So sweet, she actually brought warm milk with it too! I LOVE warm milk.
Wow, this is like a boring, stand-up monologue.....
Is every else REALLY asleep or do y'all have diferent, interesting lives?
-
I knew I could count on Barbe to be up and posting! I am so glad you are improving. I just want you to know that I would never break the rules and clean anything while you are in the hospital! Aren't hospitals grand - first you have lost you health and feel like hell and then you lose you inhibitions and finally your dignity. And what is this all encompassing curiousity about your bowel movements to all the nurses?
Deb: You poor thing. Honestly, enough is enough. Feel better soon.
Coonie: You win the prize for remembering the most names! I was certainly impressed!
Arnie: Hope all is well with you. I so enjoy talking with you!
Linda: Have fun at the lake - sounds great!
Janice - always remember that housework makes you ugly - avoid it at all costs.
To everyone else:
-
Yah! Finally someone to talk to! So it's bowel movements this morning is it? Well, Kathleen, let me tell you a story....
-
I will be right back - I need to get some more coffee. It was so horrific in the hospital (can we say dirt mixed with hot water) tht I am seriously behind on my caffine consumption!
Are you still pain-free? If so, can you go home. I know when I was in the hospital/rehab the thing I missed most (besides drinkable coffee) was my animals. If I remember correctly, you have cats. This is for you:
-
OMG you are so right! My cats are going nuts. My DH even opens the bedroom door at night but he says they go in, jump up on the bed, see him, and jump back down and leave the room! hehehehe We don't normally let them in our "nest" unless they are especially needy....
-
Barbe Love your philosophy! I sure don't want to be remembered for my housekeeping. When I was a career woman, I was organized and prepared each day. Now, I can barely remember to put my glasses on. Housework is vastly overrated! My reward for getting through all these ups and downs is not to sweat the small stuff and housework is small stuff.
-
Good morning ladies had my coffee no I am sane.
Barbe they better send you home before they hook you on pain meds.
Deb sorry about the ### SE's try and get as much sleep as you can.
Sending everyone funny kittys to cheer everyone up.
-
I ate too much breakfast.

-
Hahahaha, what a post to wake up to. LMAO.
Edit to add........I mean the fart post.
-
Good morning Bunnies!!!
Goodness gracious.......you gals get up early huh? It's Saturday. Don't you laze around on Saturdays?
Cheryl.......if you're feeling that bad still, I think you should take some time off from work. Your job will be there after you've healed completely. But you may end up doing more damage to yourself and extend your healing time. Take it slow and easy girl.
Jancie......I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see pics of your horse. I think they're are such beautiful creatures......and smart too! Wish I lived on alot of land so I could have some. Can't wait to see the pics.
Hi Aliceann.......I don't think I've met you, so if not, welcome to our group! Make yourself at home here. It's a great bunch to hang out with. I'm sorry if I've missed an earlier post from you. Sorry too 'cause I can't remember some of the most recent ones that joined us. After you're posting awhile, I'll start remembering better.
Still no word from Mom? I may just have to get her number from Deb and make a call.
Faithie.......got that baby smell all over her and I know she's enjoying every single minute of it.
Sharon Snookums......how's your Saturday going? Do you have pleasant weather? How's buttcakes?
OK.......I need to look for a pretty welcome sign for Aliceann...........
-
Kathleen,I am laughing so hard right now! I'm at work and have asked "Are your bowels moving OK?" about 9 times this morning!
-
Actually Cheryl...no they are not, I'm not okay in that department.......
Morning all, I for one was very lazy today, have been exercising every day (as per cardiologist) and by day 5 this week I was (am ) soooo sleepy. Not tired and worn out feeling but sleepy, curl in bed, get comfy and sleep all day. I have to say that the exercise has helped some of the pain/discomfort ...maybe thats why I am so sleepy.... Its hard work being in pain all the time.
Off to register people at a DAR workshop and then to the CC for a concert with Mickey Dolans (yes of Monkeys fame) Actually, I am more interested in sitting around and munching and chatting w/ people I have not seen much of.
Must go- hugs to everyone

We keep going further & further west & further & further back in time. Vivvy, you must about be ready to 'lap' us. Not sure my biological clock ever sorts out what time it is?????
Alice. Welcome aboard. As Janice is learning --- this thread has very little, if anything, to do with housekeeping anymore.
Deb. My goodness namesake of mine. PLEASE absorb all of these healing vibes and get better right away. You've really been thru the wringer. I know when your kids decorated the yard -- everyone was ready to celebrate being 'finished' with all of the nonsense...... and now there's still another chapter. You will overcome. You're too darn stubborn not to.
Cheryl. Isn't there anyway to work a shorter shift? I can't imagine doing 12 hour days, no matter what the situation. I realize that's how hospitals are organized now, but be a squeeky wheel & have them redesign your assignment. I know you're indispensible to them. Make them give you an easier load for a chunk of time.
Now I've forgotten all of the other issues out there.
BARBE. Of course I'm still sending you prayers.
And Arnie. Seems like maybe she's been missing for a while????
Elaine & your mommy. Prayers honey.

Must go hug a grandson.
Took some awesome pics, so will have to get them downloaded for those of you living vicariously.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Kathleen thanks for the good cheer...... it's so very wonderful to have you back.
KAK I have another very interesting airplane fellow passenger story to share at some point..... my life is such a blessing & we'll see what develops as a result of this latest serendipitous interaction.

Wow, away for two days and so much catching up to do. Continued hugs and prayers your way Barbe. Deb and all the other ladies that need them, hugs and prayers your way too. OK ladies, so I must have done something to stir up trouble. My drain was supposedly coming out soon and all of a sudden Friday I bled out. 100 cc every hour coming out and my breast swelled up like a grapefruit. My doc aspirated some because the drain couldn't take it all in. It slowed down after about three hours. Went to the hospital yesterday all day for testing, and whatever is left in there is clotted, so it needs to loosen up on its own and find its way out through the drain. I am also on strong antibiotics. The day it happened I was actually taking it easy and having breakfast with friends. So it is complete bedrest for me and absolutely no housework for some time. Have a great weekend ladies!
-
Hi ladies stayed up until 2 am playing Monopoly with DH, DS and his best friend. Kicked their butts and am very rich!
thought I would sleep in this morning but the girls decided to get up early and since they are not allowed to mess with the coffee pot they brought me suger water in bed instead.
I have been cleaning all day. Dishes Done laundry started living rm cleaned dusted and vacuumed. girls play area cleaned and decluttered. Now need to do my bdrm and bthrooms but think I'll have to save that for another day.
Spare room is under construction so wont even open that door today.
Guys are begging for a rematch so guess I'll have to go whip their butts again. -
