Happy 4th to all.  I love the design of that cake - unfortunately I am allergic to strawberries :-(

There are 5 small flags out in my patio flower pots and I will soon be putting on my Red capri pants, white blouse, flag scarf, flag socks and blue crocs.   Saying a prayer for all for a peaceful and pain free weekend.  HUGS,  Nancy

    HAPPY 4TH DUST BUNNIES!!!!!!

The zoo yesterday wasn't quite the fun that the rafting experience was. But it was interesting. Today we are just spending quietly at home.

Know what you mean Barbe, it's just more fun when everyone is online at the same time. Maybe we should set up a couple of key times that we know we'd all be on to chat. One time in the morning and maybe another at night.

    Hugs to all.

Thanks for including us "not american"gals in there! you are sweet!

Hope you are having a real blast! I think you must have cause it appears all is rather quiet and no one is ...cleaning!! good job too on the 4th of July!

Our school fete was a success and the weather was perfect. A long and good day of helping and love it, but I had to stop earlier then I had planned as I am... you know it... a lemonette. In bed now, whoooped. Hopefully, with Prayer, God will give me a really restorative sleep and I will get my "hearing" last working document done and dusted and then, just liaise my socks off for the rest of the week until THE Tribunal hearing. yeeeha! Bring it on!

Arnie: Tax is tuff. Remember my lovey, try the celeri and loads of liquids. The celeri apparently helps numb the tum (someone told me that after I had spent my whole time on Tax craving it).

I know you will feel better soon. It was a real roller coaster on Tax for me, about 3 very different and powerful symptom sets but they all went away as fast as they came earch time.

Jayne-uk and Texas Rose hope you are feeling ok today

Ohhhh!!!! big news! My DS, on Tuesday a.m, for the 1st time ever was able to tolerate his buttons on his school polo to be left undone! HUGE breakthrough for him. They have always had to be done up, on any clothing and caused him much angst and upset,(we had developped songs to help him cope as he waited for them to be all done up each day)

Well, Tuesday, for some reason, it became ok to leave them open! Praise the lord!!

(he has just a few things he feels like that about, like needing trains and plane to go faster, but it is great to have a major cause of upset to him, now off the list!)

    ahh, my world. xx

    Nighty night all,

    Shiny

Hi Shiny, EWB, Sharon, Coonie,Julz. Looks like everyone is busy cooking or watching fireworks. We are having rain so will be having an un fireworks 4th this year I think.

Shiny my youngest was always so super sensitive to clothes as well. It was exhausting just trying to get her dressed in the mornings. I never knew socks could hurt....but I finally found some without seams and life became easier with it. She has certain textures of clothes she just cannot stand to wear. I gave up on frilly along time ago. But the older she gets the less sensitive she seems to be about the clothing issue. Hope you find the same with your son.

Hope you all are having a wondermous 4th of July. Even you Shiny!!!! I love the button story about your little one. I'd love to meet him. He sounds like a little character. I'll be praying for you next week with your important meeting........gooooooood vibes to you Shinygirl!!!

Mom.....I think it'd be a good idea to try to get as many as possible on at one time. We could just see how it works anyway. We might be running all over each other.....but that might be fun too :)

Julz girl.....you did good remembering all those names........whew.....that's hard to do.

Now Sharon.....that sure is a jam up lawnmower. I can just see you mowing your yard on that thang. Going 'bout 60 miles an hour, hair blowing in the wind.......doggus watching every turn you make......LOL.......need to get that on video.

Hey Arnie........love your cake. It's so purdeeeee......I could pick every strawberry off and eat them, then just throw my face right in to that cake......kinda like Cathi's cute grandson.....

No cooking for me today Mom......and no fireworks either. It's just too hot around here. I think the trees would catch fire if there were fireworks. the only place I've heard they're doing them is on the lake or river.

Shiny - if you go to the "Search" box in the top right cornor when you are at the top of the screen, you can search by name etc. Let me know if you still can't find it! Seems like there are so many possibilities on here, but who has enough time to play to figure them all out? Hope everyone is having a great day!

Well we've worn ourselves out and are home to take a few deep breaths.

Today was a postcard day for sure......

    Oh my goodness gorgous.

I think we've finally squeeked back into the 70's.... can't believe that we're 30 some degrees cooler that you southern sistahs!

Of course everything up here is a small town, but we just love the holidays on the peninsula. Small town extravaganza. Lots of folks dressed in red, white and blue -- of every polka dot, stripe,  flouresent hats..... you name it, if it had a flag or was red, white and blue it was at today's festival.

Shiny. You're little guy becomes more and more 'real' to me -- with each new story that you tell.

Hugs as you near the countdown......

Hugs, too to all those going thru treatment or havin' a heat wave.

Super hot, feet hurt, but off to the big army show, lots of fun things for the kids to do and see apparently. Never been, usually the DH does that bit but with bouncy castles and spectaclesw for the kids and ice cream, I just want to be all the family before I locked myself up in the bedroom to do more special needs prep work.

Deb enjoy your guy at home!Cool

Everyone, enjoy your Sunday!! take good care!

Shiny (((((((hugs)))))))))) so glad your bbq went well on Saturday...thought about ya.  Thanks for the advice on celery...gonna try that!!!  I told Mr. Arnie that next 4th, I'll have hair and be ready to have some fun...poor guy spent this one mostly alone since I was sleeping for most of it...  I loved the story about the buttons too!  My ds had to have every tag in his shirts cut out when he was little...he said they "hurt".  Not good for resale...lol

Mom... lol at you're way of cutting grass...hehehehe

Faith... I love those kind of days... have sweet memories of many happy 4ths.  Hope you and Saint and dh's have a wonderful time together... be sure to tell her we said "hi".

Julz...you sure know how to party...lol love the pics!

Kak, Coonie and all others in the sweltering heat... here's a cool one for ya!  I gotta say we have had beautiful weather for days...just right... will try to wish it your way.

Hope this cools you down a tad....

Sharon... it worked!!!  My page looks normal again...lol

Everyone else....have a blessed day... and here's a hug...from me to all of you...

Shiny, what great news! That really is a big step for ds, even if for one day. Will be thinking of you later in the week!

Mom is doing well, sore and moving slow (as she should) but improving daily. Took her shopping yesterday, incision is in spot that most of her dresses hit in a funny way. Incision site is still sore and I expect will be sensitive for a while, so we went to fing some dresses that are the shirt/t-shirt style with no waist band.  Could tell that by the time we got home, she was ready for quiet time/nap. So glad she is not pushing the limits, as is her nature...

Hope everyone is doing well, esp anyone having treatment! Today appears to be bright, sunny, not tooo hot and not tooo humid. I pray for a lazy sit on the deck with the Sunday papers and ice tea kind of day.

    Morning Early Dust Bunnies......

How is this for a Lazy day on the Deck......

Tee Hee.....EWB.....You didn't say WHAT kind of Deck!!! LOL! Not very Comfey though! Glad your MOM is heeding her own limitations!  Got the postcard....SOON! Wink

Arnie.....DH has been a DJ for over 30 years now we play at some local Campgrounds, Schools, Weddings, & Private Party's.....This weekend is a biggy for us at the Campgrounds.....I took our 2 youngest Boys to watch fireworks that are set off at a local Ski Resort High on a Nearby Mountain....(Small PA mountains not Rocky mountains! Laughing) Got to meet the 2end oldest sons Girls parents for the first time! Had a Great time! There is nothing like looking at fireworks from someplace Higher than where they are set off. My Neck is in good order today!!! NO CRICKS!!!!  No Earplugs.....Didn't have to fight the traffic too much either! This is around the area they are set off at!I actually googled it & found a pic taken this spring apparently!

If you All look closely up that ski trail you can still see a little snow....Maybe looking at it will help cool you Hot Dust Bunnies off a little! If only it were that easy! Tongue out

I went looking further & found the One Laned Covered Bridge I had to go over to get to the top of the Mountain last night! This bridge is at the base of that Mountain. It was an adventure as I got lost trying to find the spot in all those trees behind the bridge that everyone was at!!!

Shiny....Every now & Then you just have to take a break & Play with the Kids!  Easier said than done!

OK enough of my Yaking this morn gotta get moving & get ready for church after another stop or 2 along the way here!  (((((((((((((((((HUGS TO ALL IN NEED))))))))))))))))))

(Edit cuz I forgot to add a pic! LOL)
