Thinking Out Loud.....

I think we all need an all expenses paid vacation
-
Chris - that is a terrible start to the year! How is she now? Docs don't do much holidays it seems - you will probably find out more tomorrow. In the meantime, glad she got started on antibiotics.
Sheila - we DO need an expense paid and WARM vacation.
-
I always thought that you started with a cold and it developed into pneumonia or bronchitis until DD had pneumonia when she was 3. Her first symptom was a 104 fever - no other symptoms. The next day, she started having cold symptoms and the next day she was coughing pretty badly. Poor little thing.
My husband keeps getting bronchitis/pneumonia - a couple times the Dr said he had pneumonia, but he didn't have a chest xray, so I don't know if they were just guessing. So I guess he has to be careful from now on.
We have to wait and see on my mother. She is in the ICU. My father is sick too and was up most of the night watching her - so by this evening, he was exhausted. I hope he is able to sleep tonight.
-
ok - Dr was right - even though they did find pneumonia, she didn't think that was the cause of the sepsis and it isn't. Apparently, her small bowel had eroded and is leaking and she needs surgery...
-
christ...i'm sorry for all the health problems of your mother.......hugs♥
Diane ...I wasn't kidding about the vacation...of course in a warm place...I always wanted to go to Fiji Islands...what do you think/
I need in room massage service too
(((TOL)))

25 degree with wind chills making it 14...........We need to sing.........
lalalalalalalalalalalalalalaaaaaaaaaa
-
This is sooooo funny......
-
Well, my mother does not have pneumonia and was not septic after all. But they think it could have been a UTI - somehow UTI's can cause you to be altered.
We started out the day finding out they thought she had a fistula between her small bowel and bladder and that feces were actually in her bladder - but they did surgery and found out that she didn't have one. A scope of her bladder did reveal two small tumors - surgeon said they looked low grade. So, I'm hoping they did not spread and all she will have to do is be watched closely for recurrence. Surgeon said most bladder cancers are caused by smoking. I guess all the toxins from smoking sit in the urine and the bladder and cause damage. Hopefully since she isn't smoking now, she will finish going through the withdrawal from the nicotine addiction and then can once and for all quit smoking. She's always said it's a worse addiction than heroin. Well, by the time she's back home, she won't be addicted anymore. it will be the habit she has to break then. I hope she can do it.

Chris I am so sorry, but at least it isn't sepsis, that is what i had and it is not cool....

Hawaii does sound (and look) nice... I think I would like it there.
-
I feel like I'm in a TB ward - DS was coughing and DH is still coughing up a lung... He finished his antibiotic - he thinks it helped get rid of his fever, but he's still coughing.
How is your family, Linda? On the mend, I hope.
-
Good luck to your Mom Chris ♥
Family is on the mend sloooooowly!
-
-
Good morning also, and thanks yet again Sheila for the desktop and when are you leaving cause a trip to hawaii is in store for all of us.....
Linda is everybody there sick?

22 degrees here in WA. Brr!
-
Sandy, you need to move to Hawaii with Sheila!
My mother's nurse said it was 7 degrees when she got in her car this morning...brrr. At least it hasn't been windy. (of course the winds will probably start howling because I said that...)
They were going to try to take my mother off the vent. She was doing well breathing on her own at first, but there was so much jostling around - they did an xray and then came back and did another xray in the middle of the respiratory people doing their thing - she got so agitated her heart rate went way up - they decided she wasn't ready to come off the vent. So we try again tomorrow.
-
Oh Chris...everybody doing something of course the heart rate goes up.....
You should write a book......You always make me laugh not just what you say but the way you put it in words.......hahahahahahahaha...HUGS♥
I was productive today......I'm giving things not just clothing to Brothers and Sisters.....
I found a lot of pretty stuff and I don't want them and have no use for them........

Good luck with Mom tomorrow Chris. I hope she is ready to be taken off the vent.

-

I'm thinking to turn the computer off....make a cup of tea and watch some TV
Good Night my friends♥
-
me too Shiela...it is 824pm watching the big bang theory, don't even like this show....tea sounds good, but hot chocolate sounds better.''
good night all...
Sandy
-
You don't like Big Bang Theory? I love that show. I think it's because I want to be smart so I like shows about smart people - and I'm socially awkward, so I can relate to the characters in that respect.
Glad you can relax now, Linda.
Hope it doesn't take the whole 3 yrs to get you to Hawaii, Sheila.
