Lol, Arnie, its a collage of street musicians singing Stand by Me. Really beautiful and touching but my computer skills are lacking, although I was pretty excited that I actually got a blue link line to post even if it was the wrong one.

Any of you who haven't done the reconstruction and have found any outfits that look nice on those days you don't want to wear the bra and forms, I have started a thread asking for pics so myself and others can get some ideas for our own wardrobes. Its one of those things where a picture is worth a thousand words. You can find the thread under the active topics right now. Thanks.
-
I went to our local beach, too (yea, right here in SW MO) Ha. This is what happened to me, so I'm declaring NO HOUSEWORK for at least two weeks while I recover from "sand burn."

Didn't realize those umbrellas could be so dangerous.

Hi ladies,
Seems I am always just checking in when all of you are headed off to slumber land. Between kids and work and all the little things in between I sometimes just don't have time for me.
My hair has finally grown out long enough to have a relaxer put on. Planned to do that this week but DH burned the water pump up this weekend so spent my extra $$$$ on having that repaired.
Got to the office this morning and found it had been broken into. Laptop, TV and other items taken. What really ticks me off other than the fact that they trashed my office was they threw a huge bottle of popcorn butter all over the walls and floor and then filled the toilet full of toilet paper and flushed. SOooooo we had a huge mess everywhere.GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!Anyway tomorrow is another day.
Deb I remember having to take a few days off from rads because of skin breakdown. Dr. gave me Aloe Vista cream to put on and it helped alot. Ask your Dr. for something to sooth the skin and take the pain meds. I will be thinking of you and hope you get some relief.
We did have a great 4th. We went to a friends and the kids all swam in the pool then the kids did sparklers. We drug out the telescope and the girls were amazed at the moon and stars. A couple guys brought their guitars and everyone sang. Felicity was very interested in the music and wanted to try to play so they let her. She got very into it and was able to play just a little on her own. Very cool! Porshalin sang her Hanna Montana song for everyone and both girls sang God Bless America. They both fell asleep in my arms listening to the music and can't wait til the next time they get to stay up late.
Hugs to everyone who needs it including me.
-
Sounds like everyone had a great 4th!
Mom, I'll have to check out your thread, as I go flat-chested. I find a busy patterned top hides all. It's only from the side you really notice.I love watching people figure it out! hehehehehe....and then the penny drops and they see CANCER! Sorry, my sick sense of humour....
If you were thinking 'natural girls' was about going form-free, it's not, it's about alternative options.
-
Think Ms. Arnie has a birthday TOMORROW......I baked a cake......well, it's just a "bite" of cake. We'll have a bigger one for the actual party. What ya want for your birthday Arnie? I've gotta go web shopping, and was gonna get your gift.
-
Thanks coonie... ummm let's see... maybe a pretty sundress so I can feel more feminine...lol and a gift card for a tan...would be nice... that's about it! Got most everything I want... You look so adorable in that apron!!!
-
OH DEAR ME...................I thought it was MR. Arnie's b'day...............now must go and edit my posts.
-

I haven't swept this house since before last Tuesday... oh my goodness the pet hair is about to take over!!! Talk me out of it ladies...PLEASE!!!
Ok.. ds is taking me to get weekly bloodtest... be good while I'm gone....
-
Arnie you're going to laugh at this...as you know, I have a very large white long haired german shepherd, this dog sheds so much, in theory he ought to be bald...but I got mad a few days ago cuz my sweeper wouldn't pick it up..so I went out to the shed, got the outdoor leaf rake and raked it up! It worked like a charm! LOL....................
-
How ya doin' today Deb??? What time is your dr's appt??? You're right about the dog hair...never thought of a rake...rofl...
Well I was one point away from having to be sent to the hospital...WBC 3.0... nurse told me to stay away from sick people as she started to cough....honest to goodness!!!! I backed away and the other nurse and I cracked up!
Prayers and hugs for dream.... ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
-
Still burnt and hurting Arnie...can't put the cream with lidocaine on it either just incase they do rads today and can't take a pain pill cause I have to drive..so kinda stuck. Actually I have no set appt..LOL, I get there at 2:30 everyday, they usually take me into rads within 5 mins..they told me to just come at the normal time...so guess around that time..have a catscan at 3:15...soooo thinking will see her before the catscan.
The rake worked wonders! I was amazed..one of these days I will post a pic of what my carpet (dark brown) looks like after a few days of dog hair, it looks like snow! LOL.....
Glad to hear ya didn't get stuck in the horsespital....yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
A little comedy to put a smile on your face! LOL
WRONG BITCH
The train was quite crowded, and a U. S. Marine walked the entire
length looking for a seat. There seemed to be one next to a
well-dressed, middle-aged, French woman, but when he got there, he saw
it was taken by the woman's poodle. The war-weary Marine asked,
"Ma'am, may I have that seat?"The French woman sniffed and said to no one in particular, "Americans
are so rude. My little Fifi is using that seat." The Marine walked the
entire train a gain, but the only seat available was under that dog.
"Please, ma'am. May I sit down? I'm very tired."She snorted, "Not only are you Americans rude, you are also arrogant!"
This time the Marine didn't say a word; he just picked up the little
dog, tossed it out the train window, and sat down.
The woman shrieked, "Someone must defend my honour! Put this American
in his place!"An English gentleman sitting nearby spoke up. "Sir, you Americans seem
to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing. You hold the fork in the
wrong hand. You drive your autos on the wrong side of the road. And
now, sir, you seem to have thrown the wrong bitch out the window." -
LOLOL Deb.
-
Well went to the rads doc...she said I have 3rd degree burns, no radiation till Monday...catscan was rescheduled also......wonderful huh?
-
LOL Deb...yep I think they got the wrong one... YIKES! 3rd degree burns.... did they give you anything new to put on it??? Still praying for ya sweetie...
Ok... so I didn't use a rake but just finished sweeping as much hair as I could without moving furniture.... I'm done for the week!!!! I have used the vacuumn on the cat...when he's too stubborn to move...
Missing Makraz... hope they're having a ball!!!
No pics from Faith...hmmmmmmmm they must be awfully busy...
Made chili for supper tonight....all done so I'm gonna go take a small nap... catch up with you all later...
-
Nope Arnie, she said to keep using the Silvadene with Lidocaine in it, then the pure Lidocaine..I suspect I am also burned inside, the doc sort of agreed with me....oh and I have vicodine, Thank the Lord...........Dag get off till Monday and don't even feel like celebrating!
Hugs!
-
Oh Deb- my most gentle hugs sweetie! I sure wish there was something I could do to make this all better. My prayers are with you for quick healing.
-
Am pretty sure EWB that I ain't the only one this has happened to...I just don't understand why in all these years we have to go through such barbaric procedures. I can GUARANTEE you, if the majority of people who got BC were men, we sure wouldn't be......course I could be just a little grumpy today too.....
Thank you for the kind words and prayers though, I am so glad I found my Sisters here, couldn't have made this journey with out any of you!
-
I am sure there are others (and will say a prayer tonight for them), but at this moment, this very moment, YOU are the only one I know...soooo many gentle hugs and prayers to help you get through.
I think you may be right about the man connection....kind of sad really. If this were up to a bunch of ladies and moms- it would be taken care of in no time.
-
Deb, so sorry to hear about the rad burns. I remember a gal showed me her burns under her breast and it looked pretty darned painful. I had a mast.......so for some reason just turned red but nothing really awful.
Gentle hugs to you and to all.
