My rad burns were pretty bad. I also had a mastectomy but they still insited on radiation. My burns showed up after the 25 rads and then the skin peeled off. It was pretty raw and sore. I feel for you Deb I hope you heal up soon.

Just got off the phone with Julz... what a cutie! She's got to work tonight, enjoyed our talk...
I told her that I think I might write Oprah and tell her there's a group of gals that she might be interested in interviewing about bc. If she could put us up for a weekend in Chicago together I'd do it...fat, bald and sickly! lol
Hope you are all having a blessed night...

I posted a longer post of our visit -- over on Stage IV thread.

I think tomorrow I am going to call my oncologist and ask him what the percentage of a recurrance is if I just do what i have done versus the whole 30 radiation treatments. I only have 6 reg treatments and 5 boosts left and to put simply, I am tired of the whole thing. Went thru chemo, got sick.....went thru surgery, pain...and swelling.........go thru rads more pains with the 3rd degree burns and being burned inside and my breast still is swelled up twice the size of the other..just so sick of being sick, tired and in pain.........if it comes back, will deal with it then............

Ok gals, know its been awhile. It has just been a whirlwind of activity in my life, but all good things (two graduations, parties etc.) But I know I can count on you all. and I really need a shoulder to lean on right now. Going for my prophylactic this coming Monday, and I am getting myself into an anxiety wreck. On top of that, one of my good friends just passed away from breast cancer last night. She has been fighting stage IV cancer for over twelve years and beaten every odd. She even had her son (age 17) and husband die of cancer in the years when she fought. She leaves behind a little 13 year old son who has lost his entire family to this disease. So please pray for him, as I know she is smiling with her son and husband now in peace. And while you are at it, I would really love if you can offer me some support as I am really hurting emotionally in so many ways right now. Thanks so much.
-
Ok..........Arnie, I've been out looking for a sundress, and thought this one was cute. It comes with a hat too. Whatcha think? You like?
Now I gotta find a gift card for the tan

Coonie,
I love it down here (except for the ice in the winter). I was in Branson 2 weeks ago with my son, DIL and grands. We went to "Steal Your Dollar City!" My son called it that so much, that it's what my 5 yr old grandd thinks it is really called. Am going again later this month--so many fun things to do!
-
Oh Gram!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooo jealous!!! We go a few times a year. We have a timeshare in Hollister. HAHA....Steal Your Dollar City!!! That's 'bout right:) It is a fun place to go though. I just love it at Christmas time. Of course, I love it in the Fall too. Well shucks, I just love Branson all the them. My BIL and SIL live in Springfield. Beautiful area!!! We usually meet up at Lamberts!
