Thinking of our British sisters.
Is it about time for a spot of tea?
Apparently not, if you're putting your DD down for bed.
I'm not super clever at figuring out time differences.
Save this vista for tomorrow. LOL
This is just down the road from us & I thought of you both while there yesterday:
Welcome to our very own Spawn. I love that nick!! We love your mom.
Now it's a family affair.

Oh golly- lots happening!
Welcome to Mr Arnie and Arnie jr !!
Hugs to Goody and Saint (and any one having rough day, pending treatment etc)
Housecleaning?! bite your tongue. I spent the morning having blood drawn, drugs pumped, chatting at support group, chasing down scripts, films and reports for cardiologist visit tomorrow morning and buying a new makeup foundation brush (just could not buy a $40 brush when a $5 brush from Harmons works perfectly well). I am exhausted
.
Hugs all around ladies!!! (opps and gentleman)

OK OK OK OK OK OK. I am sorry if I worried you wonderful gals!! i am getting my port put back in (re-ported), not reported cuz I did something wrong. I need to have oit back in for my Zometa and becasue as we go down the road I will need it for scans, blood draws and in all probablity more chemo. The only reason that it got taken out was becasue of my mastectomy.
-
EWB, bless you! whew, that sounds taxing and exaustintg; I am so with you with the makeup brush thing. I don't think you need to spend too much on makeup to look good. (however, confession, when I took my cousing to Harrods a few months ago, I got cornered by ther Benefit consultant and honestly I do get quite alot of compliments on my skin and make up now. I recommend their little kit with the cover up, highlighter, eye base lip plump and eye toner, all in one. It was a real treat but it does do the trick nicely! probably a 1 off treat but worth it.
I have posted your mom her London card today after hospital appt. Next one will probably be at the end of the month from the South of France, or maybe sooner from her in the South West of England. xx
Faith, a cup of earl grey is good anytime of day or night, except I need the stronger stuff on waking, like home ground coffee extra shot. Lovely picture, lookks devine!

Hello Little Shiny!.......LOVE the smiley faces!....They're my favorite!.....
Hello Arnie Jrette........Welcome to our craziness!....Qualifications are you must be just as crazy as us or even crazier and being Arnie's little one i imiagine you are just as crazy!...LOL
Went to onc's office and they gave me a 3 month supply of Arimidex so I am covered with meds anyway even if I can't afford to actually see the onc for awhile.......
Also got off my pity party chair and went and put in job apps ...Can't wait for Kroger forever.....
Faith, love the little vignette from down the street......Looks so inviting and peaceful......
Hope all my lovely fellow slackers have a wonderful evening........I am going to go cook dinner.........
-
I will be on the look out for the card. Thanks Shiny. Every so often I go to the department stores and have someone "do" my makeup. Sometimes buy bits and pieces but nothing has ever really thrilled me. Most recently had it done with Nars and Trish McEvoy and loved it. The women was older (my age
) as opposed to lovely 20 ish girls. The most recent was good in that she understands older skin, basic makeup, skin care. That was the biggest- skin care. My face has never looked better in general. Alot of the redness is gone, skin is smoother etc and it has been very do able routine! There is hope for me yet!
South of France sounds so lovely, exotic, pampering sort of place for the well to do!
Momma so sorry about the port thing, I hope it will make all the other things easier for you (but still...)
Flower (aka Lori), Jaimieh, Deb, Faith ummmand everyone else...hope today is a good day !!!!
-
Lucy- Hugs!! Good for you- they seem to be stringing you along; take things into your own hands. Lots of luck with the search.

My little Lilah just left screaming...
She had fun with her Arnie and didn't want to leave.... about breaks my heart!!!
So much to catch up on.... Shiny ((((((((((hugs to you and dd))))))))))) wish I would've been on here to post a pic for her.... but mom took care of that
Lovin... Deb and I couldn't figure out what you would be reported for last night... eeks.. didn't know you meant you were going to have your port put back in... ((((((((((hugs))))))))))))
EWB... sounds like you had a busy, busy day! Bless your heart... I think you should kick your feet up and have that cup of tea!
Deb... enough with the chemo brain... pick on Texas Rose or Jayne for awhile...hehehhe
Faith that looks so "cottagey" love it!!!
Jamieh... I love a clean house too, just can't admit that in front of mom...ahem... have to be discreet....
Where's coonie??? Sharon??? Barbe??? Everybody else???? Hope you all have a blessed afternoon... I gotta get some kind of dinner going...

EBW, actually South of France is the budjet holiday for us in the U.K.Some of our friends go for the camping style or challet style holiday camps there, as they are usually well run. We prefer Greek Island and the like( went at Easter, loved it). In the summer months we go to my inlaws Summer house and have a bit of overlap with my husband's brother(s) and wives, so it's very low key in some ways. Not much to do, except for walks by the sun flower fields, go in the pool in the garden and go to market once or twice a week. With kids though, it's not really that much of a rest, but a nice change of scene. Wish they would sleep in in the a.m, ahhh that would be bliss.
I di introduce the roasted marshmellows thing last summer, gosh got lots of browny points for that! They had never done that roasting them on a camp fire, so it will be on the agenda again!
Hi Hollyann, yes, my now just 6 year old dd loves the smilies. She'll be thrilled to see Mom2's posts to her. Thanks again mom2. xx
Hollyann, good luck with the job thing!

Whhooooo I got the dishes done
Now they can pile up again...hehe...
Mom2two~ I have been picking 2 things to do daily anything else is extra
It always seems that laundry is always one of those things...it never ends..
-
Great to hear jaimie!.....Wish me luck i am leaving u all now to go do dishes myself and make dinner........see you all later gators!........
-
Shiny- have you ever had som'mores? Its a "sandwich" made from a roasted marshmellow, 2 squares of graham crakers and a piece of hershey chocolate. yummmm so good you want "some more"
I guess the "south" of anything just sounds good. Have always wanted to visit he Greek Isles, some of my dd's friends took a trip there last yr and adored it.
Jaimieh- Congrats on finishing the dishes! I adopted a similar goal when the children were babies. Choose 2 things (errands or chores) to get done every day. If I do more I feel SO accomplished, if I only get those 2 done- I had a successful day. win/win.
-
EWB, sounds devine and have never tried it. thing is we don't have hersheys, we probably don't have graham crakers either.. I remember graham crackers and think maybe our "hobnobs" might do the same? How do you assemble the sinful parcels? Do you roast mallows, and plop the choc in the middle then sandwich with the biscuits? Ohh, I think further brownie points are on their way, thank you! xx Shiny
-
On my way to take dd to a birthday pool party. So have to get ready myself. Good seeing all you dust bunnies, now behave while I'm gone. No monkey business while I'm gone young ladies.
-
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddd!!!!!!!!!

Arnie!!! (catch my breath!!) got to try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xxshiny
-
Yeppers... the kidlets would love them...hubby too!!! They are soooooooooo good!!!
-
Major brownie points! This is classic American camping food (also popular with girl/boy scouts). Any type of plain bar chocolate will work. Do let us know how it goes
-
Arnie! You are making this thread too " 6 yr old" friendly, what with you and mom2, I will have to fight my dd off here when am on. Usually she wants to go on kids websites. oh by the way, if any of you have 3 to 6 year old kids or grandkids, you might want to show them www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies. That is the children's bbc games/songs web homepage for children's bbc. It makes a change from disney playhouse? Just in case any of you young grandma's run out of steam one day and want some wholesome kids to do with them.
Boy, who would ever know this is a housework support group, OUR COVER IS SO BUSTED! smores, and kids programming, I don't know! what ARE we like!

lol Shiny... thanks for the website... I'm gonna write it down. First thing Trent does when he walks in is say can I play a game on the computer Arnie??? THANKS I hope I'm on here sometime when they are...that would be fun! My gs's favorite right now is http://www.PBSkids.org
-
I just bookmarked it Shiny....looks like fun!
-
You got it shiny!...Mallows must be roasted though so they are soft and gooey......
Got my dishes done and a load of laundry in and dinner on the stove.....I got 3 things done...Cudos for me!.........
DD is driving me insane!.......She is 17 and thinks I should let her go to a party with NO adults because she is ALMOST 18~.....Sheesh!...All I get from her is grief anymore.....I spent a boat load of money on her I didn't really have for her to go on a trip tp California because I think all young kids should have one great trip to remember from their youth , but all she has done sonce she got back is gripe and complain!.......Lord have mercy and keep from form hurting someone!.....LOL.......
-
Shiny, any 2 inch square of milk chocolate will do ....Girrardelli is a good brand of you don't have Hershey's......
-
I made porcupine meatballs and potaters for dinner...does that count??? Smells so good I'm just waiting for dh and then gonna eat!!!
That was nice of you Lucy... I don't think the kids appreciate us until they have families of their own...
Don't tell mom...but I'm gonna have to do some cleaning tomorrow...I've thought up excuses all week not to, but it's gotta be done...
-
Great Arnie, let me know what they think! My 2 liked pbs kids also. I liked the Balamory songs,(jukebox) sweet.
Hollyann, glad you cleared that up! I was thinking 1 inch, 2 hey? woa!
Also, we don't have that chocolate you mention but in Europe we have loads of choc, Belgian and the best of british is pretty decadent too. Still, they still can't make marshmallows like in America, honest, they are crackley on the outside, but I get the USA/Canada ones.
Night ladies, nearly 11. and I need to get my tush in bed!
