Morning houseworklesses..........my humble opinion is that Kathleen.........you stay off that foot as much as possible for 10 weeks. At least NO housework duties for you for that long.
-
Sharon and Linda - thank you, I think I will take your advice. See, it didn't take much to convince me!
-
Kathleen, that's why we all do so well on this thread! I think I am going to head to Cape Cod today, no cleaning for me!
-
-
Ohhhhh Linda... I'm packing my bags... would love to go to the Cape!
Kathleen!!!! ((((((((hugs)))))))))) So glad to see you back where you belong!!!!
Well, I finally might have gotten an answer to why I've been in so much pain, my onocologist yesterday stated he thinks my diverticulitis is in full inflamation... so he gave me some antibiotics. I'm just praying this is the answer... Thank you for all the prayers recently!
I promised my guys I'd make my swedish meat pies today........sooooo just trying to get motivated! lol That will be my housework quota for today....hehehehe
Ok... I think we need to send out a search party for mom... she's been MIA far tooooooooooooo long...
-
Vivvygirl -- thank you. Your support is appreciated!
Arnie - I feel just like that woman in your picture before coffee. What is Mom's full avatar so I can send for the posse?
-
Mak I have never been to cape cod pls take some photos.
Arnie what is the ingredient that makes the meatpies swedish?
-
Hey km... it's mom2two... I'm getting realllllllllly concerned... I pm'd her a couple of times and she hasn't responded
MOM...WHERE ARE YOU?????
-
Didn't someone here call Mom a while back. Something about company visiting. Sheesh, how long does company stay these days?
Arnie, sorry about the diverticulitus and hopefully it's under control soon. The fun just doesn't end does it?
-
-
love those pink puppy bellies, so sweet.
Hugs to everyone. hang out long enough and you learn a thing or two....not the least of which is that there's a lot of support here... girls ready to hunt down the bad guys (with shovels), search for the missing, hug the sadness away, kiss the booboos and stand with you to stare down the enemy.
It is so much more than shirking the house work...for this I am eternally grateful and feel truely blessed to be with you all....
-
Oh crap--ladies- need prayers...Mom has an absess, dr is trying to find out what is causing it and believes there is a good chance its cancer...she has an MRI next week and later in August some kind of procedure/ biopsy to figure out whats going on and what it is (similar to colonoscopy I think).
She is keeping this quiet- if she didn't need a ride, I wouldn't know about it... so brother and sister (& spouses) don't know anything. I guess it makes sense to wait until she knows whats going on and what to tell them...thats what we did when I was dxed.
I guess this makes my last post all the more ......something- don't know what words to use.
-
Loonie Coonie here and accounted for.
(((((((((((EWB)))))))) I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Bless her heart!! She's been through it lately........and so have you!! I'm sending you extra hugs and prayers!!!
Kathleen!!!!!!!!! You dont' know how good it makes me feel to see you posting again. I missed you and worried about you so much!! You can't ever go away again!!! Welcome home!!!!
Maybe we should start another food fight so mom will show up. I think that got her attention last time.
Kinda busy today.....at work again. (((((((((((((((((hugs to all my bunny friends)))))))))
-
So sorry to read about your mom, EWB. Let's hope it's something not cancer that can be treated easily. Hugs
-
Ah Elaine! So tough to feel helpless, but her letting you know is pretty remarkable....she could have taken a cab.....
Arnie, I pray the antibiotics are helping you....{{{{{{{{ hugs }}}}}}}}}}}
Diagnosis: perfusion defect. A blockage of blood to part of my kidney that then goes into spasms. VERY painful, but I'd share my narcotics with you arnie, if you want to come over....
May go home in the next day or two and then try to salvage my job....sigh.
-
Good afternoon ladies.
Sorry to hear about your mom EWB. I will remember her in my prayers. Barbe, hope that you are feeling better today, as well as Arnie and that they get to the root of your problems. It is so beautiful here in NY today after rain yesterday. I just got together with friends this morning to have a wedding breakfast (second wedding for her!) for one of my friends. So, I have already had my round of Mimosas and feeling just fine! Her wedding is on the beach on Sunday, so I am looking forward to that. (Although I still have my drain!!!) Coonie-I don't think this drain is ever coming out. I just can't seem to sit still. I think I am going to have to get you over here and you and my plastic surgeon can tie me to my bed because he keeps telling me the same thing! Have a wonderful day ladies.....
-
Coonie - it is so great to be back and posting; and I plan never tp go anywhere again unless it is on vacation?
EWB - so sorry to hear about your Mom. Prayers and hugs. Please convey our concern for her and let her know we are praying for her.
-
Barbe I hope you get better so you can get out of there.
I am supposed to be cleaning but I over did it yesterday and slept like crap last night= I'm beat today
. Why is it everytime I go under anesthesia I wake up and then can't sleep in a normal sleep pattern for ages.....grrr....
Still gotta get some laundry done
No matter how bad I feel.
-
God Jamie-I am so glad that you said that. It makes me feel so much better. Since my surgery two weeks ago, I am such a mess with my sleeping patterns. I can't seem to shake it. Not only do I get deathly sick from the anesthesia, but I feel like it alters me for a long time. I am so tired all of the time and at night I am wide awake. At least I feel I am not alone in this. Feel better.
-
((((((((((EWB)))))))))) really sorry to hear about your mom. Hugs and prayers on their way to you both.
((((((((((Arnie)))))))))) I'm hoping those antibiotics are sorting out your diverticulitis.
((((((((((Barbe)))))))))) hope you are soon feeling better and out of hospital.
((((((((((Jaimieh)))))))))) ((((((((((CarolMarie)))))))))) wishing you both normal, restful sleep.
-

CarolMarie and others with sleep problems ..I have had insomnia for over 3 years now........I have to take prescription meds jsut to sleep at night....I feel your pain.......
Jamie, it takes one month for every hour you are under to recover completely from anesthesia......It took me nearly a year!...I was under for alomost 9 hours if not longer with my surgery.........
To all the rest of my fellow slackers..I am having a down day...Don't know why just am........Just feel sad today......
-
PS ...Jayne thank you for the recispe for the pie!.......
-
Lucy: I did get your cards and so appreciated everyone's thoughtfullness. It brightened my days in otherwise dreary circumstances. I wish I could cheer you up but I know what you mean. The day before I was going home I had the ominous feeling of doom. Nothing happened and now I am home. This is for you:
-
Elaine.........darnit 'bout your Mom. Sending prayers and gentle hugs to you and to all.
-
There's nothing to make you feel better than a laughing baby. It makes me smile everytime.
Lucy, Kathleen, everybody else in treatment or surgery...........laugh with these babies....
((((((((((EWB & her Mom))))))))))))))))))))))

Wow, I've missed a lot! I have to read pg 238-252 to catch up! Maybe another day. I wanted to check in and let you all know I am still alive and kicking.
