    wow.busy thread on a sunday....Joan---if you cannot get that flu shot there is tamaflue that kicks its but God forbid you do get it....most pharmacys do give it especially if you tell them you are a cancer patient....love using that card...its the only thing that makes me smile with this damn disease.when i play that card and i know i shouldnt i get my way fast!!!!!

    Sheila im takin nexium for yrs....i take it at least 1 hr if not more before i put a drop of food in this rotten stomach...And you lost weight.Im proud of you sista.

    Shiela well with this stupid diverticulitis finding things that work and don't work in the food supply, tomato sauce is acidy so white pizza works....

    and oh btw kids are a PIA the older ones not the twins....the bigger they are the bigger their problems.....I have enough BS of my own don't need theirs......lol

    I don't do self Breast exams....I don't know how.....to me everything i touch feels like a lumpInnocent

    So I try to spread all my apps like MO..BS...Gyn......

    rayray - welcome - personally, i always have regretted not getting the mothers cut off instead of a lumpectomy.  They are huge, uncomfortable and worrisome so what is the point.  No joy in these killers anymore.  If I want them off now, I have to get a mental health person to state that it is necessary for my wellbeing.  I can do that, but first I need to find time.  What a pain in the ass.

    Back home from the cabin where it got down to 3 - my DH seems to revel in the cold snowy atmosphere - I think it's pretty from inside and stop asking me to go snowshoeing!  I revel in the winery near the cabin.  Today while watching football, I discovered that I am not the only survivor in the large group who gathers there and that I am also not the only survivor who can't buy into the three glasses of wine per week recommendation.

    In my pj's at 8:30 - yay!

    Welcome RayRay! Don't mean to be a debbie-downer, but it never ends, does it? The fear.... We will all be "in your pocket" tomorrow keeping good thoughts for you. Be sure to wear a top with lots of pockets! Ha-ha! We'll try not to make too much noise!

    On a lighter note, I went shopping for bras Saturday for a new style. Omg, has anybody done that recently?!? There must be a million kinds - I was two hours looking & tried on several different ones. I saw a bra by Warner's & on a tag that covered part of the plastic hanger was .....> Put "the girls" back where they belong <...... It was a No wire bra. In fact, there were several manufacturers that are now offering no wire bras. I remember looking after my lumpectomy for one & I swear I only found one, maybe two. I tried on the "put the girls back" one & I liked it but it's not the one I went with. Anybody here wear a no wire bra? Or tried one at one point? Just curious. I didn't buy one at the store because I like to have mostly the Damask color, more nude, & they didn't have any. So, came home with my 30% off Kohl's coupon & ordered online. They are on sale also, buy one/get one 1/2 off. Plus, free shipping over $75. Great deal!!

    Oh, Chris, I am so sorry for what you are going through with your Mother. It must be zapping a lot of your strength.

    Ray Ray I get where you are at totally. I am regretting not insisting on off with them both. Now it just seems to be a constant worry if there is something quietly brooding there. In your pocket tomorrow and hoping it all goes well.

    Glad your voice is coming back, Sandy - sorry about the kids' problems.

    3 degrees - brrrr.  Hope it warms up a little.

    DH is sick - AGAIN.  Sickness is everywhere and he still won't try to avoid germs.  And when he has germs, I don't think he tries hard enough not to spread them around this house - and I say so and he still doesn't make an effort.  I think DD is doomed.  She sat next to him on the couch yesterday watching the Pats - and he was coughing up a lung and using the remote.  Then when he left, she took the remote.  I told her she was going to get what he has - she got some Purell and put it all over the remote.  But she had already used it - and she showed him some stuff on her ipod, handing it to him to germ on several times earlier in the day.  I suggested she get some plastic wrap and put it on the remote, but she didn't.  That's what I do when someone is coughing and blowing their nose and then touching all over the remote.  I'm just waiting to catch what he has and then not be able to help with my mother.  Thanks, asshole. 

    I just glanced at this little calendar I have here by the computer and saw that it said January - for a second I thought, "Oh, I have to change that."  Ha - it has been such a long month so far, I thought it must be February by now.  lol  I'm losing my mind.

    Oh, Chris, you poor thing.  You need a break once this is under control with your mother.

    Valjean, I only have no wire bras.  Unfortunately, the ones I love are no longer available.  After recon, my PS told me absolutely nounderwires!  I need to get out there shopping again and get rid of the bras I don't like.

    RayRay, welcome.  At my last set of MRI/Mammos I was told I had several cysts in my "good" breast.  It makes it more difficult to do self exam, but I had FCBD and it has always been difficult.  I found my cancer through self-exam.

    Ducky, thanks for being on my team.  I moved away 8 years ago, and thankfully I am sure he has long forgotten me.  Scary thing is when a law enforcement person wants to find you, he can.  I am in a different town with a different last name.  Too, much work for him I'd think.

    Ray, welcome, we love when new people come, we are a little insane sometimes, (well I am) and slap people around sometimes also, but never each other.....it is so "normal" whatever that is to be nervous, when it is mammogram time I used to always get nervous....it never goes away, although I don't get mamms anymore I get that....we are here and we understand, don't hesitate to talk about anything, we can take it, lol....

    Val....Bra's, I have been uneven since the lumpectomy in 96...never get anything to fit, have to wear padded ones tho.

    Chris this sickness better go away.......

    Meece that sounds interesting and exciting.....3deg is a little cold for me, I wouldn't be going out, let alone snowboarding, ???? do you have a pix of the cabin, would love to see it....inside and out....lol...do I sound like a stalker?

    Still sick but have chemo on wednesday after my week off, had an appt today but canceled, am not going out until Wednesday when I have to, don't want to stop after I just got started again....the twins are sick and actually being nice to me, George just offered me bacon he made for himself, WOW that is too cool......

    Val....I need some serious bra shopping myself....Tried couple of times but no luck.....It has to be wireless and some cotton in it......Not sure what exactly what my size is....i wear a 36DD when I'm lower in weight around 162-165 fits me nice....when I start gaining weight probably need a K cup or something...........Innocent

    Chris and Linda...Speedy recovery for both ......

    Meece.......I don't know what wine pairing is...but i'm sure you'll be great organizing it.....

    Girs,Girls Girls....bra time!!!!!I must have spent 500 bucks on bras and the best one that my PT told me to get was at NY&Co.ya gotta try it on tho....its like long and stretchy.My PT wears it.It looks like a tank top but its the best i have had since i started this ugly journey....And they always have sales.I thought i would be a med.cause of the DD but when i tried it on i was a small....

    Im leavin for pa today for my sons surgery....the final test is thurs and the surgery is on jan 23.Ill be away till some time in thhe middle of feb.but i will have the puter.Just say a prayer or 2 will ya?

    What's bothering you Sheila?  Are you having anxiety over finding the right bra ;)  Do I need to pour some more bleach?  Open up the hatch and let some others in??

    It does take a few days to get the results of biopsies.  I had mine on a Monday and got the results Thursday.  We'll be waiting to hear the result:  B9 !

    Ok - maybe sick sense of humor is a bit strong...definitely good senses of humor on here though- probably why they put us in humor and games...

    Complain away, Sheila - that's what we're here for.  Hope the anxiety subsides soon!

    So scary and creepy that that guy stalked you, Meece.  I'm glad you aren't near where he is anymore.

    I'm glad your boys are being nice to you, Sandy.

    Ha - bras.  I wear a bra that doesn't fit me at all.  But no bra would fit me.  When I measure myself, I think I would be a 41A - no one makes that - lol.  So I wear a 36A and it's too tight around and my left boob spills out slightly and the right doesn't quite fill the cup. 

    The first time I tried on a push up bra, I felt it pushed what little I had out the top.  Then a couple yrs ago, I tried one on again.  OMG - I looked HUGE.   I don't believe in false advertising.  If I don't have anything, I don't have anything.  But it would be nice if I could put what little I have in something that fits right. 

    My mother was a bit better today.  Not nasty like the other day.  That was so stressful - we couldn't do anything right.  They are talking rehab now.  She is very weak and this morning, she knew she was weak and that it was going to take some time to get her strength back.  She did walk a short distance down the hallway with walker, though she didn't steer very well.  Her coordination is a bit off too.  The rehab place they are trying to get her into has a special cognitive unit - which would be awesome if they could help her.  I'm fantasizing about her getting treatment not only to get her back to baseline, but even make an improvement on how she was before.

    Ducky is the only sane one, and she is so refined and polite!  She'd make Miss Manners look like a cad! (JK, You know we love you, Ducky!)

    I wear a sort of camisole over my bra when I can get away with it, it helps keep my spillage in place somewhat.

    Glad your mother is doing better, Chris.

    Sheila, I hope everything that has you upset will calm down.
