.
Deb- hope all goes well today, prayers for fast healing

The small package I sent to Sgt. Daniel Thornhill on June 29, came back to me today marked " Refused "... this is 2 weeks after I sent it. Anyone else get a returned letter or package?
Not a lick of housework was done today, BUT I learned how to restring a broken necklace with tiger's eye beads that I had in a zip baggie for at least a couple of years. At the recreation center there are several classes for "seniors" and jewelry making is one of them. It was a hands on project and she guided me thru each step and I wore it home. it only took me a little over an hour to do it - from UN stringing the rest of the beads to crimping the final crimper bead. Amazingly simple and easy.
Very gentle hugs, Deb. Hope the day went well for you. Hugs for all of you others, too. Nancy
-
Well went today, the doc wasn't there, nurse looked at it, said to go ahead and do treatment and if the doc wanted to stop it, she could tomorrow, so now I have a new skin opening under the arm, right next to the old one which is bleeding...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I've literally had it.
Nancy I never got my letter back.....so don't know why he would refuse that.............
-
Ohhhhhh Deb...don't blame you sweetie...((((((((((hugs)))))))))))
-
((((((((((Deb)))))))))) very gentle hugs coming your way
-
Nancy,
I sent a large package to him the middle of June and I have not recieved it back. That is strange. I hope he is doing well.
Deb, So sorry you are experiencing such pain with rads. When is your last treatment? I hope real soon.
Lot's of housework here, still doing vacation laundry!
-
Thanks Guys...Linda I have 6 regular treatments and 5 boosts left..I really hope she will just go onto the boosts...Leave this skin alone for awhile....
-
I hope she just goes with the "boosts" too, Deb. I think you've been through enough already!!!
NOTE: Ladies please add Merilee to your birthday lists ... Merilee/ October 13th, 1959
Have a blessed evening!

House slacker checking back in after vacation. BTW, vacation just made me lazier than what I already was....lolol..... I don't want to do a darn thing but play with my kids and putz around on the computer. I have to work tomorrow so I really need to get my backside in gear
-
Jaimieh! Isn't it funny after vacation you feel like you need another vacation to recover from vacation?!? lol
-
What was that nurse thinking Deb????
Jaimieh where did you go on vacation, did you bring us anything back, huh, huh, did ya???
Arnie, Linda, Nancy,Jayne,EWB,Sharon,Faith, and Kak.....big howdy to you.
-
Deb from oh, ohhhhhhhhhh. Myy dear. Gosh, I am so sorry you are having to put up with more of the same. It really doesn't seem to make any kind of sense. We feel pretty helpless, you know. Do winge and complain to us here as much as you want, hourly if it helps you stay brave and sane! Soooo gentle hug coming your way.
Nancy, maybe the parcel was refused on a very black day. I am sure we can't imagine what the man has gone through. Sometimes, even the kindness of stangers is hard to bear, if you are not up to it. I am just guessing, but that must have been a bit of a shock to you. I am sure the intention was appreciated. Or of course, and we know it happens it could just be an administrative mistake.
Coonie, Makraz, Mom, I am totally lost with your numbered pics mentions above but I can appreciate that what ever it was it was all very fun and clearly made dear Coonie's week/month/year!! So, guess don't have to get it to be glad of it!?
Right, after midnight now, just finished some captions to pics of my DS on bikes/ horses/go karts for my DS to share some extra curricular acheivements with his classmates at circle time tomorrow. He finishes school on Tuesday and my little DD on Wednesday next week, so I will be attending countless leaving charity and meeting commitments there, but will be thinking of you all.
Hang in there Arnie!!
EWB in London (hospital) Wednesday so post 1st card will be send then. Send your mum my bestest wishes. Hope she's feeling much more herself now. Sooooo sorry I missed your birthday!
Best say nighty night before Barbe sees I am up past midnight!
Hope you are well my fellow Canadians SHARRON and BARBE.
take care everyone , send an extra prayer for my friend who is having last of her staging tests and meeting with onc Wednesday.

Hey there Mom!!! Good to see ya... how ya doin???
-
Hi Arnie and mom,
What time is it your way?
Shiny
-
In Michigan it's 7:20 p.m. What time is it there Shiny?? How ya doin' sweetie?
-
Hi, In England it's 12:22 (after midnight).
Heloooo. Well spirits are quite good, but I am just pushing myself too hard, playing catch up with stuff before school ends, and body protesting. Fair few aches and pains so not much sleep, so it all piles up. Have to remind myself that we will be in the south of France by the 25th for 2 weeks, so I just have to hang in there.
How are you coping these days with the chemo? How is mr Arnie?
xxShiny
-
Wow... you are up late.... Where's Barbe??? She wouldn't be a happy camper
lol
Hope you get some sweet sleep kiddo. I'm hanging in there...white count down this week...will find out if it's gone back up tomorrow. 3 more Tx and then rads.... doable...but don't wanna...lol
Mr. Arnie is doing better...we think it was stress related. The doc told him to stay away from stress! Yeah right... The only thing they found was arthritis starting in his neck that could be causing headaches. He wants to see him in 3 months. Thanks for asking sweetie.
I can't believe my fatigue lately... took a two hour nap today and ready to go back to bed soon... I'll be glad to get some energy back... never taken this many naps in my life!!!
Welll...hugs to you sweet Shiny and to your family. My spirits are good too.
xoxo janet
-
Thanks for the update, just before Barbe gets me... I'll say
At least you are listening to your body and you have the option to take those naps and are taking them. It is a trange time isn't it, lots of 1sts. Do the nap thing, and be o.k with it, clearly what your body needs.
Makes sense re the stress for Mr Arnie, they take it all in but have less outlet then us to "deal" with it. Hope you have some nice serene R and R time with your man over the summer.
Wish you all my best. Best go try to sleep.
Sweet dreams Arnie,
Shiny

Just taking a quick nap myself.
-
Sweet dreams Shiny.
It's 8:10 here and I just came back from a bike ride with my youngest son. We are finally having perfect weather!! I shouldn't brag because I will probably jinx myself!
Hope you are all having a good night.Take it easy Deb. I hope they move right on to the boosts too.
Linda

I just got back from Florida. I am really not up for the house work yet, so as my Dad used to say "tomorrow is another day"....boy I miss him
Gotta go set up for tomorrow. At least it's gonna be a blast 1st birthday pictures (I am a photographer). I haven't done a session in 6 mths so it's got my nerves going.
-
Arnie, arthrtis can definitely cause those headaches, and the muscle spasms that go with arthritis in the neck can give you a migraine for sure. Maybe I need to come visit you & give Mr. Arnie a PT treatment & one of my special headache-busting neck massages!
Deb, has your daughter had that lump checked out by t5he way?
Shiny, glad to hear your spirits are good.
Mom, hugs back at ya.
Nice to see your smiling face here Linda. How's the darn vacation laundry coming?? I think it muliplies itself when we're not looking. Bike riding is a far, far better thing to do!
-
Kak now you tell me you have a headache busting neck massage????? Where were you all those migraines ago.
-
Have any of you resorted to using those energy shots or caffeine to keep going?
-
Sweet dreams, all
-
Jaimieh - good luck tomorrow!
Kathi,
I can now see the light at then end of the tunnel! Maybe 2 more loads tomorrow and I should be caught up. Today I washed sleeping bags, beach towels etc. I hung them all out to dry. Yes, I'd rather be bike riding.
Jane, although I love my diet coke, I think the energy shot drinks just have way to much caffeine in them for me. It may work for some, though, they scare me!
-
I wouldn't try them either Jayne. They can cause heart rhythm problems.
-
Jayne,
Mom would know, you better listen to her!
When my kids want to get those tyes of drinks I don't allow them to. I also have put the fear of God in them. I told them that there ADHD meds wouod interact with all the caffeine and cause heart problems. If I'm wrong, please don't tell them!
