Sharon - I believe I did mention drink - pick you up when I get the rest of the gang.
-
Was thinking about my dad today. He spent 23 yrs in the military and is buried at Camp Butler National Cemetary in Springfield, Illinois. He enlisted in 1944 and was in more military campaigns and battles than one could think possible. The military sent me his records and medals from all his years of service. He had received numerous medals for valor and honor during his military career. I only wished I had found out about all of it before he passed on, it would have been nice to talk to him about it. I even found a picture of him from a newspaper story they had written about him receiving one of the medals, he looked so impossibly young.

mom2two... when we had friends over the other night I was excitedly telling them about your Robin whatchamacallit and my friend Sandiy said, "Man the last person on the list is gonna have one heck of a Postage bill...especially if they're sending it to England". We laughed so hard!
Then of course these nutty friends were saying I'd probably be the last one on the list and a
semi-truck would pull up with I-Pod full of stuff from all over the country and world... Guess you had to be there but it was hysterical!
-

We are going to try and start connecting in the real world Lucy. Thought maybe something that went from one to the other of us would be fun. Just pm me on here what your address is if you want to join in or if you feel more comfortable you can pm me and I will give you my email address and you can send it to me there. This will be a first for all of us so we may have to learn as we go along. Just keep in mind that building our friendship is the main goal. I think with the wonderful, loving, creative gals we have on here it will be anything but boring.

Thank you everyone for your wishes for Memorial Day. I went over early, and avoided getting trapped when the President arrived. They do not let anyone in or out while he is there. It was VERY crowded by the time I left.
Call it a "sign" from above - my husb loved to play with rubber bands. As I was walking in from my car, there was one on the ground. I picked it up and used it to put 2 roses over his marker. Stretched it from the 2 bottom "screws" and put the roses behind it.
On the round robin idea: you could do it in the form of letters and pictures to avoid massive postage costs. Each person writes a letter and adds it to the others. However, the persons at the bottom of the list have to wait "forever" for theirs. With today's technology, you might consider doing a mass email and each person adding pictures as attachments, then sending as "reply to all". This way everyone gets the email on the same day and no one is left out. Some servers do limit the number of addresses allowed for one email. Does this make much sense?
-
lefty... thought about you yesterday...I believe we do receive signs and I loved your story about the rubber band...precious. ((((((((HUGS)))))))))
-
Yep! I feel it this morning!........LOL Oh well live and learn.....It is my day off from work and I am taking a real day off!>......NO housework today!...Unless of course I get tired looking at the mess...LOL Gonna go have coffee and watch tv.......Have a great day all!!!!
Lefty, loved the rubber band story!......I can just imagine your dear hubby snapping those bands!......
