The walk was awesome.
I put up over 30 pics on my blog this afternoon.
Go take a look: www.rainbowswithinreach.blogspot.com
I wrote lots of names on my shirt!! Lots and lots!!
-
Faith, what great pics, and how wonderful that the rain held off till the walk was over. What a sweet thought to put so many names on your shirt too.
-
Sharon, I'm with you, no big on male strippers, actually don't like it at all. He was for Barbs Bday because I think I remember her saying she liked that!
Fait, how sweet of you to put all our names on your shirt! That must have taken a LONG time. Thanks so much for doing that and including each and every one of us!
Hello to everyone else. Shiny, I love "tout le monde". Had to google it, how sad is that!
Have a great night ladies!!
-
Hey i am back! Had my bilat with hyst on Monday. Good thing my mom is here, so my house is not falling down. Mom I don't know how you did it all.
I am feeling ok, but kind of pushed it yesterday. Off the pain pills, but still sleeping in the recliner for the drain stuff. These drains are driving me crazy.
-
Kimberly,
So glad your Mom is there to help you. I hope you are feeling OK. Don't push yourself. You really need to let others help you. That was so hard for me to do, but you have to. I did not have drains and can only imagine how they would drive you crazy. I hope it gets more comfortable for you.
Big hugs to you!!
-
(((((((((((((((((((gentle hugs))))))))))))))))))))) lovinmomma. No work for you lady! Glad you are back.
Linda didn't know they didn't do drains, I would of signed up for that option.
-
Mom, I only had a partial mx w/out recon. No drain option!
-
WOW! No drains. I had the bilat mast with no reconstruction. Wish they did not need drains.
-
Dear Faith: I saw my name on your shirt. Thank you from the bottom of my heart - it means a lot to be part of this sisterhood and to have the love and support of each and every one of you. I don' have to like it, just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
I have specific orders NOT to do any housework until at least Thursday when I get the results of my stero biopsy yesterday. However, I think I banked a few points by mopping the kitchen floor, changing the sheets, doing laundry, and vacuuming the other day.
Hugs and Blessings, Nancy
-
Hey Kimberly and Nancy!!! So good to see you ladies!! Be sure and take it easy for the rest of the............well............the rest of the YEAR!! You deserve it. Best of luck to both of you.....sending lots of gentle hugs and prayers to you both.
Arnie.......you too girlie. Let us know how it goes with that port, ok? Praying for you!!
GeeGee ((Faithie))...what a sweetie you are. I saw your blog. It's simply BEEEEUTIFUL. I've always loved pink........any shade of pink. I loved the pics. It's so special to see all of our friends on the back of your shirt!!! That is such an awesome tribute to our sisterhood!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I'm gonna do that one year------I PROMISE!!!
Hope all of you have a great day!! Church and Sunday School for me, then lots of R&R when I get home this afternoon. My wittle Sunday School kids (3 year olds) are getting their trophies for memorizing memory verses today. It's always an exciting time for them!!!! Got 31 of those little boogers this morning to pass out.
((((((((((((big hugs to everybody)))))))))))
-
Linda, OMG, was he only supposed to strip!
Gee, I guess I owe him more money....
Faith, I bookmarked your blog for quiet interspection later, but I did see my name on your shirt!
Kinda made it more real...believe it or not. I walk around all day and no one knows but you guys!
Okay, lovinmamma and akanancy, STOP! First of all this is the Housework thread. You are to read here, not do there! You can hurt internal stitches, cause seroma, etc. You will also give DH's and other support people a false idea of what really happened. Don't build their expectations to think you don't need them to do all that! Relax....it's such a short time we get!
Thanks Lursa, Shiny and Sharon, I got your birthday wishes in time! I got 'em all!!!! T'was my most friend-celebrated birthday EVER!
-
FAITH: Just got off your web site. First, if I looked as good as you my face would be plastered all over my avatar! Loved the pink hair, pink dog and especially the pink traffic cone. Great blog!
BTW ladies, I had a dream last night that I actually did some housework and couldn't wait to post it on here. When I woke up I realized dreaming doesn't count - does it?
-
OH yes it does! Especially on the weekend!
-
Hey ladies! Faithie...I also checked out your site...what wonderful pics!!! LOVE THE BOA!!! and the pink dog...lol I also was touched by all the names...I have a walk coming up on Memorial Day weekend...thinking I'll do the same thing...meant alot. shiny...(((((((hugs))))))))) thank you so much sweetie for your well wishes...I go get the infusigram tomorrow a.m. and if all's ok then will have my third AC on Tuesday. Thanks for the prayers!!!

sharon... YOU'RE BACK!!! so glad to see you posting again...we missed you!
Kimberly and nancy.. hope all goes well for you gals and you recover quickly...
Makraz...cover those annuals! I think the cold weather we have is heading your way!!!
Well, the cable guy was here for 6 hours yesterday!!! Oh my gosh...I thought he was movin' in.
The boys are happy though...they have a gazillion channels to watch now.... I have to relearn my favorites
Here's hoping all you beautiful ladies have a blessed day! Janet
-
Wanted to go out and take a peek at all the new shoots coming up in my patio garden arnie but the chilly air is keeping me inside. Sure hope it doesn't freeze here. Guess the good thing about it being a patio garden is I could technically drag everything indoors. If I do have to that is going to have to count some points....big time.
-
mom... bless your heart...it's very chilly here today too! They're talkin' frost in outlying areas tonight so I'll be hauling my ferns back in again...
I'm waiting to put any annuals in until Memorial Day weekend... just to chancy here in Michigan.... YES...it counts!!! lol

We went to church services yesterday. They started Saturday evening services when the four Sunday services became jam packed. Although last night I was looking at the crowd and even the Saturday seating looked to be pretty full too.
Anyway it was about not letting anxiety and fear control your life and the sermon title was called Chill. So afterwards they have two ice cream trucks parked outside and anyone who wants can go get flavored shaved ice cones. (Did I mention they had choco tacos too! yummy!)
Next week they are having a tailgate party where anyone can meet in the parking lot (which is huge) bring a barbeque and cook out before services begin. I am so wanting to take the family to do that one. Think I will do the old standby of hot dogs and hamburgers so it will be easy to clean up before service starts. Anyone have any other fun ideas for a family type tailgate chime in and let me know. I tend to be the work, work, work type of gal so I'm trying to loosen up and have some of that fun time with hubby and the kids.
-
nachos with salsa? Guacamole and chips. Notice a pattern here... chips. The blue tortilla chips are healthy and tasty and no real mess to clean up. Sounds like fun.
-
mmmmmmm love chips with cheese and salsa. Was looking online just now for tailgate recipes and need to find some games the kids will be able to play too.
-
Faith, I just checked your blog........seeing your shirt with the names of our dear sisters with angel wings brought tears to my eyes. And then seeing all our names.......well, it's such a special thing you did!
Kim, glad the surgery is behind you. Arnie, sorry that port is still causing you grief.
We've got some chilly nights ahead of us, darn frost!! Covering plants surely counts as "work"?
Gentle hugs to all. It's a long weekend in Canada. That means NO HOUSEWORK for all
-
Faith, I'm speachless.
You've inspired me to FURSHUR make it thru chemo and do some BC non-profit work.
Thank You isn't enough.

I did not go to church today. Mom went and took 2 kids, 2 kids satyed with me, 2 kids are at the coast in a band parade and dh took oldest dd with him to Oregon to get a motor home. I am just sitting here relaxing.
-
Just got home from our weekend away. We had a nice time, but it poured...and I mean POURED rain. It took us over four hours to drive 135 miles and we saw 7 major accidents on the way down. Of course, this was on I-35 which is always a mess anyway. Last night ended up clearing up and turned into a pretty nice evening. We enjoyed what little time we had on the Riverwalk. It was good to get away before chemo starts if only for a day.
Looks like I missed a birthday party!! Hope you had a wonderful day Barbe!!! Happy, happy, happy belated birthday!
Faith- I cannot even put into words how touching it is to see our names on your shirt. I had tears too. You are amazing!!
Hugs and prayers for all!
-
When do you start chemo TexasRose? I go for my third AC Tuesday if the test for my port goes ok tomorrow...
-
Hey MaryRose so glad you had a good trip. Sorry the weather was kinda icky though. I'll be thinking of you as you start chemo. This too shall pass.
Arnie....I forgot, but have you already done Taxol, or will you do that too after AC? I sure hope and pray your port situation goes good tomorrow. I'll be praying for you all day!!!! Promise!
Kimberly wow.....a new motor home? For your family? That sounds fun! Hope you're enjoying your time relaxing. Enjoy it while you can:)
Mom.... your church must be HUGE!! Sounds like the tailgate idea will be a blast. I saw any kind of food is a big hit.
Kathleen I don't think I've ever dreamed of housekeeping before. I would wake up with a hot flash for sure......hehe....next time you dream....could it be my house that you clean? LOL
Sharon is that your feet with your new pedicure? Loonie wants to know
lol
-

-
Whoa..........that's right Mom........I just did the math too. Bless you Kimberly!!!!
