((((( shiny, coonie, arnie, Mr. arnie )))))) ((((( any I may have missed ))))))))
(((((((((((( ALL of you and your families )))))))))). I am tooo pooped to read back to my last post. Herceptin yesterday took its toll on my energy and of course I woke up at 5 AM... Now, it may be time for a nap, as it is raining AGAIN - still ...
I cleared off the dining table - put up the card table in my second bedroom / office. At least I can close the door now and not have to look at it. Tonight is bingo, but I know I cannot sit for 6 hours for the early birds and regular, so just early birds is what it will be. "only" 43 games for early birds...
more gentle (((((( everyone )))))))))), Nancy

Thinking of you to Shiny. Hope all goes as well as it can.
I think the divers had their undies on! I'd need a suit of armor!
Nancy, stop cleaning and get some rest. I hope you feel better too!
-
Morning ladies.
Shiny- Have a safe trip to Canada. Remember we are with you all the way! I'd love to see a pic of your daddy too. In fact, in honor of Father's Day, we should all post a pic of our daddies. I am leaving soon, but will remember to do that later when I get home. I miss my dad so much and he's been gone for 15 years.
I am so happy today. I am heading out to cook for Meals on Wheels. I haven't been since right before I found the lump in February. My mom and I have been doing this for 15 years. Since my dad died and we were looking for something to keep us busy at Christmas. We loved it so much, we still do it once a month at a small Presbyterian church here in town. We are Catholic, but this church is like a second home to us. Love it there and the people! So, it will be good to be back. We had already planned to be out in March and then in April, I had my surgery the day we would have cooked. It will be good to get back into it.
Hugs for all who need it. Hope it's a wonderful day in your world wherever you are!
-
Mary, you must be feeling better! Glad to hear that.
Nancy, love that you're still going to bingo anyway! hehehehe
-

Deb, I wish I did not have to get up at the crack of dawn. Unfortunately, my kids like to eat breakfast before school. Only 8 more years and then they will be in College and I will sleep then!!
Until then, the first bus comes at 7:05 and the second at 8. I do sleep in on the weekends!
-

Good morning all Domestic Goddessessssss!
I am just returned from a graduation celebration at one of our nations fine universities and a biggy and healing "Treat" of re. A retreat. If you haven't does this amazing adventure * you must.
Also we need an intervention* And pronto. I found my mother trying to surf the ironing board.
Let's help if we can. To all our goddessess here I pray all is well and carefree * no aches and wishes for feeling good.
Ok now for Mom.
-
Sahalie, LOL!! I guess I could start usig my ironing board again!!
-
Great pic Sahalie.
Any one see a sign of Arnie this aft?
-
I hope Arnie is at the hospital picking her DH up to come home! I haven't heard otherwise...she hasn't played my Wacky Definition thread yet today....
-
I stand corrected, she posted on it 7 hours ago...
-
Oh my goodness, lots happening! Arnie- hugs and prayers the Mr Arnie is ok and home soon
Shiny- Hugs. My Dad died 1 1/2 yrs ago, not totally unexpected but Dad was always the srong one, making everything right, always so healthy, pretty much my super hero. I miss him terribly but know he is always around. So many things that "are Dad" show up in my kids, siblings, something I notice...all around. I feel so grateful that he was my Dad and that so much of him is in me. He and Mom were sweethearts to the end, she now wears his wedding ring on a ribbon round her neck, really sweet, my heart aches for her sometimes (well a lot).
Nancy- good to see you're getting around, even if it is just for the early birds.
Mary- really nice that you and Mom do things together like that, special time. Glad you're feeling better...hoping next round will be easier!
Deb- you've got too much time on your hands!!!
Makraz- as the boys are getting older, they can help with the breakfast and lunch thing (mine thought it was a hoot to get breakfast and lunches made on their own --mostly anyway
)
Ummm can't remember what else I read...hugs for everyone!
-
WE HAVE INTERNET!!!!
I swear if I had to try to read from that 1.5 by 2 inch screen any more I might a jumped in the lake.
Full size pictures. Just in time.
You are all welcome to come here and congregate at our place. The shopping is amazing. There's not one stop light on our whole penninsula of about 55 miles. No fast food either.
All the shops are boutiques or art galleries, with the very rare t-shirt shop thrown in to round it all out.
I got out on my bike for my maiden voyage of the season and rode just over 16 miles. Didn't want to over-do on the first jaunt. And before I did that I scrubbed the bathroom clean. ACTUAL housework. Who'd a thunk it. Have laundry going now.
I've probably done more housework in the last four days than in the last four months. LOL.
My camera seems to be on the fritz now. geesh. I have a way with mechanical items: not.

Hugs to shiny, coonie, arnie, mary, lefty, and oh I guess just all of you, because we can all use one.
Hey, I got a piece of photo artwork in a juried photography show. Opening is tonight, so y'all come on up to Rhode Island between 6 and 8, okay?? Link to see it: www.accidentalamazon.com
All right, here it is, girls. It really didn't hurt. Honest. It's a little stingy while it's happening, but not worse than pulling off a bandaid. Well, okay, pulling off a bandaid for an hour. Compared to a lot of things (childbirth, wire localization before breast surgery, etc., etc.), 'twas cake. And the tattoo artist was this sweet ol' hippie who's sister had had breast cancer. So, there's that instant bond thing that happens among us.
-
So where in RI are you exactly? I'm not so far away in NJ.
-
Arnie and Coonie...... I am praying for you all. I am doing good today. Mom...glad that you are feeling better.
Hi to all the rest of you!
-
KAK

Lori
-
Kathi- Loving the tat and really loving the shoes!! Good luck tonight!
How is Mr Arnie? Any news on Coonie?
-
EWB, whenever I ask the boys to make breaskfast or lunch, they tell me they don't need to eat. I thought it would change as they got older, apparently not.
KAK, love the Tattoo, ust checked it out on facebook!! You rock!!
Faith, slow down. It's OK to have a dirty summer place! The town I live in 1s over 15 square miles and has no traffic lights in it. I love small town living! 61 mile bike ride...WOW!
Hello to everyone else!!
-
To All Arnie's Buddies,
First of all, I want to thank all you ladies for the great support and council you've given Arnie during this difficult time. You have made her ordeal way more bearable for her. Secondly, I got out of the hospital tonight and was over-welmed for the kind thoughts and prayers for her DH???? Does that stand for Dumb Husband? Dingbat Husband? Just wondering!
My admiration for your Strength, and prayers for recovery to all of you.
God Bless,
Gary
-

-
So glad to hear that Arnie!!! Have a great nights sleep! You too, Gary!
-
-
Arnie!! And Mr. Arnie!! It's great hearing from you both!!
EWB, I live on the south coast of Rhode Island, in South Kingstown, so you could take a boat right up from New Jersey!! (Or I-95).
Have to say tho', dust bunnies, that it was really different going to an art opening than it used to be. Never did have a high tolerance for some of the vacuous, self-aggrandizing crap-o-la one can run into in the art world, and now my tolerance is ever lower. Especially among photographers. Especially among male photographers. "My lens is bigger than your lens." That kind of thing. One of the male photographers actually asked me if my piece was a self-portrait. Like I'm going to tell him! NOT. Now, there were at least a half dozen other pieces on the wall depicting the nude female form. But did anyone else get asked to discuss their model or say who it was?? Oh, no. Anyway, I told him that we photographers are supposed to respect our model's privacy.
Fortunately, a couple of girlfriends came & rescued me & took me out to dinner after. Oy.
-
Good night Arnie. I hope Coonie is sleeping tight too.
-
-
Mr. Arnie's home!!
And as good as new, the ol' Mr. Arnie.
I'm quite certain that the DH stands for "Dear Husband."
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
Good luck on your entry Kathi! Keep us posted. When is it juried?
Gary, Gary, Gary, DH means whatever you think it means at the time of posting.
Night all!
