Val the problem with games is somebody always loses. I was sure B would win but it was really close. And a little controversial. I had no favorite.

Sandy glad you enjoyed Macys even though you are a little achey.

Thanks for asking about DS. He is good but always a little sadness. He is missing NY a lot. He was supposed to stay with his best friend --a sweet girl in NY--but he told her he had to cool it because she is so attached and making demands. So he broke her heart this week end and we were all sad but not allowed to talk about it. He is sad but being honest. Cant handle long distance commitment and stressful new job.

Oops sorry so long here -- was just TOL.

    Nite,

    J

Hope you had fun with the little ones, Meece.

Glad you got to work and had fun with Lala, Sandy.  I'm waiting to hear back after an interview I had last week.

Was rooting for the 49ers - sorry they lost.

Sorry about your son, Joan.  I'm not looking forward to my kids moving out...(as much as I wish they didn't live here sometimes - lol)

Glad you had a good time at the gathering for your mom's bday, Linda.

Gotta go to Big Y and get a rotisserie chicken dinner fixin's for Mom. She's a very picky eater - most of the time she doesn't like what they give her for meals. Sometimes she does, so that's good for variety, but we have ziti and chicken dinners for her in case she doesn't like what they serve - those are her favorites.  When she asks what's for supper - and we say ziti - she gets all excited and says "yummy, yummy, yummy."  Of course she immediately forgets that's what we've told her...  I hope her memory improves.  It wasn't great before, but it wasn't this bad.  So sad and scary.  She's only 69.  I used to be glad and feel so lucky that my parents were so young...

I had a good time Saturday.  Not enough of it, but good!  The older kids played in my guestroom with Legos and watched "McGee and Me" videos and the adults played cards.  I got to hold and rock the baby.  I felt like I had really accomplished something when I rocked him to sleep.  He's so sweet.

I was more sore yesterday than Friday.  I only have one large bruise on my forearm, but I would have expected more.  My shoulder is tender to touch and I have less strength in it right now.  My wrists are a little sore, and my hip is painful to touch and when I up.  DH said maybe I should go to the dr. but I will wait a day or so and see if it starts improving.  All I can think is how did I keep from smashing my face on the pavement, and somewhere there is a security video which documented the whole thing!

Meece glad you didn't break anything..and had a wonderful time with family...

Chris wow mom is young.....went r u supposed to hear about the results of the interview?  What was it doing?

Joan, thanks so much and glad you got to spend time with DS, they make choices and we have to let them, it sucks for me wen I see them making wrong ones, but I have decided, last week, that I will let them do whatever and keep my mouth shut....they don't want to hear me anywhere, they think I am stupid and have no idea what I am talking about, some of my kids have to learn the hard way...

    Shiela where r u?

Linda.....did you go to the gym today?  What are doing with your time now that you aren't working...

ME....I ate something, diverticulitis flared up over night and I was up and down every 2 hours and I ate cheese breadsticks with ranch dressing, annie annes pretzel and the cake, that is it WTF....really.....so was supposed to go out today, not a big deal but am iin....bbl....

Meece. Just a word of warning. I would have what happened to you documented. You never know what the outcome could be, and then it'd too late. Don't like the hip pain. Girl you really banged yourself up. Think about what I just said.....co-pays are not cheap when and if you need any type of treatment or therapy......been there, done that, and it was expensive.

Was it on the grounds , or inside a store, and what was on the floor/ground could be considered negligence on their part. At least go to them and tell them about it. Especially if someone was with you who saw what happened. Hope you feel better....hugs

It was just outside of the store as you walk onto the sidewalk from the parking lot.  On those bumps to alert sight impared people. I was in the store ten minutes and when I came out they were using one of those big propane scrubbers to clean the whole entrance.  Must have been something slippery on it.

    My shoulder feels better tonight.

Meece. Go back and report what happened to you. They keep records of when they do that type of work......let them know what day and what time yo were there......it's called covering your ass.......my story is too long to tell, but trust me, you need to report this to the store.....

Glad you are feeling better, Meece. I hope you are just bruised and will heal up good as new.  Reminds me of when I fell when I was out running one day.  I had dragged my kids along with me - they were on their bikes.  They had taken off on me down the street.  I don't even know how I fell - I think I might have stepped on my shoelace - they were too long.  After that, I double-tied them.  I scraped myself up pretty good and felt totally foolish.  I also fell on my shoulder - I think it was a reflex to turn to the side so as not to smash the face.  I limped my way down the street. Kids were waiting for me at the stop sign - didn't think to go back looking for me.  Then again, they probably never thought I might fall down - lol.

The ironic thing is, I fell on a brand new sidewalk near the spot where I always thought I would fall on the formerly crumbled asphalt sidewalk.  They fixed it up nice and THEN I fell.   I had planned to jog with the kids to the ice cream store to get ice cream, but I had to go inside to wash the blood off myself and put on band aids.  By the time I was done, it was dark.

Sorry about the diverticulitis, Sandy.  Hope you feel better and can figure out what caused it to flare.  Stupid intestines.

    Ditto what Linda said!

So tired of workers, I went into Boston Girl Bitch Mode and told them to work normal hours or be replaced.  All were gone by 5:30.  I hate roofers most of all at the moment.  Insisted they had to work all weekend, which is brutal noise, and then didn't show today until 4.  I really was hardcore and foul-mouthed on them but pretty sure they will show up in the morning to finish the job.  Funny that they can only speak English when asking for money.

RayRay, one day you will look back fondly on those tiny hand prints, just not on the freshly painted walls.

Sandy, you are not an idiot.  The picture isn't great... How about this one...

I am doing much better today.  It still hurts to touch the shoulder and hip, but they don't hurt to move.  I must be coming down with something.  My lungs really hurt.  DH called to check on me and I warned him I would be asleep when he gets home.  In other words, no0 dinner prepared.
