Wait till you hear this, I told dd#1 who in all fairness is finishing up her Associates Degree this month and working and getting ready to move on campus in the fall that I was giving in and hiring someone to come in and do the cleaning for me till I get over this tiredness. She does that teen look thing that only a teen can perfect and says Mom why can't I do it. (exactly what I've been wondering all these months). So I told her to do it and I'd pay her instead IF she did it well. So I go run a few errands, come back and the house looks great. Ok so trying not to say the "WELL WHY DIDN"T YOU DO THIS BEFORE" thing with the exasperation pouring from each word as only we moms can perfect.

I guess the old addage..."Better late than never" works here...lol
-
Arnie I think you need an award for "best picture finder"........I LOVE THAT PIC!!
I really love the dog:)
-
BIG HIGS to you too Deb!! You are a brave woman!!
I made it through the rain! The kids loved it because they got to slip and slide through the forest. It was cold and raw and WET!!
I forgot who asked, but this one was not a sleep over. I make my DH do those!! I did do a sleepover at an armory 2 years ago. DH went with me and the kids. It was my 40th bday, nobody could sleep because 150 boys were giggling. I went to the bathroom at 2 a.m. and unexpectedly got my period. Of course I had nothing and the Armory did not have sanitary machines in there bathrooms. It was a LONG night!! I will always remember my 40th bday....for all the wrong reasons! BTW DH took me to Cape Cod with NO kids the next weekend, so all was well!
-
Glad you're home safe and sound Makraz!! Would be a bad night outside if it's cold and rainy.
Arnie...did I miss something. What did you say they were going to do with your port situation? Wish I could sit at home in robe and slippers for a few days. Even told DH he could take my keys and hide them......wouldn't bother me a bit
OhioDeb.....so glad you got your stuff done. Hoping and praying you feel better real soon!
Has anybody heard from Lori, Kathleen, Lursa, Pam, KAK??? I think I saw MaryRose post earlier. MaryRose...how much longer before you start your treatment?
((((((((((((hugs everybody))))))))))) I got in the pool for about 30 minutes today.....wish you all were here:)
-
I have a infusigram scheduled for Monday mornin' at 8:30 a.m. They will go in to see if it's blocked and if it is I have to have it replaced....ugh! Praying it's not and just sore from sitting on a nerve or something...we'll see

Wow Linda you'd think with all the female recruits that that kind of situation would be remedied by now. Personally I think the feminist movement set us back more than forward. Now we have to mind the homefront and go to war.......if thats what they call progress...........sheesh!
-
Arnie, best of luck tomorrow.
Mom, there were 2 women at the overnight. She didn't have anything either. Fun night!
Coonie, hopefully our friends will be checking in with us soon. Have you checked out by your pool? Perhaps they heard about the caravan heading your way!
-
Ooooohhhhmmmmmggggoooooooddnneeessss.........IS THAT WHAT THOSE motor homes are doing parked up and down my road??? hehe I better open the gates and let 'em in. And buy some more food!
There's one of these parked in my DRIVEWAY!!!
-
Coonie, where did you find that pic? That's hysterical. There's got to be a good red neck joke that goes with that pic! (No offense to red necks!!)
-
heheheeee....I googled "redneck motorhome"............taadaaaa

Hey Coonie! I popped in earlier. I have been busy getting ready to start chemo. I was scheduled to start on the 25th, but I wanted to change my treatment days to Tuesdays. My sister will go with me some and she is a NICU nurse and works weekend nights. She sleeps on Mondays which I totally forgot when I picked Monday for treatments. Anyway, I talked to the clinical trial nurse today and she said the 26th is the last day I can start and use the test results I have already had. After that, I would have to redo the tests. NOT doing that! So, she wasn't sure if that included the 26th or had to start by the 25th so she was checking with the trial people. As it turns out, clinical trial nurse didn't realize the 25th is a holiday and the clinic is closed. If I can start on the 26th with the tests I have already had, I will start then. If that is too late, I will start on the 19th. So I was totally freaked today because I might lose a week. I have been trying to take care of whatever I need to take care of before I start.
Linda- I am way, way, way down south too and we never close our pool. We use it from usually mid-May to late September, but we never cover it and we keep chemicals in it year round. Less in the winter. The pump has a freeze guard on it that kicks in and turns the pump on at 35 degrees. The water is way too cold, but technically you could swim all year in ours. We keep it ready all the time. BTW, that was a really sucky 40th birthday!!! Glad your hubby made up for it later!
Mom- Way to go on getting the help! Daughter or whoever! My husband has told me to hire someone, but I hate to do it. It makes me feel useless. But he tells me that my job right now is to get well. We'll see how I feel once chemo starts.
Deb- Glad you got some relief!
Arnie- Hope the port situation is resolved soon.
Barbe- Happy early birthday!!
I know I missed people. Hugs to all who need it!! Love ya gals!
We are going to San Antonio this weekend to stay on the Riverwalk. I love it there and I am really looking forward to it. Wish it was longer, but it will do me good to get away!
-
Coonie, that's funny! Is that really what you googled? It's perfect!
Mary, your lucky to have a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable sister. I hope your treatments go as well as treatments can go. We'll be here to hug and support you when you need it. Let us know how it's going.
So the directions from Coonies house to Marys are: Pass coonies house, go south, go south a little further, and then go south some more! I wanna go!!!!!!!!!!

Went to run an errand today had to stop by a mechanics shop to get an estimate. Talked to the guy and then the owner got back in the car, looked down and there were my breast forms peeking out from my tank top.
How embarrassing was that!

Just point...lol Seriously though, am sooooo looking forward to seeing pics from your daughters wedding! I still play the video of my daughters wedding and that was back in 2003...

My brother and his wife are down there right now Barbe. Their 2 girls will be heading down on a mission trip as soon as school is out too. They often spend many weeks in the summer there setting up health clinics, feeding programs, building schools, churches etc. If you want to see about the ministry he does there you can go to this link:(hopefully I will get this right as its my first try) http://www.go-ministries.org On the left side of the page there is a column that says staff and he's in the first picture. I'm really proud of how my little brother has given so much of his life to helping peoples lives there. He also does outreach to Haiti and Mongolia. One of the missionaries in the Mongolia pictures is a dear friend I went to Bible college with.
-
You must be proud mom! He's a doctor?
Arnie, I'm going to Punta Cana, Majestic Colonial hotel. Where is Punta Cana? I can't see it? Was this all just a dream? Waaaaaaaaaa
-
Here it is Barbe...
Mom...just checked out the website...you should be very proud of him...
-
Whew! That's my plane???? It looks so SMALL!
-
He's a missionary and part of their ministry is setting up health clinics to help the poor people there. Then my brother finds volunteers here who are doctors, nurses, dentists and are willing to give of their talents, time etc. to go down there and see patients.
We sometimes complain about our healthcare here but compared to what most people in this world have we are very blessed.
-
Silly me...that's the AIRPORT! Sheesh! I'm silly sometimes...
