here in Central Texas. I am headed outside. Well, after I shower and get dressed. Yes, it almost noon here and I am not dressed yet. DH plays golf on Saturday mornings, so I laze around and do basically nothing.
Happy weekend to all!
-
Mary. I'm glad to hear that you had a morning to allow yourself to relax.
Our hubbies could be golf buddies. I'm sure that your guy has a much longer season than mine. He's itching to get to FL..... the season for golf in OH is primarily a memory at this point. He may find a nice "Indian Summer" afternoon yet ahead.
Hugs to each and all......
Especially Arnie & Jayne.
xx00xx00xx00xx
I actually worked for HOURS today -- tho technically not a bit of 'housework' -- just work from my house. LOL.
We walk in the morning for "Strides Against BC" hoping for a break in all of this rain.
-
Faith- DH golfs all year here. There are some cold winter weekends he can't play, but he doesn't miss many. He is obsessed with playing golf! He has plenty of cold weather clothes to play in. I have seen them play when there is snow on the ground. They say it's not bad- you just have to use a colored ball so you can see it. I think he's nuts. LOL Good luck with your walk!!
-
Well, now there is drops of blood on our sofa....I've been checking where they sit as I see the cats tonight, but haven't found the bleeder.
Years ago when we still have 4 cats, one was sick and the vet wanted a stool sample. I told her we had 2 litter boxes and 4 cats. I'd bring in both boxes and let her figure out which sample was who's!
-
Hi dust bunnies, talk about not cleaning good, I found an old pair of poo poo panties under the guest bed where the granddaughter hid them. I was hunting everywhere for a book the library says I didn't return. What a shocker. I need to look under my beds more often. Hope all are doing well
Arnie, hope you are back to your normal self.
I spoke with Lucy on the phone last night and if she is not on for a few days don't worry about her she is on a trip to have a little fun. Wishing her a good, fun, safe trip.
Those that clean keep on cleaning those that don't join me in a cup of coffee. LOL
-
I forgot, Faith, I will be there beside you in my heart. Be careful and enjoy the walk. I am so proud of you. Emily still is glowing about her book. It is beautifully done.
-
Hi ladies,
Just checking in. Been a while. been very busy with kids and work and just stuff. Never enough time in the day. I hope everyone is doing well.
Don't want to bring anyone down but if you guys could pray for my brother Sam I would appreciate it. He has had a recurrence of throat cancer and they think the cancer may have spread to his lungs. He had A biopsy on Wednesday and a feeding tube inserted and is back at home. I visited with him today for a few hours. He is very weak and very tired in alot of pain but still in good spirits. I just I felt like he was telling me goodbye today and I am trying to I don't know just trying to deal with this. sometimes I just want to scream at the top of my lungs!
Bet the neighbors wouldn't take kindly to that at this time of night. Guess i should quit rambling and post this if I'm going to.
-
{{{{{{{{{{{{{ bkc }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} He is now in my prayers.

((((((((((((((((((Sam)))))))))))))))))))
I'm up & showered & about ready to get "pinked-up" for this morning's walk.
Hope to get some pics to share.

hugs, (((sam and bkc)))). My son and DIL did the Walk to Fight BC yesterday. The rain held off until we were in the car heading for brunch. We did 3.5 K and today every bone in my body aches, but I did it. A friend gave me the most adorable pale pink ribbon pin with sneakers at the end of the "tail" of the ribbons. I me one lady who is a 27 year survivor. 1300 participated, but that did not count the dogs who accompanied their owners.
Kind of funny - we were keeping pace with a young couple who had a bull dog with them. The dog began to slow down and finally just laid down on the street and totally REFUSED to move. I can say that I outlasted a bull dog...!!!!
Today there are several of us from the area meeting for Messican food at noon. The Northern Virginia thread has details and probably pictures later. Have a super duper day and of course NO housework. HUGS, Nancy
