I can't seem to find what we're hugging you for Cathi, but I sure wanna add my hug to those above.
In fact hugs to each and all today.
A very gentle one for you, Deb.
Shiny, Jayne, Rose, Nancy, Miracle, Elaine...... each of you up against it in one way or another, know that I'm sending you encouragement, prayers and giggles, too.
Off to my bike -- and then back to my studio. Got started again out there yesterday afternoon, so I can see some momentum.
Have a great day everyone, but please keep the cleaning in it's proper place.
-
Well, I cannot catch up with you all, so I am just saying hi!! I do not want to do any work today. My underarm parts are a bit swollen today and irritating me. It is getting hot today and it does that. My dds helped clean the house yesterday ALOT!!! I have guests coming in 2 weeks and needs to be done. I think that I will be tackeling my ds room today. He has so many toys in it and it needs to be purged. He wants to help also!!
Hope you all are doing well.
-
Also want to send a hug hollyann's way as her hubby has decided she needs to be offline. Think sometimes they think being on here makes us keep bc on our minds too much, maybe you could let him see some of our posts and see that we have developed friendships that encourage us. We will especially miss you on our thread hollyann. I'm hoping he will rethink his decision.
-
I use to get that too lovin, think it can be a touch of truncal lymphedema so you are wise to take it easy. Hope your swelling goes away soon.
-
Have fun Faith, do a mile for us.
-
-
Hugs Hollyann, we will miss you!
-
Just a quick hello. I'm supposed to be signing up for a professional certificate course for work...
Yay, Nancy!! Hugs to Cathi & Barbe. And hugs to all of you who may need one. And I'll send you all a neck massage, too, while I'm at it.
By the way, Linda & I generally have the same weather, so I'm enjoying this loveliness, too! Kinda flabbergasted, actually...aren't you, Linda? I keep thinking I'm dreaming...not only has it been sunny, but it's been NOT HUMID and then it cools down at night so we can all sleep. It's too perfect...we're gonna get nailed in August, that's what.
-
Ya all read the post Hollyann wrote, titled I have to leave my friends..we're gonna bombard her with cards in the mail, let her hubby know we miss her!
-
Kathi, I think you are right! I am saving a bundle on central air!! The kids are enjoying the pool and I can sit out back with my laptop. Kind of hard to see the screen because of the sun glare, but I am not going to complain about that!
-
Thanks everyone for the good wishes. My hair was driving me crazy so I went and had it all buzzed off this afternoon. I just have a little stubble left. Nick says I look like a Buddhist monk now! I feel much better anyway. I never thought I would be so glad to see my hair go.
Awww Mom that's cute, just what I need and what a sweetie!
((((((((Cathi))))))))
((((((((Barbe))))))))
((((((((Hollyann)))))))) will miss you
((((((((Deb)))))))) very gentle hug
-
MOM- You promised that you wouldn't post that pic of me in my wig!
Jayne- I'm sorry you have reached the buzzing stage. It sucks to lose it, but you get used to it. Although DH come home the other day and asked if he could get me anything, I said, "Yeah, my breast and my hair back!" Oh well.
Hugs for Cathi although I don't know why either, but I am always up for hugs.
Coonie- Yes, it's hotter than hell here. You know what I mean. I had to run errands this morning after leaving the hospital. By the last one, I ripped the wig off in the parking lot again and put a hat on. I'm beginning to make a habit of doing that!
Arnie- (((hugs))) sweetie! We'll be done someday! Soon!
Nancy- I absolutely cannot wait to be deported. They told me they wanted to leave it in for two months after I'm done. I said no. I have gone along with everything else, but I refuse to go along with that. When I am done, I want it out immediately. They agreed to my wishes. I hate the thing!!
Debbie- Enjoy that bike ride!
Linda and Kathi- Enjoy your weather! I can't even describe how hot it is here.
Kimberly- Hi!
EWB- I haven't forgotten your mother. I can't find a postcard! I will definitely pick one up this weekend in our travels and get it in the mail to her. I hope you are the one who we are mailing cards to your mom. Otherwise you will think I'm crazy!
Hugs back to you Sharon!
Deb- I hope you are healing. Gentle hugs to you.
ECHO and EKG went fine. Hopefully the AC didn't mess me up too bad.
I've forgotten most of what I was going to remember from the previous page. Sorry if i didn't name ya, but I'm sending ya hugs anyway.
Barbe- Hope all is well and Mick is behaving himself.
Hugs to all!
Mary

Mary being deported is SO NICE! Got my chemo done, had the surgeon take it out when she did my lumpectomy, now if it weren't for this Dolly Parton Boob, I could sleep wherever/however I want!
And found out today I have 5 regular treatments and 5 boosts left, so the countdown begins. 10 days till I can officially call myself a Survivor!!!!!!!!!!! Course I think we should all get the "Congressional medal of Honor" and the "purple heart" for what we've been through...LOL...we're doing a service to our country, look at me, I will be around to aggravate for years to come! LOL
Hugs and prayers to all who are in need!

Is it unfair of me to hire my housework done....??? after all.. I am a grandmother... Been there done that.. got the hat and am DONE DONE DONE cleaning....!
-
I am back my fellow slackers!....Had talk with hubby and now I think he understands why I come here so much!.....I hope anyway..LOL
Deb from Ohio...Try HONEY on a gauze pad for your wounds that won't heal....I use PURE Orange Blossom honey.....I found out about using it for wounds on TVDoctors.........I wonder how FlaLady is doing with it?..............I had a wound on my breast form God only knows what and it was there for WEEKS...I used the honey and in three days it healed up and only a little pink scar is there...The scab would come off in the shower and bleed..........
Arnie, hope your counts go up...Remember AVOID fresh fruits and veggies when you are neutropenic like that!>............ Only cooked fruits and veggies......This means no salads.....
I love all my slacker friends and have missed you!!.......
Please don't worry about cards dear friends...I wasn't gone as long as I thougth i would be!.......Love you all........
-
Hollyann,
Glad you are back. I haven't had a chance to read up your post to find out why you "were going" and are back, but the essential is that you are back connecting with people you want to connect with and with whom you know understand the BC thing, that's the bonus.
I think my guy was finding it odd at first when I frequently came on here to touch base, with people from all over, but once he understood that it's not a "oh winge we have cancer group" but actually a really fun group of woman from all over with much to share and support on tap too" he was ok with it. Sometimes he sees me laughing out loud in front of my laptop and he says"back on the Housework thread catching up with your girls?"
I am glad you are doing just what you want to. Amen.
Shiny
oh, to All my warmest bestest vibes, got to go to bed, hospital tomorrow and feeling quite tired.
-
Thanks all love oyu very much....No need to send cards ladies....i wasn't gone that long.........(((((ALL))))))))
OMG I just got a reply from gracie on my leaving thread and it royally ticked me off!!!.....Just go read it...I replied and it wasn't pretty!......
DebfromOhio>..You got DEPORTED?????Why????
-
Shiny good luck tomorrow...Will be thinking of you tonigh which is tomorrow for you...LOL
-
Lucy- We are talking about having our chemo ports taken out. LOL
Glad you are back!!
-
Hi all..Deb how about a purple breast award (instead of the purple heart)? I am counting with you!!
Thursday I go to the cardiolgist because of an abnormal ekg @pcp yesterday
. I LOVE his name....Dr Watson (sure hope he's good at finding things
). For birthday family got me an ipod touch (ack another elctronic thing to figure out..its ok cause children are so good at this and having music this close has been wonderful!)
Hugs to everyone. Lucy, nice to see you back.
-
Lucy I hated that port, couldn't wait to get it out, so as soon as I finished chemo, and had my lumpectomy, I had the surgeon take it out, I couldn't stand it..and it's a constant reminder to me..(like these scars won't be) but had no use for it anymore.........
-
Shiny you need to come on at least 30 minutes before bed time. We never get to chat with you like we use to. Now you fly in and fly out. Gotta stay for a minute or two at least once in awhile.
-
Lucy, my Mom passed away, the only way I could get deported is to be stuck back in her, if she were alive, don't think she would like that much! LOL......I'm USA born and Bred....rotf..............
-
hmmm that sounds familiar Deb.
-
Hugs to all who need 'em...........
I gave the dog a bath today and assume that counts as housework.
-
Nah Mom he has longer hair! ROTF!!!!!!!!!!!
-
.....but you are cuter Deb!
-
Oh, lordy, mom! How young & cute was the Boss back then??? Hubba hubba! Course we were ALL younger & cuter back then....
-
Lucy's back!!!
So happy to see you girl!!!
Yeppers Texas...in a a few months we'll be deported too!!! I can't wait...I'm the same as you...as soon as last chemo is done. I WANT THIS THING OUT!!!! Are you doing rads after chemo? I'll have to do 5-6 weeks after chemo. So sorrrry it's so hot, we're like Faith, mid 70's low 80's... has been just beautiful!
Jane... Welcome to the bald club...your not gonna believe how quick it is to get ready... I really haven't minded... have only wore my wig once and wear baseball hats out. Although, I do have some fuzzy hair starting to grow in so I haven't shaved recently... I showed the nurses today at the clinic when I went in for my bloodtest and they said don't shave!!! They think this is the real thing... before it would just get stubbly, kind of like a brillo pad and it would hurt to lay on... this is soft so we'll see.... when is your next chemo?
Deb...Sorry you have to go through the rest of the rads...but 10 days!!! We'll celebrate when you're done....HOW ABOUT A BIG ONLINE PARTY!!!
I've already forgotten what else I read soooooooooo ((((((((((big hugs to all my gal pals))))))))))
-
I kinda doubt that Sharon but Thanks! LOL
