Hi Sheila...thanks for thinking of me.......found out my daughter is going to go to work full-tint..her job-share partner decided to go for another job, so it was either break in a new person, or do full-time.......it will be 4 days in the office....1 day working from home. She decided it was better for her to go full-time.........she is right, but I will miss our thursday and Friday outings. I so looked forward to them, and also we would go to the shore on Thursday morning, now we won't. Oh well all good things come to an end eventually. But doing it this way pushes her salary up yo $70,000 per year plus a much larger bonus, 5 more vacation days. , and 2 more personal days. She has a great job with a Pharma company in Philly, and they just moved to a new building in the Navy Yard complex (sandy, you know where that is), and it is a 1/2 hour less travel time. So it is good. Will miss our quality time, but it is what it is......waiting for the snow. They just upped our inches. ......great
Bought my granddaughter a gorgeous cherry wood vanity for her room today.....conformation gift...she is gonna pee her pants when she sees it........hugs all...... -
Good for your daughter Ducky!! You will find other ways to spend time together.
I LOVE vanities, have always had one! Hope she loves it!
-
Linda....I know we will. ..she had 2 brilliant children 12 and 14 who are both straight A students, so college is their future, and we know what that costs. However the girl is a fantastic softball pitcher, and will also be playing volleyball next year. Girls do very well with scholarships at her school especially if you play 2 sports......her son is on the golf team, and also is excellent, making the Varsity team, as a Freshman. But you never know outcomes, so you must have the resources to send them........I have 2 grandsons (one of my sons boys), and their tuition is $51,000 a year each boy. My other daughter put 3 through college, for a total of $600,000 total for the 3 of them.....expensive for her, but all 3 are making 6 figure salaries now and they are 28, 26, and 23 which for them paid off. Hopefully they never forget who gave them their start. Raising kids is not a cheap deal.........so yes, I will find another way to have quality time.....I'll have too, right.....lol.....stay warm dear friend, and hope Mother Nature is not to tough on you.......hugs.
-
Thanks Duky, but I am no longer speaking to mother nature. 24-35 inchs??? Really??
My son will start college next fall so I know what your kids are dealing with. You've gotta do it though!
-
Every hour they are updating the snow......so far 12+..Blizzard conditions up to 60+ MPH wind
Now we all sing and pray we don't loose power...lalalalalalalalalalalalalaaaaaa
Ducky....i'm very proud for you having smart kids.......Good Luck
MASS schools are already closed......sorry Linda.....
Chris's area will be under snow
This morning I was watching the news and TOP 5 places to be in winter....HONOLULU was #1
I'm dreaming again.............
-
-
-
And you should keep dreaming! Your dreams WILL come true!
Yes, no school, blizzard conditions. I am SOOOO happy I have a generator.
-
Wow.......I am worried for my New England ladies.....our inches are going up, but yours are unimaginable. Winds 60 to 100 mph. God help everyone..down our end , NJ, Del., can't take much more, nor some of North Jersey, and NY. Let's pray for everyone. Hugs.
