Good for you Linda! Gotta be happy.
Chris - you are smart and are certainly not socially awkward in writing
Sheila - hope you are asleep now.
Sandy - hope you are feeling ok - glad you were able to get back to Macy's. What department?
It's still really cold here - tonight for a bit, it was both raining and snowing. Not sure I have seen that before. Working on unpacking office stuff. I used to have my own desk and now I have to share with DH who is not so dear about sharing space. I don't want to merge my stuff with his and he can't make me.
Thinking of Meece, Ducky, Granny, Chabba, Deb and all the other lovelies from TOL.

Meece, checking in. Been gone to Arizona for the New Year Holiday and time with Patch. I came down with the stomach flu on Tuesday and spent the day secluded from the rest of the family. We came home on Wednesday which made travel less than pleasant. I was still a bit queasy and really achy so being in a car for 11 hours was rough. Still achy yesterday as I began to get the Christmas decorations down to be put away. Today, I am still in bed, I think I over did it yesterday. I will get up and get going soon.
Thanks again for being concerned as to my whereabouts!
-
Meece...so happy you are back with us.....Hope you feel better soon...try not to over do too much
Big hugs from NY..♥
I posted yesterday that it was a very productive day...well...I did little too much trying to move the mattress and some other stuff...I'm so out of shape....or could be I'm becoming a senior citizen....
lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalaaaaaaaaa
Sandy....I love reaDING YOUR MACY'S ADVENTURES....HUGS
Diane...Maybe you can make a small area just for yourself in another room
12:22 pm.....not too cold but for me anything under 70 is cold.......
Hugs and kisses to TOL♥

Any pictures Meece? Glad you got a nice visit in.
COLD here too. Trying to clean everything and rid this house of germs!

I made a very mix dinner tonight...Had some salmon leftover......
And few veggies...parsnip, carrots, zucchini and 3 red potatoes......I just boiled them....
Mashed the potatoes and the fish+ mayo= Delicious.....
And a big bowl of veggies.......while watching Brady Bunch and absorbing...how the kids were polite towards their parents......Alice was using the rotary dial phone....imagine household of 9 only one telephone line and no call waiting
I thought I should share it with you.....

Take care Meece

Joe's (SIL) mother sent this...lol
<<<<A drunken man who smelled like beer sat down on a subway train next to a priest. The man's
tie was stained, his face was plastered with red lipstick and a half-empty bottle of gin was sticking
out of his coat pocket. He opened his newspaper and began reading. After a few minutes the man
turned to the priest and asked, "Say, Father, what causes arthritis? The priest replied, "My son, it's caused by loose living, being with cheap wicked women, too much alcohol, contempt for your fellow
man, and lack of a bath. The drunk muttered in response, "Well, I'll be damned." Then he returned to his newspaper. The priest, thinking about what he just said, nudged the man and apologized.
"I'm very sorry, my son. I didn't mean to come on so strong. How long have you had arthritis?" The drunk answered, "I don't have it, Father. I was just reading here that the Pope does." Moral: Make sure you understand the question before answering. >>>>

Three in a row from WA
Unless that lid closes like Safeco Field, we would be damp all the time.
-
The lid would be protecting me from the sun most of the year.
-
Hope you had a wonderful time with Patch - sorry it ended on a sick note. I hope you feel much better tomorrow.
They took my mother off the vent, but she had to go back on later. Seemed to be having some trouble breathing and her vocal cords were swollen. I don't know if that is what was causing her trouble... She's still not really communicating. They said it could still take a few days for all the drugs to get out of her system. I'm concerned something else is going on. But we have to wait.
-
Poor thing. I know how difficult it can be when your mom is in a hopsital and "out of it". Just about two years ago my Mother had her galbladder out and became Septic. It was a long recovery, but WE made it through it.
I think dealing with my dad learning to deal with everything by himself was the most difficult.
My visit with Patch was great. He started calling me Me-ma, and would just sit there and repeat it over and over. Her seamed to like the way it rolled off his tongue.
-
sepsis sucks....had it and it sucks...
Me Ma, bet DIL loved that one.....glad you are back in one piece, and thanks for checking in worry about people when they are not around although we knew you were going
Shiela, back to Macy's today, but won't be wearing the boots, shoes from now on...imagine if I had been scheduled for those 10 hours ones, OMG....

Hi TOL, Happy New Year...
Thanks for the shout-out, Sandy...
It was a hectic holiday time, travel to CT, DC, with DS from Chicago and later DS from SFO. Three grandkid birthdays, too (Smile)
Back home, work one day, and SLAM I got sick - 50% in bed and trying to be up more...head cold, everything clogged, aches and chills gone.
I know many are fighting colds & flu (Meece, Sheila, Linda, others) ... am wondering if my body can't fight it off as it did before rads, hormone therapy, etc. I can't imagine modifying my lifestyle but I feel it's coming.
Sandy, it's amazing to follow your days....it can't be easy but am glad your job at Macy's is a place you like to be. Stay well!
Chris, I just read back about your mom's illness - how difficult this must be for her, your dad, you and your family. I am sorry to hear that her progress is slow and am sending hugs and prayers.
Linda, sorry to hear that sad news...so young...makes me sad/mad about ca.
Missed your big snow...I was in DC...but my DD sent pix from Otis ski area - very snowy.
I hope everyone stays warm while waiting for the warm-up that's promised.
Sheila, loved the tree-nest but I think your point was that we need to go there, not bring it home :-) As soon as you move to the Islands, I think there will be a call for a reunion at your place!
Hugs,
Joan -
have no voice, have I mentioned that...and have to go to the gynocologist tomorrow....lala is here, jamie took the others to chuckie chz with her friend, think she threw out the idiot that would be the 5th time....he is such an azz and makes my blood pressure go up, hate seeing my daughter cry....oh yea, I was there the other day, he left and had hooked up his phone or something and taped our entire conversation, really!!!!
Sandy 356....nap time....didn't go to sleep until 130 and up at 630am....boys are at tommys watching football....
