    Mom, by the way, I saw the horse when I got home. I WANT one too! That would have saved years of agonizing letters to Santa Claus. My brothers and sister always got what they wanted, but I never got my pony.....sigh.Cry

    Mom, I'm proud of your brother too!  What a guy!!

    Barbe, My future sis in Law is from DR too.  Is your future son in law from there or are they just getting married there.  I'm asking because many we will be related some day!  Wouldn't that be funny!  Never happen, I know!

    He's done it for so many years now arnie sometimes I probably take it for granted too much. I just know he works so hard all year long, year in and year out trying to raise money to feed the poor there.  I don't know how he keeps it up, he travels constantly, always has a phone to his ear. His house is always a whirlwind of activity and people. Can't even begin to tell you how many people he has opened his home to over the years, helped out etc. His wife can fix a meal for an army in no time flat. Exhausts me to think about it.

    mom...often pondered the prompting some people get to do wonderful things like your brother...thank goodness for them...

    speaking of brothers... it was a week ago today that my brother Bruce collapsed and was rushed to a hospital in Grand Rapids...  He had a brain bleed...I am so happy to report that they got to it in time and he's doing remarkebly well.  I got to talk to him yesterday and it was pure joy!!!  He told me his bald head will be uglier than mine because he has 18 staples...lol

    Arnie, so glad to hear about your brother's great good fortune & your brother, mom!!

    Let's hear it for brothers.

    Tomorrow's our Komen walk -- weather forcast is dubious..... everyone cross your fingers that the rain holds off till all 40,000 folks cross the finish line. It's always such an emotional occaision.

I remember going years ago when my DD was about 2 years old. It was August...we went to the zoo, and her cheeks were soooooo red!! We liked to have scorched, but it was a nice trip.     Hi Girls,

     Sorry I missed out on such a great week. Barbi, congrats on your B9 report. Have you found a dress for the wedding yet? How're you going to pack enough watermelon for the trip? Jayne, glad yor operation went well, Hope you are recovering ok. arni, waiting to hear about your port. I've not had too much trouble w/mine but they've not been able to make it work yet, either. Mom, you got a pony & a Doctor! how cool! Texasrose, hoping for a s/e free chemo for you! Keep us posted, please! Coonie! Where did you get that pic of my RV?! Actually, my X built that on the back of a 1968 chevy PU. (not really but he WAS the king of rednecks!) Makraz, glad you made it thru your nature hike. I am not fond of walks in the rain.

     Who'd I miss? Don't be mad if I did. I can't claim chemo brain YET but I am practicing.

     I'm finally over the flu. I started taking my wellbutrin about 4 days after the flu hit me. It made me feel even WORSE! I tried to keep on it, but finally had to go off. Too bad too, cause I could tell it was really helping with the smoking. Tween that and the patches, it would've been way easy to quit but I swear it made me feel like I'd been hit by a truck. 

     Today is the first day in over a week I'm starting to feel human again.

     I've been lurking tho. It's too hard to keep up with you gals if more than 1/2 day is misses! LOL.

     Housework....DH turned into a dynamo when I was down. Ran to the store, cooked, cleaned the kitchen, bathroom & laundryroom plus did a bunch of work on the truck. He's fantastic. I just have to learn how to quit feeling guilty about not being able to get arouns and learn to ASK for what I need/want. We women have, for somereason decided just because we can read minds, others can read ours too. I'm trying to get passed that. DH said the only thing that bothers him is when I wait too long to ask for what I need.

     Ok. Gotta go catch up on a few other threads.

    Stopping in to say Hi to all....It's soooo busy here but will ATTEMPT to Dust everyones Bunny this Morn....

    First off I made myself do something this morn before I got on the Puter!!!!! Dinner is in the Crockpot....Load of laundry dried & Folded (Undecided...not put away yet). Dishwasher loaded & going! Kids fed & out the door to School....& I got my Shower!!!!

      LOL!  OK now where do I start Here! he he he 

    Starting & working my way backwards.....

    Makraz.....Your not a Grinch.....Your Normal.....when the kids are off to school....DH to work....it's so nice to have some Peace & Quiet!  So you can regroup for the next go round! Years ago when we put an addition on our house.....Imagine working Night Shift & trying to sleep through Construction....I went through a lot of ear plugs....

    Arnie.....Head in the Sand alert.....I missed this one!!!! Major DUH!!! All aside....I'm Sure you are so RELIEVED to hear his voice........I'm sure it was One of the Sweetest things You have heard in a long time! Hopefully you will be Able to see him soon to rid the notion of who's is badder than the Other....Wink!

    Faith.....I hope the Clouds Part & the Sun shines.....But if it should Rain....maybe it could be a Sign that a Higher Being is Washing the Hearts of 40,000 PLUS HEARTS FROM PAIN trying to infuse them with the POWER TO FIGHT...POWER TO GO ON....POWER TO BELIEVE.....THAT VERY SOMEDAY SOON.....

    MOM.....You know it feels good to be able to type that word as it has been 16 years since I have said that Word (MOM) let alone written it!!!!  With that thought said.....I just want to say What a Wonderful brother you Have....Truly remarkable! What a testament to Human Kindness!

    Mumayan.....I have the same trouble from time to time....So I go find another pic....Sad but true is does happen & no matter what I do I just can't get a pic to post sometimes....Not sure why....just one of those Puter Blocks....Non the less Very Agrivating!!!!

    Barb....Ahh Punta Cana....My son got to go there with a Girlfriend & her Family a few years back at the age of 17.....Enjoy it for me as I will probably never get to go....One tip for you though....if your an ICE lover in your Drinks.....It's not something they have much of.....My Son said if he ask for it....he only ever got ONE CUBE!!!! LOL! They don't like there drinks cold!!!

    Barbe I went back for a quick nap after my posts earlier and had the clearest dream I had gone to this place where all these people were gathered and sitting on blankets and where I sat was down by 3 other women and when we started talking something the woman closest to me said made me realize it was YOU!  I let you know I was mom from the housekeeping thread.  Felt so neat to actually meet someone from on here. (Only it was just a dream).  Too bad cause you were very nice to meet.Smile By the way
